My baby is trying real hard to come to grips with us not going to WDW this summer. She said this morning..."But it was going to be my first time." Made me :guilty: . Then she said "What if daddy doesn't have a job then either." The poor dear certainly knows how to lay an unintentional guilt trip on. I think she may come by it naturally from my side of the family...my mom and grandma do it well....mom says I do a good one too.

Sorry to hear this..Hope things will pick up & you will be able to plan for a trip in future. Good luck to you & DH. :grouphug:

Hi, everyone. Thank you so very much for the prayers and calls. Rees had a good nights sleep and was able to go to school today. I've talked with the GI doctor this morning and am waiting to hear back from him on whether they will schedule the Upper GI ASAP or do an endoscopy instead. I am certain he will need the Fundo repaired quickly, and John and I both want it scheduled as soon as possible. We don't want to see Rees in that kind of pain or do permanent damage to his esophagus.

Again, thanks to you all, and I will keep you posted.

I am glad that Rees had a good night's sleep and was able to go to the Easter Party at school today. Prayers and pixie dust for continued good nights and as easy a time as possible with all of this.

How is his job going? I know you said it was just temporary but is it working out well for a temp job? Sometimes those are more difficult than permanent ones.

Heard from the GI doc. His regular nurse is out today. He is on-call in the hospital this week, but wants to see Rees Monday. I'm not happy about waiting that long. If Rees has another bad episode, I'll go to the ER so I can our doctor sooner and possibly get admitted. I hope he understands how bad it is, but I'll make sure he does Monday. Then we'll get the test and surgery. May be longer than what I want. Going the route of the ER may be our best alternative.

I still haven't had time to read or catch up today, but I'll try to get to all the pages later after choir.

He loves the job....it is temporary...but only in the sense it's the way they try people out for the job. The colleges here have to offer benefits to all PERMANENT full time workers....as a permanent job opens up he should be able to get in there. He is on garbage duty this week....he actually likes it but I don't think anybody else does as he said he gets comp time for doing it.

Thanks for asking

I didn't want my other post to seem like I was whining but when life gives you lemons you have to make lemonade, I just haven't figured out what the flavor of this lemonade is going to be. :teeth:

I really hope Rees doesn't have another episode, but if he does, I would go straight to the ER. Maybe you should have a little bag packed just in case....then maybe you won't have to use it!! (That's what happens to me -- if I anticipate something like taking my umbrella because it looks like rain, then it is guaranteed to not rain.) I hope that is the case with being prepared for the ER. Hugs to Rees, you and the rest of the figs. :grouphug:

I hope this is resolved quickly!!!

Poor Rees and the rest of the figs!!

You all are in my prayers!

Right now you need to spend time with the family you live with, not the DDA family. Just the fact that you are keeping us updated on your busiest day of the week has me amazed.

We will all be here for you whether you are up to date or not. :grouphug: and :wizard:

You didn't sound like you were whining at all. And even if you were, we'd all understand considering it is a Disney trip that you don't get to take! What a bummer. Keep us posted on his job so that we can celebrate your trip to Disney that will be planned!!!! :rotfl:

Kristin, I love the Princess designs.

I just created this:

Nice pics but this was my favorite. Tigger is my favoritest!!! I think it is because I bounced around like him when I was younger.

DDA, I could use some serious prayers for Rees (and me) please. Here's some background so you'll understand the seriousness of this issue.

Denise, so sorry to hear all that Rees is going thru, you had me in tears reading that and just wish there was something we could do to help you and him. :wizard: :wizard: :wizard: :wizard: Prayers and :grouphug: :grouphug: for you all

Ok, I just spent about an hour trying to find my first post, but finally had to give up! I lurked from pretty close to the beginning, but I don't think I posted until about June or July or August of last year. I was so terrified to open my mouth in front of you all, since I don't design, and was afraid you'd run me out of town on a rail! Thank heaven that didn't happen.

Denise - sounds like you have a good plan in place for Rees. If things get bad again, I would definitely take him to the ER. That poor boy needs to get feeling better sooner rather than later. I'm so glad that he got to go to the Easter party. I know he was so looking forward to it! Get some rest and keep your strength up!

My firstborn son is going to be 4 tomorrow. Wow! Where has the time gone?! For his birthday we're just going to do cake and ice cream with the family, but this weekened we're taking him to the park in a neighboring town that has a kiddie train, kiddie roller coaster and a merry-go-round. (This is their website.) We plan on spending the day there. Tonight we took the family out for a pre-birthday dinner at a nice new Mexican restaurant.

This is my boy riding on the train last year (the date's wrong on the photo!)

Hope you all have a very special day!!! :bday: Sounds like lots of fun!
