Wanted to show you all something...I was going to post this on the "Now & Then" thread on the Theme Park board but thought you guys who don't venture to other boards might like to see.

This is my oldest dd when she was 2 (her first visit at WDW) March 1998

And this is her from our last trip in October 2005...wow time flies...she's 10 now:sad: Her shirt says 2003 but that was from the trip before.

Ok here's my DS on his very first trip to Disney meeting Belle. He was 6 months old. Dec 1999

Here he is Oct 2005..he is 6.

Here is my youngest DD who was very leary of the characters on her first visit back in 2002..she was 2 then. She used to grab her fork in defense when she saw the characters coming!! I didn't have any of her alone as she wouldn't go near the characters alone.

Now she loves to have her picture taken at Disney.

Were you an Alpha Chi? We did that too!

No -- a Gamma Phi. SMU didn't have Alpha Chi when I was there, but they do now.

I loved doing this to find my big sister, but admit that I went a little overboard on string when I did this for my little sister. I put too much out and got bored waiting on her to find me...

OMG! I'm a Gamma Phi Beta too.

In IIKE!

Hi, all. Augmentin is working! Yea! Boy, I posted my concerns on Dec vs Sept. Talk about a 50/50 split. For every Sept post there is a Dec post. It's pretty funny actually. I emailed my triplet club here and asked as well. They all said go and forget the schools. We've got both booked. I think when I go next week for Rees' testing for his IEP, I will ask the therapists and evaluator what their opinion is and let them know what we're thinking. If they say go in Sept, then I'll feel better about it (they work for the school where the kids will go).

Hope everyone has a good day. I'm off to iron, change beds, and give the kids a bath. Supposed to be bad weather with heavy storms later today.

Good morning....

I am drowning in college paperwork for my son...it is sooo tedious & boring!!

Poor Kristine! What are you working on now?? Is your FAFSA done?

marti wants red shirt for one day

sounds fine with me...do we pick whichever square design we like? or all the same?

If I can get checked in with only my voucher, I will meet up with you. If not, I need to activate it and then go back and check in.

I don't want to wait until later to get checked in, because if there is a problem or something it will be harder to get it fixed .

Tammi -- did you get an AP rate on your room in May? We have never had a problem checking in with a voucher. In fact, the ONLY time I was ever asked to see my AP was when I had a voucher. All the other times we have had AP discounts they have never asked. I usually ask them if they would like to see my AP ;)

FASA is done..thank the lord...

I am trying to review the financial packages offered...and weighing the pros and cons of each place. Plus trying to figure out the logistics of moving all his stufff 1/2 way around the US

Were you surprised by how much the Federal Government thinks you can afford to pay for education?!? :scared1:

A suggestion... take no more than half what you think he will need. Better yet, take a quarter with you and buy what you discover is missing after you get there :thumbsup2

AND - when you are applying for financial aid do they take into account that you HAVE to go to WDW at least twice a year?!?!!?

that money should definately not go into the amount of expendable income you have!!!

You know... we looked and looked a that form for the entry about WDW expenses. Never found it there or on the Itemized Deducitons on the 1040 :rotfl:

They get NO days at all for family vacations, etc. I'm just afraid he may have just gotten into the groove of things (it takes him a while) and then I take him out for a week (albeit it would be so fun!. We would go during the 8th full week of school. Then he has to totally regroup and try to get back on track, and it might take him a couple of weeks to get back into the groove. The more I think about it, the more it worries me. And I'm afraid of what the school will think of me taking them out 7 weeks after they start Kindergarten, when I have a child with "issues". And, my kids, especially Rees, get sick a lot, so they may miss a ton of school for legitimate health reasons, so I don't know if I want to take a chance and add to it. I won't know his teacher until school starts Aug 7. So, what's a mom to do?

I've bought the airplane tickets, but I do have trip insurance so I could cancel and just be out my trip insurance amount. I'm hoping AirTran will have a special for December, but it is more expensive now and we're not taking a chance on Delta. We could drive since it'd be over the Christmas break.

So with this new info, WWYD? Is it ok if I'm having a pity party and mad that my child has to be "special" where things are ALWAYS going to be that much harder for him? And I know that several of you face the same issues with your children. Ok, pity party over. Back to normal.
:grouphug: It's perfectly OK every once in a while to just feel sorry for yourself. I truly wish I could help and my heart goes out to you. I am still struggling with Zachary's initial diagnosis. And have had plenty self pity moments. I think waiting until you feel better and have had a good night's sleep might help you make a decision. :wizard: to those sick kiddos.

Hugs to you too. I didn't realize you were going through anything with Zachary. It can be so hard as a parent. PM me if you need to talk. That's why the DDA is so great. We're all here to support each other through thick and thin.

I'm just dropping in quickly to catch up while the kids are sleeping. I don't want to get too far behind. Lots of talk of the upcoming May trip. It looks like I'll be going out here on May 19. One of the girls that I work with turns 21 that day and she has been planning her celebration for months. When I asked last night what date that was she said what do you mean, It's the 19th and you will be there. She is so funny. This is so huge for her. She even has talked one of the waitresses that is pregnant into driving her around for the night so that she has a designated driver :rotfl2: .
