OH MY! He'd kill me!
He gets enough tough love from his father. On Thanksgiving, his dad didn't even bother asking. He just asked "Isn't it time for more grandchildren yet?" :faint: (We don't have any kids!)

Well he obviously doesn't GET hints so we could get straight to the point!!! :lmao:

Why don't you propose and you could wear one of these wonderful square wedding designs of Queen Kate's????

Nope. Eggs, a colander, a little vinegar, some food coloring, and water.

I'm certain you could handle it.

What is the vinegar used for? I saw it over by the easter things and wondered. We loved Easter in SA, they had the most wonderful eggs, they looked like real eggs with a hard white candy white a thin layer of chocolate and then were hollow - yummy.

I don't know what it's purpose is, but you always mix a little in the dye before you dip the eggs.

I couldn't propose...it's just not me. All I want is to be suprised. And after 7 years, it'll be a suprise.

Marti,

so good to hear that Paul does not need surgery. My DH had rotator cuff and bone spur surgery in 1996. The same day a friend of ours had surgery for something else. This was where they let you go the same day once you come out of surgery and have rested a few hours. So there I am helping my DH get into his clothes. My friend kept telling me how she could hear me giggling cause i was having a hard time closing his jeans. All she could hear me saying was "I cant get it up" :lmao: (The zipper in his jeans) (he had a belly that just wanted to get in the way of the zipper :lmao:

I just wanted to say thank you to the DIS and the DDA for fueling my Disney addiction, my Diet Coke addiction, allowing me to have a place to celebrate and cry without being judged, and giving me a home away from home. This is a wonderful group of women and men, and I'm proud to be a DDA! I love you all very much.

Now, on to 10,000!

YAY Denise. :yay: :yay: :yay: :yay:

And I love seeing your typeface too!!!

Hey Everybody!!!

Just popping in to say "HI" !!
I've been a good girl all day today and I have been cleaning all day!!! I almost have the whole upstairs finished up and re-organized!!! I just can't get over the amount of stuff that you accumulate, and I have always thought that I did a good job of keeping on top of the junk---I guess not judging by the amount of stuff I have to sell at the garage sale!!! It feels so good to be organized!!!

Now the fun begins and I get to move on to the basement :guilty: , I am dreading that the most!!!! I guess that I will start on that tomorrow. I have my last CCD class tomorrow too :Pinkbounc !!!!

Hopefully everybody is having a good weekend!!! I will check back in in a little bit before I head on to bed!!!

Julie :goodvibes

Whew! It's been a hectic few days! I'm just glad that I was able to get caught up.

I'm loving all the pictures you are posting. Our scanner is on the fritz right now, but when it works, I'll have to try my hand at scanning our wedding photos and posting them.

Glad to hear that the storms and tornados have bypassed the DDA family. My heart goes out to those that have been affected by the storms.

Amy - what's the latest? Did dinner go well? Are they interested?

Vicki - I think sending Pal Mickey on the DDA trip is a great idea. And of course he needs a matching wardrobe. I just want to see him on the Segway tour.

Hope everyone is doing well. We've been hit with a bit of the lurgy. Just a cold, right now, but I'm nursing it. I don't want it to get any worse.

Good night all! See you in the morning!

Well if he doesn't get the hints and you cannot propose seems like you are stuck between a rock and hard place .......and hopefully the rock turn out to be a big one in some shiny metal!!! :thumbsup2

I cleaned up my Pm's.

Ok. Not only am I addicted to this board but now I'm addicted to my Pal Mickey. I think I'm definitely going through my second childhood! :rotfl: Told you guys I wasn't old! I have been buying clothes & accessories for him since I've returned from my trip. :earsboy: Now that my girls are older they won't let me dress them up and show them off. What's worse is I want Disney to come out with a Pal Minnie so I can dress a girl 'cuz there are so many cuter clothes for girls. :earsgirl:

I am creating a webpage for my Pal Mickey. I've always wanted to play with webpages but am not ready to create one for the family (too many pictures to scan yet). Here is the link to the beginning of the webpage and a link to his pictures. Don't worry I'm being careful not to spend too much so that it interferes with my DVC plans!!!! :rotfl2:

My DH says that the vinegar's acid reacts with the calcium in the eggs to help set the dye. If I have a question like this, I always ask him. If he doesn't know (which he does more than half the time), he looks it up on the internet for me.

Now, what woman would lie about her age and say she's OLDER than she is? Not me! I was born on D-Day - June 6, 1944. That makes me 62 on June 6, 2006. Maybe it's pixie dust and not just young looking genes (from my Dad).

You look incredible!!! I would never have guessed 61. No way. :yay: :yay: :yay: 06/06/06. Kate's going to have a ball with that!!!

I tried the Publix brand Pineapple Sorbet and it was good, not as good as the Blue Bunny and I mixed it with Pineapple juice and enjoyed it.

I've gotta try it....

I've been good today. I've gotten lots of pictures organized. Becky is helping me by scanning the pictures. I need to work with her to get them named and dated properly.

For Katrina's graduation, I had to scramble to get all the pictures in the frame where there is a slot for each year. I found the pictures and my BIL put them in the frames the day of graduation. We also had to sort through boxes of pictures trying to find some good ones to post on a bulletin board.

I'm hoping to have everything so organized for Becky's graduation next year, that there is no last minute picture stuff. I'm really hoping to have a family powerpoint presentation put together that I can have running during her party. The week-end of Becky's graduation next year is also my 25th wedding anniversary week-end. We'll probably have both celebrations that week-end so that family only have to travel once. I can't believe that I'm actually getting them organized!!! If all goes well, I will be putting together a family presentation of my growing up years for my brother, sister & mother for Christmas.

I also got all the laundry done today except for Chuck's towels for his basement bathroom. I'll do those in the morning. I have gotten all the laundry done every week-end for the last 3 or 4 months. That is also big for me. I would get it all washed but it would lay unfolded on the couch for weeks sometimes.

I have really enjoyed all the pictures everyone is posting! :goodvibes

Here's a picture of me wearing some Mickey ears on my first trip to MK in 1982 (I was 10):

oldwdw7fordis.jpg

Can you believe I went to MK in 1982, Epcot in 1983, and MK in 1986 and I never saw a character?!! Must be why I'm so crazy about them now! :teeth:

Kate is not going there - if I were pregnant it would be my BIGGEST fear to have a baby that day - since it is not the year you were born - not a big deal - but definately would NOT want my baby born that day!!

AND for the record - I would have loved to have a baby on 5/5/5 or 4/4/4 or 3/3/3 etc - just not in the cards!!!

Ironically - Julia was born on the anniversary of our first date (okay it wasn't really b/c he had a girlfirend (LONG STORY) but it was the day we both KNEW and we always hold that day special in our hearts!!!)
