Thanks for asking. Last night was the first night he slept through the night. Now BK and I both have it. It feels like it's turning into bronchitis (and Rees has a barky cough) so I'm probably off to the doctor with everyone tomorrow. We just went to the library and checked out 45 books. Did I mention my kids LOVE for me to read to them? Then we got Wendy's for lunch. DH is working late, so I may take them out to dinner and to get ice cream tonight. If they feel better by the end of the week, I may try to go to the new GA Aquarium or to the Zoo.

Feel better! The lurgy has struck at my house, too, though only dd has been hit, and she isn't too bad.

Glynis, Nice to see you back and I hope your bottom is ok after the chewing you must have gotten from the Queen.

Kritine- Did you get any of the tie dying on tape? I bet it was rather funny, and does the dog feel left out?

One of DH co-workers is at DL right now and he called in to check on the C-5 plane crash. Well DH says to me “I miss DL, I spoke with Jewel (co-workers last name) and all I could hear was the fun everyone was having in the background. I miss DL”.

So do you think I could get him to pick a time to go? I sure am going to try. (tee hee):thumbsup2

As you can tell I have no desire to clean right now. I have did lots of little things yesterday and this morning talking with my mother about her trip. She had a great time and wants to go back in a few years.

I am off to get Ellie at school. Mmmm… I think I might not work much this afternoon either.

That is awesome! I love it! You should design more often. Forget the job and the schoolwork! Just spend your time designing for your DDA friends!

Congratulations on the 2000.

Oh I wish that I could! With a bit of time I might be able to master some of the amazing stuff our Queen keeps pulling out of the hat!

Cinderumbrella, Love your new designs. I am slowly learning how to use PSE, but time isn’t my friend and I will have to put it on the back burner until DH goes to his other class at the end of the month.

 Hi All! Been trying to keep up but not much time to post as we are all in the house of lurgy. Kids seem better but not really themselves so they may still have some little bug hanging on or just spring fever. DH & I now have a cold and he has his first ever sinus headache.

Eeyorecln-I guess I'm the only one who like H&V. We had a great server. I've never been to MM. I'm trying BD with DD this May. I figure it makes sense to try it when I'm paying for just the 2 of us vs a big family trip with a party of 6.

So...I did get my taxes completed and printed out. I just want to review them once more. DH is happy and suggested I start a DVC fund with the refund and my bonus from work. That will put a very nice deposit down. I'm off to go review more details... :cool1:
:wizard: That your family gets to feeling better. I wanted to try BD but DH didn't think it would be a good idea with the kids. He's probably right. We ended up picking MM. How fun to start a DVC fund, we usually end up owing taxes due to the way DH's partner set up the company. :guilty:

Kate The signature designs are amazing. Maybe show Nick some pictures of DL to get him excited about that trip. The boys loved getting to ride a Gold Dumbo and we got the gold teacup twice. I think they're extending the 50th through the end of the year.

Well, DH said I could book a free dining trip if I can get it. We have to stay at POR as I think it's the only hotel (aside from deluxes) that will fit 5 and a baby. So PD that we can get POR Sept 30-Oct.8. So now trying to figure out ADR's.

Another thing we do to get our kids excited about DL is to show them the Sing along Songs video of Disneyland. It really helps my preschoolers. It's songs they know, and shows wonderful clips of the rides and the park atmosphere. I highly recommend it!

Wow! When you actually list it out like that, there is a lot left to see & do. See my comments in bold above.

There is so much to see!!!! Chuck is home for lunch and we are discussing DVC. I've looked up some things for him that he had questions about. I have a HiltonHonors card because I travel for work so much. It gives me HH points plus American Airlines miles. Between the two, it looks like I may have two free airline tickets.

We just refinanced our home equity loan and the line was upped because of all the improvements we have made on the house - we currently have $20000 line of credit open on it. It is at 7% interest which is better than the 9.75% for Disney financing.

He wasn't interested in doing it this year but knows it is important to me so is willing to keep looking at it. My next step is putting our yearly budget together. I've already showed him what it will cost us (and where we'll see savings if we purchase). Now I have to show him we have money in our budget for at least two trips a year.

He is such a great husband! Of course, I don't ask for much. I've never been one for fancy things and we've never really taken vacations until we started doing Disney. I didn't get a honeymoon (and next year is our 25th) so I may play that card if I have to. I really want to do something special for that and with DVC we can stay at Mackinac Island at the Grand Hotel which is something else I'd love to do!!!!

I'm keeping my fingers crossed plus making sure I have all the numbers together. We only have one trip left with Becky. She graduates next year and I've told her that this will be the last trip for her for awhile. Katrina doesn't want to go next year (she'd rather hang with her friends over spring break). That is more savings that I've shown Chuck.

Wow it sounds like it's all coming together for you and DVC! I wish we lived nearer as I think DH would really consider it... in fact he's currently looking at houses in kissimmee on the internet :rotfl: (He started out looking at how much our neighbour's house had just been listed for, £20k more than our last valuation and we've had a ton of work and a loft conversion done!)

I found out from the Disney site earlier that TL is shut this November, so I get to take him to Blizzard Beach for the first time, of course we're both gutted that we don't get to ride Crush n Gusher... so I said, shall I plan a trip for 2007... he said No.

So I said what about 2008... and he just smiled... :woohoo: 2008 here we come :thumbsup2 :rotfl2:

Could you please pray for our neighbor Mr Wilson? :sad2:

I noticed I hadn't seen him the yard the last couple days. After school on Mondays Erich always brings the Wilson's garbage can back up to their house from the road.He came running home saying Mr Wilson fell and hurt his head,he's in the hospital and paralyzed on one side. :guilty: So Joe and I went over to see what was wrong. Apparently late Fri. afternoon he fell outside, maybe off a ladder, his wife isn't sure.Joe had been with him about 2:30 pm Fri. afternoon helping him get a tire off his boat trailer.Mrs Wilson got him in the house ,he said he felt nauseous and went to go up stairs to the bathroom were he fell again and hit his head VERY hard on the corner of the wall.. Their daughter took him to the ER where the did a cat scan and immediately got him to surgery as he had a terrible brain bleed. He's unconscious and they believe his paralyzed on his left side.

I am stunned.

He's only 71,such a character. When Erich was 2-5 years old he followed Mr. Wilson all over the place,we use to call Erich, Dennis the Menace.Mr. Wilson is shaped like Dennis's Mr. Wilson ,always has a plaid shirt on but he has a full head of white hair and a smile on his face and always a joke or a wise crack when you see him.

We've been neighbors for 14 years. He has been the BEST neighbor. Please send your prayers and good thoughts that he recovers.

Thank you.

Prayers are being said now.

Tues, AK, B'fast at Donalds, Dinner WCC
Wed, MK, B'fast at CP, late lunch at CRT
Thures, MGM, B'fast at 'ohana
Fri, MNSSHP and dinner at LTT
