Glad to hear you got the financing -- remember the next couple of months will be stressful, do your best to take it easy!

That's for sure. We moved into our current house when I was just 3 months away from the arrival of the twins. It was so exhausting! Take lots of breaks for naps (and Chick-fil-A). Don't try to do too much, either. Let people come in and help you pack up! I'm sure you could find a few kind Cincinntians who would love to help you.

All done! I'm really going to miss my counter!

Amy :)

Does this mean that the new house doesn't have the counter space? I smell a remodeling project in the works. :teeth:

Paul is NEVER down - and he's been in bed all day. Here's the bad news: Matthew "debuts" as one of the three little pigs in his school play tonight. When I told him daddy was sick - he had this look of horror on his face. His eyes welled up with tears and he said "Daddy isn't going to be there?!" and I told him it would take a lot more than a little cold to stop your daddy from being at your school play. So the big lug is in the shower now....

what we do for love!

I hope Matt's play went well and Paul is back in bed! :goodvibes

Tammi and anyone else talking trips

How exciting!!!!! I think I'll have to keep living vicariously :( It looks as if I will have to cancel our September trip (already) because if I DO end up getting an offer for the unit at Children's, the organization as a whole offered me a position in the RN residency program which is an amazing opportunity. Sort of backwards since I don't even have a job offer, but it sounds like an incredible program, so I'd be stupid to say no :( Oh well.... in the long run, it equals more Disney money :teeth:

Now for the unit to get their butts in gear....

Sounds like the interview went well! That's great!
:cheer2:

Now we just keep our fingers crossed that there's a job offer in the future, right? Or did the craziness turn you off on working there?

Yes, you did! Break a leg, Matt. BTW, here's my 3 Little Pigs when they were just over one year old. They HATED the hoods, but they were so cute!

We're wearing Kristin's shirts for our trip. Me-Daisy, BK-Minnie, John- Goofy, Rees- Donald, Davis-Mickey. I think they'll look great together!

The shirts will look great! And your three are adorable piggies! :goodvibes

Congratulations on the Interview, it definitely sounds like it was a success!!!

Now in layman's terms what does this mean exactly????

Hello! Exhaustion is finally catching up with me, because this morning I woke up with dizziness and morning sickness! :sad2: I thought I was way past that. I started to feel better as the day went on, but I've had a perpetual headache that won't go away no matter how many Tylenol I take. Hopefully this is a one day thing!

Amy :)

I hope you're feeling better! :wizard:

We all probably wished that but those are times in your life you will never forget or want too as they are special!!! :goodvibes

Yeah, I'm praying that I'll feel that way someday! :confused3 I like the end result, but that's about it!

Okay everybody I remember seeing a while back some suggestions for kids mixing up lower case b's and d's. Carli is having a really hard time w/ this and getting really frustrated!!! Could you guys give me some help w/ little tricks for helping her remember which is which??? Thanks!!!

I do have a clear runny nose, so it could very well be allergies. Bleh!

We opened some of Alyssa's new toys, but not the "big" things (like her new kitchen set) since it seems silly to unpack it all, only to have to pack it all up in a couple months. She's loving all her new stuff, that's for sure! :goodvibes

The one young married couple (friend of the family) hasn't contacted us, so that's discouraging. However, another woman I used to work with has expressed interest! I'm trying not to get my hopes up, but this house would be perfect for her and her 4th grade daughter. They're coming over for dinner on Saturday! Our financing did get approved to buy the new house yesterday! :cheer2:

Amy :)

Congratulations on the financing! That's very exciting :)

Yes, that is fondant that some people roll out on cakes for smoothness, but I actually buy it in a powdered form and turn it into a runny paste with hot water. It pretty much looks like powdered sugar. It can be a pain though, because if you don't get the right consistency, it either takes forever to set or it sets too fast.

I buy it from here, but I don't have to buy it online because the store is only about 25 minutes away:

DD was the perfect pregnancy, she arrived on her due date, just 'popped' out, no medication or anything else and I was home within 24hours!!! Someone was watching over me that day!!!! Hopefully everyone has an experience like this!!! :goodvibes

It sounds like a very successful interview! Congratulations. Keep us posted on the job offer when it comes! :cheer2:

Ok, so here's how the interview went. Thanks, by the way, for all of the good luck wishes! Yes Glynis, now we just wait for an offer! :thumbsup2

So I arrive at our deisgnated meeting place, at 12:35. I'm supposed to be picked up at 12:50, so I sit and wait.

And wait, and wait, and wait. The same lady that screwed with my schedule earlier is supposed to pick me up, and she is apparently going to be a no-show. I'm a bit flustered at this point, because I'm supposed to be at my first interview 10 minutes earlier, and I'm not sure that the lady will volunteer that I was NOT late, she was. :confused3

So eventually I just have the welcome lady call up to the unit and tell them I am just making my own way up. When I get there, the educator says that the secretary lady "just remembered" and went down to get me. Oh, well, that's her loss :rotfl: At least this lady I'm interviewing with knows it wasn't my fault!

So my first interview is with the Educator and 3 staff nurses. It went well, then I went to fill out paperwork with the nurse recruiter and then on to my other 2 interviews. By the last one, the Director of the Neurosurgery/Neuroscience units says she's "heard good things" about me, and this interview goes pretty well too.

SO...... I can't complain about the actual interviews, but I'm trying not to get too excited (yet). It seems that with how freakin' messed up everything has been up to this point, something could go wrong with the background check, references, or anything else along the way. The good part is I should hear within the week!
