I'd like to try to make one..I need the EASY version of how to do this.
You could always do the spray paint one. They're cute and I think pretty easy.

I need you guys to help me to stop second guessing my December trip...this free dining offer has made me CRAZY

I keep thinking I can go both times...Bill is :faint: :faint:

SIGH!!
I'm going to agree with Tinkaroo and say go in December (you've never been then, right?). It's so beautifully decorated and the weather is so nice! I think MNSSHP is more fun than MVMCP, but overall just being there during the Christmas season is special. We had lots of fun resort hopping to see all of the decorations. When we were there in Dec. '04 the holiday Illuminations was spectacular! A more regular December visitor might be able to tell you if they do that every year, but it's a don't miss!

Even though Brian is pretty much on board with a fall trip, I don't think we'll do it. We'll have a newborn and I don't think I want to take it to WDW that young, and I'm definitely not leaving it behind. We have a February trip planned for Christopher's birthday and even though the fall will probably end up a lot cheaper, we're pretty sure we're sticking with Februrary. Christopher won't miss any school and the cool weather is worth the extra money!

I wouldn't mind helping to sew something, but I'm terrible at coming up with ideas. I used to make halloween costumes for my kids when they were little, from patterns though, not from my imagination...

Let me know if you want me to help out, I don't have any little ones to sew for anymore, so I actually would enjoy it.

Ellen

Those are so cute Ellen! Could you teach me how to use my brand new sewing machine?? I pestered Paul about it forever, then got one for my birthday (last year! ) and I'm afraid to take it out of the box! Help!!

Just say when.. I actually haven't done much sewing in ages. My boys are now 17 and 20, so those were from quite a few years back. I never did much in the way of real clothes, mostly costumes and a few curtains/blinds. I'm not sure how you go about teaching someone, but I would be willing to try.

Thanks for the compliments.

We have gone to WDW for 10 Christmases now and have always stayed a week or more. Last year Bob and the girls (especially the girls) indicated that they would like to go to WDW but for less nights. I am OK with this as I am aware that somewhere out there we can find other places to spend time and money on Christmas vacations.

(I know that this is blasphemy and I hesitate to say it too loudly)

That being said... we have pretty much decided to drive from Virginia this trip and when we leave WDW we will go to Savannah, GA or Charleston, SC. We have never been to either place and have all expressed interest in both those cities in the past.

Do any of my DDA friends have any thoughts on either of these two beautiful localities for 3-4 days in late December? Who am I kidding... of COURSE you will have opinions! :rotfl:
How much time do you have? We did Savannah and Charleston in the same trip (just a few days), but I'm having trouble remembering all that we did. I know we took a carriage ride in Charleston to see many of the beautiful homes. That might be really nice at Christmas time. We also took a short (like 1 hour) cruise in the bay (I think). I don't remember much about Savannah  . We were staying in Beaufort and drove both places from there.

Oh, I meant to add that I would accept a home made Dole Whip in payment :rotfl: :rotfl: .

Yes, Sept it is! Got AirTran for $79 each way direct flight and I had a $100 coupon for AirTran, so total was $785 for 5 people.

Great deal, now you can start designing your shirts, buy your crocs and then design some to match them!!!
That was such a quick change of plans are you still catching your breath???? :goodvibes :thumbsup2

It did occur to me that we could probably do both... we have 4-5 days to play with on the drive back to Virginia. We would really like to stay downtown in the historic areas if at all possible too. So, I will keep searching and include info on the carriage rides in Charelston! Thanks :thumbsup2

Yep - the only place that carries it is Walmart. We liked it so much that Paul is out now buying some more. The way to enjoy the float is to let the sherbet melt a bit - it becomes like a "slushy". It was really good!!!

I like it too and it is fat free (NOT like the one I made with 3 cups of cream :rolleyes1 ) I saw today publix also has a pineapple sorbet so will try that, I'm the only one eating it so it lasts longer here.
I love the publix mango, peach and passion fruit sorbet.

I took DS at 3 weeks, it was his first trip, DD then 3 loved it and got special time with dad on the rides.

And don't forget 3 cups of sugar... not that it adds fat, but it certainly doens't add nutritional value either! But YUM! :teeth:

Am I the last one on the planet to know about podcasts? I just found a whole bunch of Disney ones. :cool1:

I keep bugging dh about going to WDW during this deal. But, honeeeeeeeyyy, it's only $3500 (said in my best whiney voice). pirate: Of course, I need to plant that money tree in the back yard first. hehehe
