I hope everyone gets over the sicky sick that is bothering them. Easter or any holiday for that matter is not fun to be sick on.

Spring-cleaning???????? :confused3 Is that what I am supposed to do the first part of spring?

Well if the weather would let us think it was spring, I might be able to get into it.

I am off to Ellie’s school party, then lunch w/ mom for her birthday.

Later today I am getting my embroidery caught up and I hope almost finished. Then I have a super secret project I am working on. I’ll let you all know when I finish.

LOL I have not tried either of the places & wanted us to try something new. I have Cape May booked, but Concourse sounds good as well. Oh decisions, decisions....... I guess I am not really trying to compare, just trying to make up my mind :thumbsup2 Thanks for your input!

Wow... two toally different restaurants! Cape May is a buffet with LOTS of seafood on it. There is also a landlubber's side, especially for the kids, but my DH always heads to that side too! ;)

Concourse Steak House is a sit down restaurant that specializes in good steaks. They do offer other items on their menu (which I am sure you already saw) but their strength is in their beef.

Both are good choices, but not two that I would try to compare and choose between! Has that completely muddied the waters for you now? :rotfl:

I don't know why I haven't went yet. I should plan a trip there. I have been thinking I really should go before the 50th celebration is over at Disneyland as I have become obsessed with the Remember... Dreams come True fireworks show after I saw a video on it.

Off to price airlines and things.

Is the Celebration officially ending at the end of September?

Becky

That was the plan in the beginning, but it looks like it's being extended until the end of November. Things could change, though.

Where's the best and cheapest place to get a Macleran? Is the Triumph what I would need for Rees? He's 41 pounds and 45" tall. He definitely has outgrown his stroller, and I need one mainly for Disney, going to the zoo, etc.

Kristin, which Mac did you buy?

This is the one I am looking at: http://www.specialtybaby.com/ma20trstcrin.html

It is the one that Deb said she used for Hunter. She said that it is rated to 55 pounds which I have no heard from two people, though the site does say 40. However, none of the other Maclarens say anything about weight. The same site has other Triumphs, but they are more expensive.

I would so be up for that. My DH's sister lived in Anaheim the first 4 years I knew him and not once did we visit her. Mainly because she is my SIL and we do not get along at all. But I should have been willing to go just to see DL. I have thought that my girls would love it there as when we were in WDW in November we spent 90% of our time in the Magic Kingdom.

Robyn, where do you live? I was just curious!

Well, we ought to see how many people would be willing to do a DDA meet in Disneyland and go from there.

I have the Triumph and I love it. It's been on 3 Disney trips and it's perfect. Very lightweight, folds and handles easily, and tough. I know when I bought mine it was rated for 50+ pounds (I think 55). Christopher is 45 pounds and we basically only use it for Disney with him, but no problems with the weight.

Tia, how are the new hours going? DH and Tia ok with it so far?

Well, I don't know. Phil and I were just "discussing" that part. For me, it's okay, but I'm not thrilled with it. By about 12:30 or so, I just really hate my job. Phil does not like it at all, but I can't tell how much of that is him not enjoying being in charge for so long and how much is really having a problem with it. Terra I'm not sure about. She has woke up crying most mornings this week, something she also did for the first month or two after we moved here and I started being at work when she awoke. I tend to think that she is just adjusting. Phil thinks it would be better if I changed to 30 hours a week working 8:30-3 (I'm doing 6:30-3, but don't think they would let me end my day any earlier than that if I changed). I don't see how my being there for an extra two hours in the morning will make a difference, especially when she will be asleep for most to all of it. I think our major difference in opinion is that he thinks Terra doesn't like me being gone so long whereas I think the issue is my being gone all afternoon.

Okay, much more than you were expecting from such a simple question, I'm sure. Thank you for asking, though. It helps to know that we are thought about. I just think that I am really going to have to step up the St. Louis job search because then at least there would be options for Phil and Terra in that she could play at my mom's or sisters' for awhile to give them all a break.

I'd be there! Any excuse to visit my best friend, meet some DDAs and oh yeah, see the inlaws to. I'm still holding out hope to get out there for Mother's Day weekend, plus I'd get to spend my 30th in DL, but the plane fares just aren't cooperating.

I knew that you would back me up, Tia. Wouldn't it be fun to see everyone at DL?

Rees did well again last night. He did reflux a little at choir, but I gave him meds and he rebounded ok. Talked to the GI doc nurse this morning (she's been around since the beginning with Rees). She was going to see if we need to come see him on Tuesday or just go straight to the Surgeon. I'll let you know as soon as I find out.

Oh, and Rees has the 2nd half of his testing at the school tomorrow for his IEP. It's at 1pm, so if you can pray for calm, focused, attentive, happy, and cooperative, I'd appreciate it.

I'm glad that you got ahold of the nurse. It sounds like she will really be able to help you out.

Prayers for a good day tomorrow for Rees' testing.

Alright, I now have 55 from 3 people so I am going to trust you all. :) Now I just need the sale to continue a few more days so that I have the money to buy it. (And hope that Denise doesn't get the last one. :teeth:)

Please pray for my Rees. I can't believe this is happening to my baby again. I am absolutely devastated.

Hello. I don't usually post on this thread because I can't seem to keep up to speed, but tonight I was drawn to read the posts. I came across yours and wanted to share this prayer with your family.

"I said a prayer of healing for you - body, mind, and soul.
That God would bring you comfort to restore and make you whole.
I prayed you'd be surrounded by His awesome love and healing.
Dispelling all anxiety or pain you might be feeling.
Finally, I prayed you'd be uplifted by His grace,
And feel yourself enfolded in the peace of His embrace."

I will continue to ask the Lord for HIS strength, wisdom and comfort for your family as you face the upcoming medical tests, and deal with Rees' pain. There is nothing more difficult for a parent!!! :grouphug:

"But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles, they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not be faint." Isaiah 40:1

Shana
what a beutiful prayer

Connie is doing ok. I think she's making her peace with what happened, and is really trying to focus on the younger 2 boys (14 and 10). It's her husband that's not doing so well. He's really angry. I guess that's to be expected.

How are you doing? Is Rees doing any better?

I agree, it is a beautiful prayer. I really appreciated it. And Glynis up in the middle of the night praying with her DH. WOW is all I can say and most, importantly, thank you from the bottom of my heart. Now I'm crying again 'cause I'm overwhelmed with the love I'm shown here.

So clare's post about when we all came along inspired me - here is a list of when people joined the original thread (up to the first 20 pages) then I skimmed to see when the real designing began for Midnite and I and when the chatting began - I could be wrong as I didn't read anything - but here is a quick synopsis

And followed up with this a few posts later

Then followed by this:

And on page 36 – I made this statement

On page 37 – I posted the first off topic post – about Julia & Belle – it was related to the first design I ever did – someone asked how Julia got to ride the teacups with belle

Then on page 39 – it was all over when I posted this:

On page 169
Chaoscent dubbed us the Disney Design Addicts

And it appears that Marti and I started the first conversation shortly after with a discussion about (Of course) DVC!!!

You can look here to see when you first found the DDA!!! (if it was the original thread)

then we can see when everyone started posting!
good synopsis of our addiction.
