I didn't realize Nick was definitely the last - I thought I had seen a post where Kate said she'd like another one. One more argument for ging now.

Kate - how about for Labor Day weekend for all of you, and a couple of extra days for you and the kids?

Although we always agreed we would NEVER go in August - too hot and crowded -

how would it be around August 21

and then the whole dilemma would be if we would pay for Nick or not - I guess I would and just not use his ticket - and save it for another trip - since his dining would be free - it would be silly not to add him on!!

We're trying August for the first time this year, because we can't take the older kids out of school any more and because August 21st is dd's 13th birthday.

I'm a little worried that this free dining is going to up the crowds even more, but at least we'll be in Disney World!

I am bored sitting here at work...fantasizing about a fall wdw trip...no matter how many times I figure the numbers..it is still at $3000!....

And I will have to say the are SO comfortable - I hate the bumps on the bottom of the real crocs but these are just like walking on a cushion with no bumps!!! I love them - they were a little tight on my toes - I popped them in the dryer for a couple of minutes put them on my feet hot and now they are fine - there was plenty of room but the strap was pushing my foot forward so this stretched the strap a little!!

Sorry - busy weekend around here and I had a lot of pages to go through this morning.

Nicholas had his first soccer game of the season this morning. They lost 2-1. But....Nicholas played goalie for awhile and I am proud to say that he didn't let them score! (which I was worried about because that is not his strongest position).

Congratulations to those of you that have booked unexpected trips due to the offer. Good luck for those of you trying to "charm" your DHs. Did anyone succeed after last night? Let the planning begin!

Denise - you are in quite a quandry....my worries for you are the heat (how will the kids do with that) and how will Rees do with Halloween? Do you think it will frighten him? I'm sure that Disney does it very tame though. I am just thinking of the people that go to the park dressed up. Do you think your kids will be able to keep quiet about the trip when they are in school? What would happen if they go back to school talking all about their trip and you sent a note excusing them because of the flu? I don't mean to be a downer but I don't want to see you get in a bad position either. Whatever you decide I am behind you 100% and wish the best for you. Good luck.

Happy Anniversary Denise!

Don't know what I should do about the dining plan deal. I was planning on going the last week of August. I went that time with Joe last year and thought the weather was more managable than I expected and the parks were empty. Lizzy missed 6 days of school on our Oct 05 trip and then came home sick and she'll miss another 3 days for her birthday trip so I figured I should start thinking about her not missing so much school next year (she'll be in 2nd grade).

It will be a party of 6-me, DH, Lizzy, Joe, Emma and a friend who helps with the kids. I've already purchased AP's for me, friend (she's going with me on the adult trip), and Lizzy. I was thinking about getting an AP for Joe to take him in Oct. I was going to get DH and Emma just MYW expire tickets. We generally do not do a sit down meal everyday with the kids. I would have to purchase 1 day tickets for all of us so 2 extra adult one days and at least 1 extra child 1 day. That would be $178 plus I would loose any AP discount on the 2 rooms so I'm guessing at least $50/night for 2 moderate rooms. At 7 nights that would be another $350 plus tax, plus the extra tickets would total around $600. I know we probably can't eat for 7/8 days for $600 BUT I'm just not sure I want to deal with the hassle of the dining plan. I guess I should try some more detailed estimations of what we would eat (with DDE discount).

I was hoping to book after SW released their schedule out til late August and was also hoping to wait until after I stayed at POFQ to make sure I like it there.

What did you decide about the AP...where are you getting the voucher or whatever is needed for the May trip?

And maybe we can meet in passing at the airport! Hmmm...maybe we'll just have to come in on Friday for the party or to meet your for breakfast at Chef Mickey's on Saturday since you're staying there anyway.

ETA: I see you are planning to eat at CM on Sat...too bad I don't know if we'll be able to arrive on Friday since it is month end and that means crazy at work.

That would be great! We are getting CM for around 11am on Sat, Sept 30. I'd love to meet you both!

Yeah, just think how quickly the could spread it through the Kindergarten with them each in a different class. You had better keep them out.

I spoke with Rees specialist today who is very well known in Atlanta. She said she'd be happy to write a letter "excusing" the kids from school to go on the trip and cite all of Rees' issues, why low crowds are necessary, and treat it like a MAW trip (BTW, which he actually qualifies for but we turned down so a more needy family could go).

So, it looks like we're going in September. concierge is putting all my ADR requests in tomorrow. I'm psyched!

I'm telling you, a portable DVD player and a Disney movie buys you an hour or so of sleep. With Terra at least she will sit next to me and watch it. It's the only way I survive her late nights sometimes.

He didn't go to bed until 5:30 am. I'm so tired, and I totally have his cold. BK had a pottery painting b'day party today which was fun. It is so nice getting to spend time with them one on one.

Oh, and tomorrow (yes, April Fools Day) is our 11th wedding anniversary. We went to Disney for our honeymoon and stayed at the Poly. We had such a good time.

Gotta go finish chores and get dinner started. Talk to y'all later.
