I started a new baby a couple of weeks ago and I swear when I met w/ them about watching their ababy they said that they would probably be dropping her off between 7:50 & 8:15 a.m.. Anyway, everyday she has been getting dropped of at around 7:10-7:15 a.m., I am up but still this is SO early. Today they got here at 7:05 A.M. :sad2: , I was still in my jammies!!! I feel bad saying anything, and I don't want to offend them, or have them think I am an idiot because they they thought I agreed to this time. I know it's only a few minutes difference but those few minutes are key in the morning for getting my kids ready for school, especially when they are dropping off a little babyl!!! Oh well I guess I just need to suck it up!!!

That's not a few minutes difference, that's an hour! Maybe you could say something - perhaps when they come to pick her up today you could ask if it will be the same time next week? Some people's schedules do change weekly so it's not a silly question to be asking. Might help you clear up the misunderstanding.

How you look after all those kids on such little sleep is beyond me - I'm very impressed!

17. Where would you like to retire to? an RV

Theresa -- I want to retire to an RV too! I think it would be very cool to be able to go anywhere at anytime and take your home with you.

This is what I was afraid of if I did autograph pages for myself. I knew there would be people that wouldn't understand. I guess I just have to get past that and realize that I'm paying just as much (or more) than the kids so I shouldn't feel bad. However, I'm not sure if I'll be able to. Time will tell.

Vicki
Don't worry about that post. It wouldn't matter what you post there is guaranteed to be someone out there that would post something negative. I am an adult an I encourage my kids to collect autographs because I enjoy it. It is a challenge for us to get as many autographs as possible. I consider it collecting just like pin trading. To each his own and don't let the petty people bother you. You bought your ticket into the park just as they did and it is an offered Disney service so why not take advantage of it.

Sorry, yes, I should have included the link to the other thread. You go girl! BTW, what age is good to start piano lessons? Sure wish I was closer so you could teach Rees.

We start them at age 3! Not to plug what I do for a lving... but I guess I am plugging :rotfl: I know that there are Yamaha schools in the Atlanta area. You might want to contact one of them for a free lesson to see if they have what you are looking for. I think our curriculum is about the best you can find for young children.

My advice is to go straight to a specialist. Your doctor will just send you to an orthopedist. A coworker of mine is going in on the 4th for orthroscopic surgery on his knee. Does it hurt when it happens? I hope you are going to be ok to walk around the parks.

Atta girl, Tammi -- get right to the heart of the situation!

Or maybe you can Segway the entire 4 days.

Depends on whether or not she is doing all the DDA Drinking!

:furious: That's awful! That person is obviously missing some Disney magic somewhere! You're never too old for autographs and if character interaction adds some PD to your holiday then you go right ahead!

:furious:

Sorry just had to get that rant out

I just went and posted on the thread too...

I can't believe Bucky wasn't in the bottom 3, or that he is still there.

Exactly! When I saw him sitting next to Katherine I was like - well it's obvious he'll be in the bottom 3... hmm then my jaw dropped!

His version of real good man was just awful - of all the McGraw songs he could have picked too... interested to see how he fares next week as country is his thing...

Lindsey -- a good friend recommended Trigger Tan Salon here in Dallas -- off of Walnut Hill and Inwood. I never did it, because Mystic Tan always works well for me (and I don't have a perfect body, Julie, but you are correct that it seems to work better for some people than others!!) and I also like to use a product called Fake Bake. I read in US Weekly that Kelly Ripa used it (and her "tan" always looks good) so I used it. It's the best self tanner that I've found for me that goes on evenly and stays on a while. I've not put it on myself -- my DH is a real sweetie and does it for me so it doesn't streak. I also like it because when it fades I have it with me and can put more on.

You should see the people look at me strangely at WDW or on the Disney Magic when I ask if they have a Mystic Tan! Crazy woman from Texas is what they think......

Thanks for the recommendation, Marci! :thumbsup2 The only self-tanner I've ever tried was Clinique's (stunk!), and I used some of the Jergens lotion last year, but after a while just couldn't abide the smell.

Vicki, don't let those kind of posts bring you down! Kevin and I took 8 trips to Disney before we had Alyssa, and I truly believed we were just as entitled to the character magic as any child. One morning we were eating breakfast at Ohana, and Chip fell in love with my homemade autograph book. He kept sending CMs to come over to our table and look at it, and then when it was time for the parade, he pulled me out of my chair to march around with him. I'm sure there were others annoyed that "I took a child's spot," but it was a magical moment for me. :goodvibes

Amy :)

Exactly! Well put... and cute memory too :wizard:

How is it when it starts to fade? Does it start looking bad?

BTW....did you ever go to bed last night???? Or should I say this morning?
I can't believe she is up either!!

Thanks Clare, Deb & Amy (if I missed someone else that posted-sorry). You have made me feel better. The person just responded to Clare's post and she obviously doesn't GET the Disney magic. To her Mickey is a college student in a costume.

I WILL get autographs next trip, I WILL get autographs next trip, I WILL get autographs next trip! Just a little reinforcement to make sure I follow through this time. Thanks again for the encouragement.

I think that that is a really nice way of asking, I am going to ask them today after they get here..

I am always just so afraid of hurting someones feelings, or risk having someone feeling put out or angry. I know I need to get over that but I am such a people pleaser!!!

I think that the reason I can't sleep is because I sit there and think about all of the things I need to get done, and I know I can't do most of these things while I have kids here babysitting!! I try to do a lot at night and then I become so wound up I can't sleep. Oh well I can sacrifice sleep, but I would make myself crazy if I didn't get things done around here!!!

I hope that your antibiotics start kicking in and you start feeling better really soon!!! Take Care!!! :goodvibes

That is so ridiculous!!! I didn't get the whole autograph thing before Julia either and now I TOTALLY get it - she has an AWESOME scrapbook and great memories from the extra interaction the autograph pages provide - I would also venture to say she also has Belle as a best friend!!!

:cheer2: yay! You do that and keep living the disney magic :wizard:

I saw that girls other post too... hmm some people should just save their pennies and go to the beach :rotfl2:

You have to remember that you are putting yourself out and making yourself angry when you let things like this go. You are just as important as they are in the big picture - more so in your picture. Just handle it in a polite, nice way and you have nothing to feel bad about.

I am not good at living by this advice and struggle with it myself. I'm getting better. It is why I'm making so many positive changes in my life in the last 6 months. I'm starting to call people on things when it upsets me. I've found that in most cases, they didn't even realize what they were doing. For those that I've upset, I have come to realize that their feelings weren't worth worrying about because obviously they didn't care about mine.

I think we all need to add another thing to our "going out of town list"

1. Cancel the papers
2. Cancel the milk
3. Ask the neighbour to feed the cat
4. Swich off the tv
4. INFORM THE DDA

It just goes to show how much of a family we consider this to be that we worry when someone goes AWOL - I think Glynis will be touched that we all sent out a search party for her.

Kate I think a list of everyone's email or other contact list would be good... but maybe we should have a back up holder, afterall what if you go missing!

On the lurgy front I am having trouble speaking today my chest hurts so much - the doc took one look at me and prescribed antibiotics! That means I'm sick as you have to be pretty much on your death bed over here to get a prescription of antibiotics... didn't actually say what was wrong with me though - I assume it's just a chest infection. He reckons I'll be fixed by Monday HOORAY!!!! :Pinkbounc
Okay - if everyone pms me thier contact info - I will put it in a file and pm the information to a backup person -

it will have to be someone trustworthy!!! HMMMMM.....any volunteers - my first thought is Tammi b/c she is around as much as me!
