Denise -

I think you should table your decision for one month and see how you feel about it then

You have gone back and forth and there are pros and cons to each side - so I say wait and see how you feel about it in one month and do what is best for your family!!!!

As for the cabbage patch thing. I know that you know better than this :lmao: but, sadly my grandmother truly thought that was where babies came from. She was raised on a farm and the kids were all told they picked the babies in the fields.

I actually can see how they could believe this. There were 12 kids and most of them were born out in the field. So Mom came back from the field with a new baby in hand, "picked from the field".

This Grandmother didn't start her period until 16, at 17 she had my Mom, with no idea how she got pregnant. It's sad but true.

So this ends my posting party. Know that I am all caught up I must go to work, so I can come home and be un caught up.

OMG! What a shock that poor girl had!

Ok come on - help a poor english girl out... what is calgon?? Over here its a tablet you put in the washing machine to prevent the build up of lime scale and the song goes "washing machines live longer with calgon"!!

Over here it's a type of "bubble bath". Bath salts you soak in. Very nicely scented, and relaxing, supposedly. I've never had enough patience to soak in a tub long enough to try it out!

Julie-

if you have an AP and get an AP discount in December - you can't get the dining plan - so your best bet would be to go to the base one day plan and upgrade everyone elses!!

Airfare in non-refundable, but I can change it for $250 total or claim it on my trip insurance (not Disney) and only lose $100. I don't know who I'd talk to at the school now. Maybe the people who are evaluating him for his IEP? I just don't want them to think I don't care about his education and how he will adapt (since he does have trouble settling in to a schedule) and think that I believe a trip is more important (even though it is!)

I was going to read the other replies to you first so I wouldn't repeat, but this did it for me. I understand your feelings completely because I can tell we're a lot alike. But if you feel that the trip is that important then sometimes you have to forget about what others might think, as hard as that will be. You and John are his parents and if you feel he's better off going in the fall, then use the letter you're getting from (the therapist? - I forgot who it was) and do it. Make peace with your decision.

If you think you can't make peace, then what is it about the fall trip that would be better? Is it solely because that time of year would be better for Rees? Is it all the money you'd save with free dining? Is it missing MNSSHP? Sometimes the money saved isn't worth the worry, guilt and anxiety it might cause. Could you adjust your airline tickets and head down for the weekend and do MNSSHP? That way you soak up some of the Halloween atmosphere and free dining, but they won't miss much school. Then take your December trip?

I honestly wish I could be more help. I know we all do, but :grouphug:

So I would just need to buy a 1 day pass??? Not for everyday, just one day??? We already have park-hoppers for that week, is that all they need to be upgraded to???

No cheerleader here, sorry! Some of my best friends were, though. I was a total drama geek in high school and college. I also played in a bluegrass band. Those were my extracurricular activities.
No cheerleader here either. I was a bit wild in high school so I doubt I would have lasted on the squad. Like you I was friends with lots of them, though.

Yep -

it is my understanding that everyone has to buy the same base ticket - but once you are there you can add on to the tickets - so you would get a one day base ticket for everyone and then on check in - or maybe at the parks - upgrade the other 3 to a week long park hoper

maybe someone else could verify - I will check on the theme park board -

but a lot of AP holders want the free dining and I think this is how they do it

BIL-J (John) did not make his flight out of Sacramento so he had to wait about 6 hours for the next one.

He got into MI and off to the hospital. SIL-T (Tammie) was very happy to have him with her.

Well come to find out SIL-T doesn’t have a tumor IN her stomach… it is on her spine and around her kidney. They can’t operate because it could paralyze her if they nick the spine. They put the shunt in last night and will be giving her a radiation treatment today sometime.

I didn’t know cancer is categorized by number, but it goes from 1-5 with 5 being terminal. She is categorized at a 4A (not sure what the A is all about). So it doesn’t sound all that good. They think the cancer is in her lymph system as well.

MIL says to me this morning, “I think I will go out to MI on the 17th during Easter break because other wise I wont be able to go until summer.’ In the words of SIL-A (April) ARE YOU KIDDING ME!!!

What ever!!!! I think she is out to lunch.

BIL-J should be talking w/ the Dr today and give us a full report tonight. I will let you all know how it goes.

I can’t thank you enough for all the prayers and PD.
Continued prayers for your family :grouphug:

Now that I have caught up and did NOTHING else, I am off to match up socks from the laundry yesterday.

I know, I know… you all want to be me. Matching socks is just so much fun. Don’t worry, I’m sure you will have the joy of matching socks sometime in the near future.
I need to head back to my laundry too. And a half a bottle of Spray and Wash later I ask myself why oh why do I buy a 5 year old white shirts???

I have to step up to Vicki's defence, that was me making the accusations :rolleyes1:

Go on - show us more pictures, we love to see them you're such a cute family :goodvibes

You missed it Clare...she "accused" me first...you posted the same thing a few hours later! :rotfl2:

And yes, Vicki, you should fear me! I am the world's most intimidating person, especially with a voice so high that lots of telephone solicitors ask, "Can I speak to your mom or dad?" :lmao:

Is anybody in Cincinnati going to see Tim McGraw & Faith Hill??? I might, they still have tickets available!!! He is another one that is OH SO HOT!!!!

Oh go please so I can live vicariously through you - I'd so love to see those two in concert together :(

I need to clarify something! I was NEVER a cheerleader, but many of my students "accused" me of being one, because I smile so much.

But, I was yearbook editor, and I did put the individual pictures of the senior cheerleaders in order of who I like most to least... :teeth:

Amy :)

People, people...it's SHAUN Cassidy! Let's get the spelling right! :teeth:

Well aren't you the catty one.

But that is funny.:teeth:

To get the dining plan you have to be on a package with Disney.
To be on a package with Disney you have to buy hotel and tickets together.

If you're an AP Holder and you want the dining plan, you have to buy a package with Disney which means you have to buy hotel and tickets together. "But I already have tickets!" you say? So you buy a one day base ticket to be included in the package.

You now have your AP and a one day base ticket. The base ticket doesn't expire until you use it. So you don't use it because you have your AP. And you've gotten the dining plan. Now you have a one day base ticket saved. Use it for a Christmas gift. Use it towards next year's AP cost. Store it away for your kids kids, because it doesn't expire. But the big thing is that you've gotten the dining plan now.
