Have you considered being a school RN? My mom took this route a few years back when she realized that being full time at the hospital left no family time. She loves the kiddo's she works with , gets weekends and summer off, doesn't have to bring work home to grade and she isn't letting here degree go to waste.

Now that's a terrific idea! I bet you'd be great! If you're interested, you should check it out. I know in our district, they really need more nurses. We have one that spreads herself out over 8 schools.

I'm back!!! I know I haven't been around for a couple of weeks. I was getting ready for our Spring Break Cruise. We had a great time and the boys loved it. The weather was great and just a little sunburn on the top of the shoulders. I have everyone on here and hope everyone is well. Has anyone heard from Denise about any storm damage from the weekend storms in Atlanta?? We didn't have any in Gwinnett County but I did hear that Denise's area had some was thinking about them when I saw the news report at the airport on Saturday.

If I missed anything big please fill me in!!!

Welcome back! Glad to hear your cruise was so fun! Denise is ok, she said that her house didn't get any damage. That's good, right? I just really think that all DDA'ers should move to Utah where we don't have any tornadoes, hurricanes, etc. That way, I wouldn't have to worry about you all so much!

I don't think you missed anything big. I caused a big stir by going away without telling anyone, and got in big trouble from the Queen and Tammi and others. It led to Kate starting a contact sheet so we can keep tabs on one another.

Post some pics of your cruise when you get a spare minute. That's something I've always wanted to try. DH might just go for that one. He loves anything to do with water.

I did a little digging and I sent Midnite a message via DisMates and her work email - I also have a phone number that I can try in a few days if I don't hear back from her

but I do have some bad news -

it appears that Midnite has been banned from the DIS -

when you click on her name the option for send a private message does not appear - this is usually a surefire sign that someone has been banned -

I will let you all know what I find out!

Kate, you can disable the Private Message function under account options. Midnite removed her posts herself (not a moderator), so maybe she just needed a break and took them off, disabled PM, and isn't banned. Let's hope that's the case!

oh dear!! There seems to be quite a bit of unrest on the rest of the DIS boards.....so glad it's not affecting our little world!

Hi, Lynn. Glad to hear the cruise was a success. We didn't have any damage, but stayed in the basement for a while. The big damage in Alpharetta was further west of us near Crabapple on the other side of 400. Julia is fine too and didn't have any damage.

Now I think that I have a twin! Though you are probably young enough to actually be my daughter. That is my problem in a nutshell. If I can't do it "right," I just don't do it. Believe me, around here every little bit would help. I need to get out of that mindset!

I'm 23. But my problem more reccently is I spend so much time at work and cleaning no less that I don't want to do it on my time off. I have to do laundry, mop, clean counters, etc at the group home so I don't feel like coming home and doing it.

Plus I have so much GS stuff stored here, since our meeting location has no storage space. Once I get rid of that there will be less to make clutter with.

Hi all!!

You were a chatty-chatty bunch this weekend!

I skimmed through but if someone wants to give me the readers digest version of the major events so I am really caught up that would be great!

Kyle's big boy bed came on Saturday and the crib promptly came down. He did great! He was so excited to sleep in it- so excited that it took almost 2 hours on Saturday to get him to settle down and sleep! Now if we can just get him back on the potty he is on some sort of self- imposed ban for a few weeks now. I was pretty stressed but now I don't even mention it to him in the hopes that he'll regain interest on his own soon...

Re: Midnite- I sent her a PM about a week ago about a design and never heard back. That surprised me because her and I have been chatting a little about design over the past few weeks. I hope she is OK!!!!!

Re: my designs. Thanks for the continued kind words. I am more than willing to share with my DDA family so please just PM your requests.

You could also ask your twin to go pick you one up from BAB and send it to you!! My girls would love an excuse to go into BAB if you want your tent earlier.

I was going to say I will probably be going to BAB with my Brownie troop. THE closest BAB to hear is about an hour away. The only BAB I was ever at was in Nashville, TN

We have a Planet Teddy at out local mall but the girls want to go to Build A Bear. The only way we can go to BAB is if I can get some parents to drive. Not sure how many will want to drive 1 hour each for an activity that will last about an hour. Last year we went to Hersheypark, which is about the same distance in a different direction, but that was for an all day event.

They also want to do a pool party. I don't think most of them can swim, so I'm not sure how the parents will feel about that. I don't have a problem with it as I can swim and have basically taken the lifeguard class in the past couldn't get certified as a lifeguard since I was not old enough at the time. I think it would be great to expose nonswimmers to water safety. We would have lifeguards and watchers but I just don't know. I guess if the parents have a problem with it there daughter just won't go.

I was thinking she might be banned as well. But I am not sure if that is the case. Hopefully she just wanted some time away.

Too funny Denise.

I've been sorting through pictures from when I was younger so I can scan and post them later. I am suprised how much Disney stuff is in the pictures, either t-shirts, stuffed animals, Birthday cakes, figurines, etc. Some of these things are from when I was quite young before I went to WDW for the first time.

I am really sorry to interrupt here, but I am seeking MidNite. I saved a lot of her designs, but failed to save her Cruising design thinking I could always find her and her site and download it from there, but then as I got close to being ready to do my pieces I went to find her site and it's been removed. I don't know the background of anything that happened here on this board as I lurk only here, but I really want to reach her and ask ever so nicely to be able to use her Cruising design. I was so hooked on it and loved it so much I have no idea why I didn't save it.

Can you all, or MidNite herself, help me???
