Or you could have the best of both worlds and have a Dole Whip w/ alcohol in it---maybe rum???

Although you can't buy alcohol in the Magic Kingdom. So a bit of smuggling would need to occur to do this.

OK...I picked up my Croc Niles from REI...while I was there I bought a pair of Caymans as well. Bill thinks I am nuts. I am breaking them in now...Amy's blisters have me worried!!

Kate, I feel left out :sad1: I don't have the squares in my signature...

Kristine

Okay if the Crocs rub on you foot anywhere try this

Put them in the dryer just enough to get them warm/hot then put them on your foot and walk around. This will help them to comform to your foot. After I did this my new ones did not rub my foot anymore. Hope this helps you all keep the blisters away. LOVE MY CROCS

Thanks to all of you for keeping Brandon in your prayers. My sister & her ex met with the Dr. and he said not to be concerned because it isn't unusual for kidneys to develop cysts. They can go talk to a urologist (I think it was) if they are concerned and want a second opinion. They are currently discussing it. My Mom also talked to her best friends husband who is a Dr. and he said there was nothing to be concerned about either. It sounds like it isn't anything to worry about. Thanks again for the prayers. Knowing that others had him in their prayers helped me wait for the info. If things change and there is reason for concern, I'll let you know. Thanks again. Vicki

I'm really glad her doctor told her not to worry. It confirms what my doctor has said to me for years. The cysts on my kidneys were not harming anything... And I've made it to 55!!!

You are doing so many great wedding ones I may have to get a divorce from DH so we can get married again!!! :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

You could always do a vow renewal at WDW or on a Disney Cruise for a special anniversary or something. That way you can still have the hoopla but don't need a divorce and an explanation for DH. :rotfl2:

KristineN-This would also work for your DH and your special anniversary coming up. Do a vow renewal at WDW or on a Disney Cruise. Or even in Vegas do a vow renewal or a special suprise trip at one of the places he wants to stay.

Do you recall the gift shop hours when you could get your photopass CD? Did it take you a lot of time to do this? Were you able to add borders, signatures or characters to the photos or can you do this from home? If you add borders, etc., do you have to go through all the pictures one by one to make the changes, and so it'll increase the time you spend getting the CD?
Thanks for any information you can give me on this topic.

Monica

Kevin went to the Grand Floridian Gift Shop (the only resort gift shop that does this) and their hours are 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. If you're buying the CD, you can only add the borders and autographs there. We had over 300 pictures, and Kevin very quickly went through them with the CM and added a few things, but he could've easily been there for hours.

Hope this helps.

I couldn't remember if it was dryer or microwave :rotfl2: I mentioned it to Bill and he gave me the "eyeball" and muttered something about "crazy woman cooking her shoes"

I think that a lot of kids go to pre-school at 3 & 4 years old. It is not mandatory, and the days vary depending on the schools/parents. I think it is mostly for socialization, but the also work on letters and numbers, and other things. It is also a lot of fun things like songs, stories, games, basic principles like weather, calendar, etc.. I think it is a great transition before they go 5 days a week to kindergarten.

OK. Then there's not that different after all. I thought they just stayed at home until 5 yo. FYI, in case you're interested, the school system in Mexico works like this. The public school system starts also mandatory at 5 yo. There are also daycare centers for working mothers who receive younger kids, even babies. But here the public schools are not like those in the US, but they are geared more towards the low income class people. Unfortunately, this is how it works and the schools and the education is not as good as it should be. Most, or I'd say all of the middle to upper income class people send their kids to private schools. There are religious and non-religious private schools too, with a wide range of monthly tuition fees, so they can be affordable to more people. Basically the difference between private schools are the facilities, the school size, the activities offered, sports, etc. and also if they teach a second language (mostly english) and at what level, so there are schools with one hour a day of english, there are bilingual schools which have half day and half day or multicultural school, as they're called, which are all-day english except for one or two subjects in spanish. This is where my kids go.
After this loooong background, the school levels that our school has are:
Nursery-2 years (some skip this level)
Pre-K-3 years
K1-4 years
K2-5 years
Pre-first-6 years
Elementary school-7 years
and the rest goes about the same
As you see, our school has an additional year called Pre-first, but that is because the kids learn to speak, read and write spanish and english at the same time, so they require a higher maturity level to be able to handle this. If the school has few or none english time, they don't have this level so kids start Elementary school at 6 yo.
As you say, in Kindergarten they work on letters, numbers, weather, days of the week, etc. and activities with songs, stories & games, and in our school this is in english. They do go 5 days a week though, and the hours vary from one school to another.
Ufff! I guess that SUMS it up. ;)
I hope it wsn't that boring.
