Ok, y'all were so right for us not to cancel Sept and keep the Dec too. I'm going to talk with the specialists at their new school tomorrow during Rees' evals about the Sept trip. With everything happening this week, it just shows me how much he goes through and if Sept would be better for crowds, then we'll go then. BK and Davis will be fine missing a week. Honestly, Rees is going to have a hard time with school period. Since he'll have an aide and/or a Resource teacher to help him, I don't know if missing that week will matter. I'll let you know what they say tomorrow at the meeting.

And, truthfully, I really want to try MNSSHP and go when I can wear shorts and swim!

Denise,
You know your kids better than anyone else!!!!
You would really have a great time. Maybe you could even do the Food and Wine at Epcot depending on your dates.

I hope you don't mind if I share this with you all, but it was a nice "mommy moment" after a long day at work.

Let me set it up: Nicholas showers in our bathroom, since he can do it himself now, while Alyssa is bathed in their bathroom. The other day they got those tub crayons and paints, and have been being little artists during bathtime. So, I didn't get home until around 8:30 tonight, as I had to do some errands after work. As I walk into my bathroom, I am looking right at my shower, and this is what I see:

Hello! I just thought I would share a bit about myself. We live in State College, PA - home of the Penn State Nittany Lions. I became a SAHM after I had a high-risk pregnancy and had to be stay off my feet for the majority of the 9 months. But I gave birth to a healthy, happy baby boy, Jayden (we usually just call him Jay), who is now 19 months. Prior to that, I taught at a private Pre-Kindergarten program for 11 years. I also have a DS7, Dillon and wonderful husband, Jess (who LOVES John Deere tractors!!!) I am currently home-schooling Dillon (1st grade) and am really enjoying it. Are there any other home-schooling families among the DA's??? :confused3 I am also very involved at our church - I teach Sunday School, a mid-week program for kids, music ministry (pianist), and Vacation Bible School director. And that pretty much takes up all of my time (and energy)! I adore children, and as you can see, most of my time is spent with them throughout the week. So I am really looking forward to becoming part of the DDA family and having more contact with the grown-up world! Can't wait to get to know each of you better as well!

Hi Shana Dh Jeff and I are considering Homeschooling our DD Olivia. I think Tia is considering homeschooling Terra.
again welcome.

Marti,

the boys go for their first real karate class today at 3pm. I have their uniforms all washed and ironed. They are very excited!

Great! Something fun for them to take their minds off of real like - I really hope they like it! Good luck...

ETA: Don't forget to take a picture of them in their gi's -- first so that you can post it so we can see how cute they look, and second so that you can look back and chuckle at how cute they were on their first day of karate. We did that and I'll tell you - Matt was so small and looked so cute!!!!!

ETA2: Happy Anniversary Theresa and DH!

Morning gang. I'm back on page 1247 I have about 50 pages to catch up on. along with cleaning house today, laundrey and baking something for our march of dimes bake sale we are having at work tomorrow. We had a breakfast in march and made over 500 dollars. I hope we do close to that well tomorrow.
so I just caught up to my post. have i done anything yet. well no accept wash a sink full of dishes. I really need to get up and start doing something.

Whoa, I am beat today !!!!

I had a Drs. appt. this morning to go to, so I had to get all of the kids ready that I babysit for so that my neighbor could watch them for me. I rushed around getting dressed, making beds, having my own kids ready for school, and I had to have everything ready by 8:30A.M., I really don't know how you working moms do this on a daily basis. So I went to the Dr. (which by the way told me I have lost 15 lbs. since I was there last month  , I am SO excited, I have been working So hard)!!!!

I then left there and went home to pick up cupcakes to take to Carli's school for her B-day snack. I got to school and asked if I could stay and visit and they said sure and asked if I wanted to help w/ the Easter egg hunt. I stayed and ended up hiding about 500+ eggs in about 15-20 mins. the kids had a blast!!!! I ordered cupcakes from Sam's  for Carli's treat, I just didn't have time to make 44 cupcakes for today. So I ordered them and I 'll tell you what, there were 2 dozen cupcakes for $11.28 I got 4 dozen, they were SO pretty!!! Everyone said that they tasted really good(I didn't try them, I was being good ;) ), I had them tint the icing pink and purple and they put Hello Kitty rings on them-they were SO cute!!! I would definitely get them again!!!

So we took a couple of cupcakes down to Kyle's room for him and his teacher and his aide, his aide asked me if I wanted to take the classroom hamster home over spring break because everybody that usually takes it home is going out of town. What could I do, Kyle & Carli were both begging me to take it , so I did. All I have to say is I hope to God this thing lives for 11 days, because knowing my luck that is what would happen!!! Kyle and Carli are SO excited about it!!!

Anyway I left there and went home to rescue my neighbor, she asked if we could get lunch , so I ran and went to Chipotle for her and got McDonald's for the kids. Got home and Carli was asked to go to the zoo w/ some other neighbors, so I ran around getting stuff ready for her to go there w/ them.

I Hurried and threw down some lunch w/ my neighbor. She left and I had to feed 2 babies, and then put 3 kids down for a nap. The house was trashed So I had to straighten up a little bit. I feel so out of my routine from running around all morning and just out of sorts. It is definitely just easier to stay home with everybody!!! Just one more day of babysitting and I am off for 10 days   !!!

Then I just sat down and

Alright, I now have 55 from 3 people so I am going to trust you all. :) Now I just need the sale to continue a few more days so that I have the money to buy it. (And hope that Denise doesn't get the last one. :teeth:)
I'll look for my paperwork and see what it says about weight. I bought mine in early 2004, so I don't know if they've changed anything.

Chanon - Next time you're on the TGM forum will you look at my revised itinerary and see what you think. I was trying to take some of the advise, but I'm not sure if I like how it turned out. I don't think my version was too bad, especially with just the two of us so we'll see.

Everyone else - What is your preference when it comes to park hopping? We tend to park hop every day. The main reason being that we don't usually take resort breaks because, well, it's just not worth it for me. Terra either naps before we get back or wakes up as soon as we get there so then I have to entertain her the whole time so it's no break for me. If we stay at the parks, hopping gives us a nice break. Plus, I like the change in scenery. My original itinerary had different parks for AM and PM. Trying to take into account some advice from other posters I ended up with 3 days that are all the same park (4 if you could our AK day from open to the parade and then no plans for the night). What does your family prefer?

Some days we hop - some days we stay in one park. But we usually always head out around 4 so that we can get some dinner offsite and maybe grab a nap and a shower before going back out for the evening stint.

OK...I am behind...don't think I'll catch up..so what's the deal with Pal Mickey? Is he travelling all around? Can I still sign up??

I am going crazy...since Bill's dad died in Feb. his mother has been doing very poor (mentally). Every day there seems to be a new problem, delusion or paranoia to deal with. Some days I have a hard time dealing with it.

Kristine

Sending you :grouphug: Kristine. Hang in there you'll be on your DDA trip before you can say supercalifragilisticexpialidocious :wizard:

Tia-I have ordered from Albee Baby twice and had great service from them. The 2nd time I ordered from them was for the Pliko and I called them to ask them the differences between the model years. The person I spoke to was very informative. Perhaps you could call them and ask about weight limits and feature differences between the models. I have heard that all Macs are now 55 pounds.

That's what I finally did! I called Maclaren directly and they said that ALL of their strollers are rated to 55lbs. I guess 2003 and earlier they were 40lbs, but have since changed. I guess some sites are still picking up the old specs. If I decide to go for it, I think that I will go with Albee Baby as you just can't beat free shipping!

I'm waaaayyyyyy back there and trying to catch up. After being sick for so long I finally gave up and went to the doctor this morning. Lung infection and sinus infection.... so I now have amoxycillan. Should start to be better soon. I've missed all of you. I'm going back to catch up now. See you soon - it'll probably be like two weeks by the time I get caught up!!!!!
 Oh no Marti I think I did give you the lurgy :sad2: that's what I had. Get lots of sleep -I started the amoxy on Friday night and felt much better by Sunday - then I sat in front of the tv on Monday and was back to work Tuesday... I felt better by about the Wednesday.

:grouphug: :wizard: Feel better soon :wizard:

I'm all caught up (again). Denise, prayers and :grouphug: for Rees. That poor boy goes through so much! Midnite, glad to see you again. Marti - hope you feel better.

My first post on the old monster thread was #436 on July 17, 2005 at 5:06 p.m. I had "lurked" for awhile before then, and had read all the posts from the beginning.

Just so I don't get in trouble with the queen, I will remind everyone that I am leaving tomorrow for Virginia and won't be back until late Sunday night. I probably will not be on the computer that night, and have to work the next day, so the earliest that you might hear from me is Monday night. It will probably take me days to catch up again. I'll miss "chatting" with you all and keeping up with you all.

Have a happy Easter or Passover, as the case may be.

Have a great trip :yay:
