I'm not officially. I am waiting to hear from 1 more parent and I don't have their baby until Wednesday, I figure I will be booking regardless though I just feel like I have to wait to hear from them. I have arranged for someone to watch my kids on both days and I have also made pedicure and tanning appts. for the night before :teeth: !!!

I am having my garage sale on Friday 4/21 & Saturday 4/22, Weather Permitting!!!! Let me know!!!
But the real important question is did you make your segway ressie yet????

I have the opposite problem...unless it's nailed down, I can pretty much get rid of anything!! I keep the really special things the kids make. There is no way with 4 kids that I can keep every project, craft, picture, story, poem etc. that is made. I have found for myself, the administration of so much stuff became paralyzing!

ITA!!! I started out keeping all of Katie's things, but quickly decided that only keeping one or 2 things would be enough. I can't imagine how swamped I would be if I kept everything from all 4 kids, plus the "creations" that they do at home.

I saw a cute thing in Family Fun a while ago where a mom built a "frame" for each of her kids on one wall. Once a month (or week, can't remember) she would choose one of her kids creations from school and slide it in the frame. She would then take a picture of the child with the framed creation, and it would stay until the next one was chosen. Then they would go into the trash, and the picture would go into the scrapbook. I thought that was a good idea, but I haven't gotten around to doing that.

I was gonna say scan everything or take digital photos of it and keep digital copies. Store it all on cd or dvd. Print out what you want to keep and make a scrapbook out of it. Or print the favorites out on the t-shirt transfer paper and make quilt squares and make a quilt or make pillows, t-shirt or something similar.

You could also print out favorites and frame them or make place mats and laminate them. You could take favorites and make a wall calendar for family members for next year.

With the originals you could have him write a letter on the back and give to your relatives. Such as thank you notes or just notes to keep in contact with family members.

I'm sure I could think of other things, but this is all I got for now.

I should do this as I still have stuff from when I was in elementary school. But to put that into perspective, when we cleaned out my Grandmother's house we found writing samples from when she was in elementary school she is 86.

Wow! These are some great ideas! You are going to be one with it mom!

Hi. I feel pretty silly lamenting about this, with the more serious problems we all face, but I figured you might be wondering where I've been all day, so here goes:

We lost one of our cats today. We noticed Mickey was acting a bit odd on Saturday, but it was easy to assume he was at odds with Lucy, the other cat. (Lucy is the alpha cat and she typically puts him in his place.) Yesterday, we noticed he was walking funny, so I made him a vet appointment today for when Kevin got home from work, so someone could stay home with Alyssa. Well, when Alyssa and I got back from getting her pictures taken this morning, Mickey couldn't even walk, so I begged Kevin to come home early and I rushed him to the vet. He had a bladder infection and though he survived the process of unblocking him, his heart gave out after the procedure. I feel terrible. He was only seven. And Alyssa keeps asking where he is. :guilty:

I'm going to turn the computer over to Kevin, because I asked him to design our Easter card, but I'll try to check back in later tonight and respond personally to some posts from the last 36 hours...

Oh, Amy, I'm so sorry. It's very hard to lose a pet. You will probably notice Lucy acting odd over the next few days, wondering what happened to Mickey. We have 2 dogs and 3 cats, and I know the day will come sooner or later, when I will have to bury one. The oldest is Shane, our dog, who will be 15 in October.

It's okay to grieve for him. You loved him and he was part of the family. :grouphug:

Not Yet  !!!! I just don't know if I'm up for public humiliation!!!!
Kate, I think you need to have a word with Julie about the rules of our trip.

The words "We're All in This Together" echo in my head......

Oh you all are putting me to shame!!!! If I can get my windows cleaned, inside and out, this spring, I will be happy.

Speaking of being emotionally attached to things.....what do you all do with the items/projects/papers that your kids bring home from school? I have done a binder with everything for Nicholas' first 2 years of preschool, but in Kindergarten I have collected so much more stuff. It is probably stacked a foot and a half high. I love having his writing samples, pictures he's colored, etc. throughout the year and I thought it would be something nice to look back on. I just need to figure out what I can eliminate and what is a must keep.
We only keep the really special/important things. The rest I have in a stack to either scan or photograph and store on CD's.

Are you looking for the "cruising with Mickey" one, with the waves in the Mickey head? I have that one saved, I can PM you as well. :goodvibes

Jennifer -- I hate to ask because you have a lot going on, but could you send it to me as well? I'm kicking myself because I didn't pull off everything I want to use for our trips this year. If you don't have time now, just wait until you do. I don't need it for a couple of months.

Thanks.

Graduation Mouse ears are now available at WDW there are $14.50 a pair plus tax.
