I definitely want to meet you, but this trip we are going to be rushing. I'll let you know before one of our summer trips. We always have a bit more relaxed schedule then. :sunny:

Sounds like a good idea -- come on the way home and we can barbeque!!

Has anyone eaten at Cape May for dinner? I am trying to decide between here or Concourse Steakhouse. Any opinions or suggestions for another place?

We have not eaten there for dinner but love it for breakfast. One thing though - if anybody in your party has a STRONG aversion to seafood, they will not be able to go with you. I've only walked by it and it turned my stomach. Its an old fashioned clam bake - but the smell is just too strong for me.

Thanks, Tia.

One more question.....does anyone have a son that is in cub scouting? I'm just testing the waters and trying to gather some info on it.

Matt was in - PM me for some details....

I agree, it is a beautiful prayer. I really appreciated it. And Glynis up in the middle of the night praying with her DH. WOW is all I can say and most, importantly, thank you from the bottom of my heart. Now I'm crying again 'cause I'm overwhelmed with the love I'm shown here.

One of the neatest things I've found with this group is that when one of us hurts, all of us hurt.

Ok, y'all were so right for us not to cancel Sept and keep the Dec too. I'm going to talk with the specialists at their new school tomorrow during Rees' evals about the Sept trip. With everything happening this week, it just shows me how much he goes through and if Sept would be better for crowds, then we'll go then. BK and Davis will be fine missing a week. Honestly, Rees is going to have a hard time with school period. Since he'll have an aide and/or a Resource teacher to help him, I don't know if missing that week will matter. I'll let you know what they say tomorrow at the meeting.

And, truthfully, I really want to try MNSSHP and go when I can wear shorts and swim!

We'll keep the pixie dust flowing for Rees tomorrow Denise. And, as always, we're here if you need us!

Marti,

the boys go for their first real karate class today at 3pm. I have their uniforms all washed and ironed. They are very excited!

On the topic of the Disney shortbread cookies: We love them at our house!

My kids love that they have chocolate on the back, and favorite characters on the front! We've had Mickey/Minnie, Donald/Daisy, Pooh/Hunnypot, Chicken Little/Fish Out Of Water, and all the Princesses in Spring Bonnets. They are darling. They smell wonderful, but I haven't been able to try them, yet. I've got another 20 pounds to go before I dare. But they are so cute to look at!
did you find these at a superwalmart? where at walmart did you find them?

Yup a superwalmart. We don't have any of the smaller Walmart's anymore. They are either in the bakery section, or sometimes I find them near the entrace on the food side. I'm heading there in a couple of minutes. I always look to see if they've got something new.

What does the packaging look like? Are they in a bag or are they in a bakery container? Anybody seen them at Super Target?

Denise - If Rees has this surgery relatively soon, will he be recovered enough to go in Sept? But maybe it won't be as bad now that he is older and his recovery won't be as long. Or maybe it will be good for him to get away for away, especially if you take it easy.

Saying prayers and thinking good thoughts for you all. :wizard:

I'm estimating a month for recovery. I think he deserves and needs a break. Disney is his passion (yea!), and I really think crowds will be a big problem. But, I'll wait and ask everyone's opinion tomorrow at the meeting how missing a week of class would impact him. If they say he'll be fine, we'll go in Sept. If they think he'll have a hard time, then we'll go in December.

I just need to make a final decision before MNSSHP tickets and MVMCP tickets go on sale (probably at the end of this month).

That's not too bad then, in the grand scheme of things. Heck, if he is recovered enough to go to school, he is recovered enough for Disney!!!

I hope they enjoy karate.

Bob's sister is married to a Jeff Risdon. I think Jeff is 35-36? Does the name ring a bell at all? (Worth a shot!)

Should I recognize this name from Amherst or Miami U? :teeth:

Either way, it's not ringing a bell right now, but after 10 years of teaching and 5 years of advising yearbook, I have a lot of names in my head!

Plus, I have pregnancy brain. ;)

Amy :)
