Thank you. I hope we have time to try this this year.

Approx. how many will this recipe make?

Tammi,

It really depends on how big you make them. There isn't a total on the recipe we have. My grandmother made them so big you couldn't eat a whole egg at one time. Now we just try shape them to the size of say a regular large egg. They are still big but not gigantic! When we made them over the weekend we used 36lbs of powdered sugar and got a little over 300 eggs. HTH

AAAAAAAAAGH! So this is driving me NUTS. This interview has changed times about every other day for 2 weeks, ok?

THIS MORNING -- they call me and say they can't do the first portion of it until tomorrow, so then they juggle a bunch of stuff and rearrange the other two for different times today. (Insert Jennifer pulling her hair out here).

3 and a half minutes later.... they call back again and say (I kid you not), "Don't think we're crazy here, because we are. But ____ can do it at 1:00 afterall".

So BACK everything goes. For now anyway. :rolleyes2

EEk! Phone rang again as I was typing this, I swear. But it's nothing, just a change in who is meeting with me. Like I care, seriously.

Anyone think I should apply somewhere else instead?!?!? They're making me nuts, and I do'nt even work there! :rotfl:

You'll do great!!!! Here's some pixiedust from Tink herself to help you have a magical day. :tink:

We did MNSSHP last year. We had a 5:15 adr at LTT..by the time we finished it was about 10 to 7 & we didn't have to go to tomorrowland. Just walked right out & the party started. It was lots of fun. LTT was great.

I love your Easter Mickey/Minnie gif. It is adorable.

Ok, thanks. I was trying to figure out how many this recipe would yield, as I didn't want to end up with 300!! But now that you have put it in perspective, 36lbs = 300 eggs, I don't think I need to worry about that.

I just spent about a half hour on the phone with a very nice CM, Karen, from DVC member services. She was very helpful in explaining everything to me. My head was reeling trying to understand all these rules....holding, waitlisting, etc etc. Anyway I cancelled my ressie at SSR in October and booked a 1 br at BWV!!!! :Pinkbounc I am not thrilled about doubling the amt of points I will use, so I am doing a day by day waitlist for the studio. I have the 20th, so I still need the 18th, 19th and 21st. Please keep your fingers crossed for me.

Also, I purchased my AP for our May trip!

Congrats on buying your AP and fingers and toes crossed for the studio! :shamrock: pixiedust: :shamrock: pixiedust:

Jennifer -- here's hoping your interview is going well! :sunny: :sunny: :sunny: :sunny: :sunny:

WOOHOO! Well, if we don't get moved over to BCV (on waitlist for that) we will both be at BWV that trip. Surely we will have to meet one another then!

Good Luck with your interview Jennifer. :Pinkbounc
Denise Have a fun spring break. Is Rees feeling better? The boys were sick lst week so we didn't get to do much for springbreak. But, we'll be doing a lot over Easter as it's a 4 day week-end with Good Friday and Easter Monday off. :goodvibes

Well, we called this morning and got into POR. Sept. 30-Oct. 8. Now to make the dining reservations. And buy our MNSSHP tickets when they sell.

Tammi I hope that they free up some dates for MNSSHP when you guys are there. :wizard: Extra :wizard: that you can get the studio the dates you want.

 Hi All! Been trying to keep up but not much time to post as we are all in the house of lurgy. Kids seem better but not really themselves so they may still have some little bug hanging on or just spring fever. DH & I now have a cold and he has his first ever sinus headache.

Jo-congrats on the yardsale!

Tammi-love your "little stinker" So cute!!! I'm sure Disney will be having MNSSHP on those Thu/Fri nights. We went on Thu 10/20 last year. Congrats on BWV!!! How nice for Food & Wine fest! Here's :wizard: that you get the studio.

Baloo-Mr. Wilson is in my prayers.

Tia-you are in my prayers as well. Hope you find something that works for you. I too would think a move close to family would be nice.

Kristin-love your new designs.

Eeyorecln-I guess I'm the only one who like H&V. We had a great server. I've never been to MM. I'm trying BD with DD this May. I figure it makes sense to try it when I'm paying for just the 2 of us vs a big family trip with a party of 6.

Denise-thanks for the idea about breakfast at 1900 Park Fare to purchase the CD. I may just do that. I think your time is perfect for MNSSHP. In 2004 we ate a bit too late at 5:30 by the time we got seated it was even later and by the time we got finished and changed into costumes it was past 7 and folks were lining up for the parade. The one good thing was that CP isn't open for the party so we were one of the last families there and we got photos of the kids with all the characters at once. Last year the kids just wore matching pirate T's and hats pirate: so we didn't have to change and we had a 4:50 seating. MK closes at 6:00 but the party didn't start til 7:00. They had all the party goers in Adventure Land and were able to take some great photos by a billboard of the HM Ghosts and HM CM before the party started.

I really love any meal at CP. Lunch doesn't have the shrimp cocktail that is there at dinner. I would say breakfast is my favorite. They have an omlet station that will make eggs any style. My kids prefer fried eggs to scrambled so I really appreciate that. I like making an early ADR so we can walk up a nearly empty Main St. They even had Photo Pass photographers out for folks with early ADRs.

Amy-LOVED your photopass photos. Thanks for sharing. I really loved the ones of you both kissing Alyssa and the ones of her with Stitch. Thanks for sharing what happened with Eeyore. I was wondering what happened. I saw that she soon happy again. Happy to hear that she forgave Tigger as he's a favorite in our house too. I also really liked the night time shots. I will have to keep that in mind-I usually get entrance photos only in the morning. And you looked great!! I should post a photo of me at Disney 26 weeks pregnant with Emma. I was HUGE.

Ellen-did you book a trip? I had heard that ASMo didn't have AP discounts on this last round so I was wondering if you were able to get free dining there. I stayed there for the first time with my DS(4), a friend, her DH, and her DS(15). We had adjoining rooms in the Love Bug section. At first I was disappointed as we had asked for Toy Story or Dalmations but we ended up loving our location. We were very close to the elevator on the 3rd floor on the quiet side of the building. I think it was the quietest room I've ever had at Disney. And the walk to the food court wasn't too bad. We enjoyed everything we had at the food court (mostly breakfast) and while there were often huge lines late at night they were actually very efficient. We really enjoyed the icecream but that station was the slowest but worth the wait. I'm anxious to try Pop in May.

So...I did get my taxes completed and printed out. I just want to review them once more. DH is happy and suggested I start a DVC fund with the refund and my bonus from work. That will put a very nice deposit down. I'm off to go review more details... :cool1:

Tammi... according to a post I read on another site, Disney has officially scheduled MNSSHP for October 12, 19 and 20. I am trying to confirm this but thought you might like to know.

ETA: Deb's site also has the 19th and 20th listed now. So, let's hope they are both right!

So...that would be about 1 1/2 dozen per batch.

Celebrating post number...

:woohoo: I can do animations too :goodvibes

Vicki-you mentioned a few days ago about wanted to do DVC because there were still things you haven't done at WDW. Well, I'm about to take my 13th & 14th trips and my list of things that I haven't done is HUGE:

I haven't done any of the shows-Hoop de do, La Nuba, Polynesian thing (can't spell it).

I've never taken a behind the scenes tour and lots sound great.

I've never gone to Disney Quest or either water park.

I've never done any other non Disney park in Orlando.

I've gots lots of places I've never eaten and even the ones I've eaten at have things I haven't tried.

I've never had a Dole Whip (but have had pineapple and vanilla twist soft serve), never had a made to order icecream sandwhich at Main St Bakery.

Never had any exotic drink. :drinking1

Lots of resorts I want to visit.

Lizzy wants to try mini golf.

The kids have never been on the Epcot Energy ride, Honey I shrunk the audience, Bugs Life, Rafiki's Planet Watch, Indian Jones, Great Movie Ride, WWTBAM, .....

I've never been on EE or Space Mnt.

I've never riden BTM at night.

I've never rented a bike, boat or mouseboat or gone horse back riding.

I can't wait to go in May for the first time and see the Flower Fest but I've never been for New Years, Valentine's Day, Mother's Day, Father's Day, 4th of July, Halloween, Thanksgiving, or Christmas. :teeth:

I just can't imagine I could ever say that I've seen it all.

Thanks for asking. Last night was the first night he slept through the night. Now BK and I both have it. It feels like it's turning into bronchitis (and Rees has a barky cough) so I'm probably off to the doctor with everyone tomorrow. We just went to the library and checked out 45 books. Did I mention my kids LOVE for me to read to them? Then we got Wendy's for lunch. DH is working late, so I may take them out to dinner and to get ice cream tonight. If they feel better by the end of the week, I may try to go to the new GA Aquarium or to the Zoo.

I'm probably late anserwing this but you will see Goofy, Pluto, Minnie, Chip & Dale & the waitresess(sp)are dressed up as well. The food is really good, it is served family style. You start off with a salad with a delicious strawberry vinegar dressing & yummy rolls(I could not stop eating these lol). They then serve you a platter with turkey, ham, & beef along with mashed potatos, gravy, green beans & mac & cheese. Seems like there is something else, dressing maybe? For dessert they gave the boys dirt(chocolate pudding with cookie crumbs & gummy worms) & I was given cherry cobbler with vanilla ice cream, yum! Ok I am making myself hungry lol I love eating at CP, but for the Halloween party this place sets the mood.

Welcome back Glynis! We missed you! Too bad about your BIL, but I'm glad your recovery was better. Post a new picture soon!

I so totally need to do that! While I was at my mom's house, I saw some before pictures and for the first time, I was able to see the difference between then and now. I feel so exhilerated! I'm going to have DH take some pictures of me on Thursday (he doesn't have to go to work). Mom bought me some new clothes while I was with her. She said she was tired of looking at me in baggy clothes, and was afraid they were going to fall right off me.

I also want to post pictures of the stuff I did for the twins birthday party. It won't come anywhere near Amy's stuff (still waiting for pictures, here), but I was pretty proud of it! I'll try to get to that today or tomorrow. Gotta work on my final projects for school, too. I'm so glad that finals are May 1st. Then I'll be done until September. I really need the break, and my house needs me back full time, too.
