That sounds like fun! I wish I were on a beach right about now!

I agree, I want to go to the beach, but it has to be somewhere warm and :sunny:

Thanks, but I feel far from it. Some of the stuff is really HARD! That's why I was so pleased with the walk-through type tutorials... we'll see if I could do anything that on my own without someone holding my hand! I might just stick to putting clipart and words together, with a few bevels or shadows :rotfl:

It is a really great way to learn the program, though! But I can't ever get over how much you can do with it!
I've been using PS for about 7 years now. I learned by doing web tutorials and reading books. You are starting out far better than the junk I made when I first started. Some of the stuff I first made was just hideous! :teeth:

Just got back from the dentist. We (myself and kids) had very good check-ups. Except they must have gagged Alyssa or something because she ended up throwing up, on their floor. Nicholas was told that his bottom teeth are loosening, which made him :woohoo:since he is the only one in his class that hasn't lost a tooth yet.

Poor Alyssa  , a couple of weeks ago they tried to do sealants on Kyle but couldn't because he kept gagging!!!!

Way to go Nicholas, it won't be long now!!!

Poor Carli wants to lose a tooth SO bad but I think it will be a while since she was over 14 months old before she got her first tooth :scared1: !!! I was very concerned!!Is Nicholas in Kindergarten~Carli is and I think she is one of the only ones to not lose one yet!!! Kyle didn't loose a tooth until half way through second grade-then he lost two back-back, and then he didn't lose another one for over a year!!!! So far he has only lost 3 teeth and he is almost done w/second grade!!! I think that those teeth are just very crowded in there :crowded: (I just wanted to use that smilie :rolleyes2 )!!!

Who knew that I could ramble on about teeth like this, you should hear me IRL :lmao: !!!!

I just watched Spectromagic. It gave that nice, fuzzy feeling at first. But now.... well, you know how it goes. :sad2:

I'm excited for our June trip, but I can't believe I'll be so close, and yet so far......

Oh, well. Maybe Kyle will get his vacation weeks in September or October and we'll just have to go then :rolleyes1

Did she get a flouride treatment? I always did, and I would apparently swallow too much and throw up there, too! Everytime, without fail.
No, we never made it that far. After her "accident" we opted out of the flouride. I think it may have been a bit of nerves too.

Poor Alyssa! Well, I can't really say I blame her. I'm not a big fan of dentists, either ;)

Hopefully she is feeling better now!

When I was in second grade, I had to have my four bottom front teeth pulled because the adult teeth were growing in behind my baby teeth. I went to the dentist for a regular check up appointment, before I left they had pulled my four teeth. After my teeth were out they basically said they would probably not have come out on there own. The roots were as big or larger than the part of the tooth that was visible to the eye.

My brother used to always gag and throw up everytime he went to the dentist when he was younger. They actaully started spraying his throat or giving him something to numb his gag reflex because the cleaning would make him throw up.

He also had the sealants put on to prevent cavities. They haven't been too successful. Last year he had x-rays done they found 14 cavities, when he was at the dentist reccently and had x-rays done again he had 4 more. They are all underneath the sealants. They only find the cavities when he has x-rays done as they are between the teeth and too small to see normally.

Yes, he is in kindergarten. And don't let that stuff about when their teeth came in fool you. He got his first tooth at 4 months and hasn't lost one yet at almost 6 and a half.

Sometimes I really question why I babysit (like today) but I really love being w/ kids, it keeps me home w/ my kids, and I'm not ready to go back and get a "real" job yet!!!

Thanks Again!!!!

Julie

Your job in no way is not a real job. you were hired by the parents and you take care of their precious children. How you handled the situation was perfect. I would not watch that child ever until it is about 20 :lmao:

That was totally me!!!! I had over 20 teeth pulled (baby & permanent) my mouth was too small---No comments from the peanut gallery please :lmao: !!!! I think that my kids take after me!!!! I couldn't get braces until I was almost 19 :furious: !!!! I got my 12 year molars at 18!!!! And I also got sealants about 10 years ago, I have never had a cavity--I went to the dentist a month ago and guess what I had a cavity underneath my sealant. He said that sealants start to peel away and the cavities grow underneath!!!!

Thanks so much!!!! I don't really think that they will ever ask me to babysit her again!!! What I don't understand is why my SIL didn't ask her sister to watch her since she is home all day doing-----ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!!!! That is where DN is going for the rest of the week----we'll see how well her other aunt survives!!!!

It is funny though because their other 2 kids are really good kids, this 3rd one really seems to be giving them a run for their money!!! Maybe I should rethink my decision to have another one and stop while I'm ahead!!!

I think you are safe since Amy isn't around - I will have to reserve judgement until Saturday - then I reserve the right to come back and make a call on that!!!!

OK so my BIL just called to see how everything was and DH I think made him feel really bad---which now I feel really bad about because first of all he is thousands of miles away what can he do about it, and I don't want DH to fight w/ his brother (even though they aren't as close as they once where--)BIL can be quite a snob. Anyway DH just kept saying how bad the little girls face looked and that the little boy's didn't look too bad, but he just kept stressing how bad she looked. He told him that I had talked to the parents though and that the reason I was so upset was because it was so close to her eye etc. etc.

He thinks that BIL got mad at him because he got kind of short w/ him at the end and BIL said "Well I guess that she'll find out tomorrow how mad they are if they don't come back"!!! Which I think is kind of a rude thing to say :rolleyes2 !!!

They where having dinner at California Adventure but they weren't going to the park :sad2: !!! Oh Well it's their loss!!!

Hey! You sound like me. I have had 12 adult teeth pulled, and I don't know how many baby teeth. And yet, I get the same jokes.... no one believes that my mouth is small! :confused3 :rotfl:

OK, we are going on vacation w/ DH's whole family in June for a week. Do you think that I should invest in some protective face gear for the kids to wear to protect them from Kujo-I mean DN?? Anyone know where i can find some??

Although, I might need some for myself, since I did put her in time out :scared1: , I better sleep w/ my door locked and one eye open at all times :lmao: !!! I think that today has made me a little  crazy!!!

I can't believe I am joking about this!!! It SO wasn't funny at the time!!!

Hi Jo,
Good to see you
Hope Ramiro gets better quick :grouphug:

I have been out of the house the last couple of Monday nights. Today Kyle kept asking me if his favorite show is on tonight and can he watch it when he gets home from Religous Ed.. He couldn't remember what the name of the show was but he said it was really funny and he and his dad have watched the last couple of Mondays after he got home!!! I just discovered his new favorite show is Two and a Half Men :sad2: . DH just got an earful from me to say the least, that show is SO not a kids show but apparently Kyle thinks it's hilarious to say the least and doesn't understand why he can't watch it :rolleyes2 !!!
