I just called Jen for an update. Her and her Mom are staying at the hospital tonight. There is no change to report now. We will talk in the morning. I told her that we are all thinking of her :grouphug:

So how did the kids react?
Well, I started off with "do you remember when I asked you if you wanted a lot of presents for Christmas and no WDW or a few presents and a trip to WDW". Nicholas said he still wanted a few presents and WDW, and Alyssa said a lot of presents. So I told Alyssa she could stay home with Daddy and that Nicholas and I were going to WDW.....IN 2 WEEKS!!! She quickly decided that she wanted to come too. They were thrilled, and then I started showing them pictures of AKL, and they remembered it from when we were there for dinner at Boma. We had been early and had time to walk around the pool area and all the overlooks. Then I showed them the Color Coded Matrix of Fun ;) and what all we would be doing and where we would be eating. They were excited to go back to CP, as we haven't been there since '04. I still haven't told them that Bob and Bethany are coming. That will be another surprise. :goodvibes

We're watching that too. Of course the boys don't remember seeing it before :rotfl2:

Jen called a bit ago. Her Dad called her and her Mom earlier this afternoon and her Grandfather had taken a turn for the worst. He was having a lot of difficulty breathing. They are all at the hospital where they will remain until he passes. They started him on a morphine drip earlier this evening and said it was only a matter of hours now. She sounded really good and didn't want anyone wondering where she was. The family is at peace with the fact that the time has come since he has been clearly suffering for days.

My evening project

Colby was so excited to be putting up the village. The first box had the skating rink in it. He helped me carry things up from the basement and helped me empty the boxes. Then he talked about how he was going to teach Daddy the Christmas spirit and made him help too. It was too cute.

We also watched Grid Iron Gang tonight on DVD. It was actually a touching story and had me in tears during parts. Who would of thought that a movie starring the Rock would bring me to tears :confused3
Very nice, Deb. That looks like a lot of work. I'm glad you had some help. ;)

I just got home from seeing Beauty and the Beast at our Dinner Theater. The show was outstanding. Bob' mom really enjoyed it as well. She loves the theater. She will be going home tomorrow and Bob and I will head out to do some shopping. I still have to buy for my parents and I have no idea what to get them. So I best get to sleep because I know he will be here at the buttcrack of dawn.

Good night.

Jen- Prayers for you and your family.

Jennifer-your anoucement was great! Your family must of had a very special Thanksgiving!

Loving all the Christmas signatures!

Dana went to bed, the poor guy is sick. He never has a minute to rest so I insisted ne try to get to bed early.

Oh I forgot to say..Sophie was picked to be the lead angel at out Christmas pageant at church. She is soooo excited, she gets to sing.
Hope Dana was feeling better for the holiday.

Congrats to Sophie!!!!

PS: My FIL apologized to DH
Wow! I agree with whoever (can't remember now who) said he should be appologizing to you too!

Hey strangers...

Hope everyone is enjoying their thanksgiving. I know we are as we have many things to be thankfull for this year. Specifically the one sleaping on the living room floor right now.

However I'm not sure how thankfull I am for tomorrow... I turn 40 and that is a real Black Friday!
So did you survive today?;) 40 doesn't seem so old now that I'm closer to 50.:scared1:

What a special Thanksgiving for your family too!

DH got his dSLR camera. It's a 10 mp Olympus. We think it dropped another $100 overnight. DH and I both thought it was $600 yesterday, and today it was $500.:confused3 Works for me. He is trying to get it out of the package now. I want him to practice with it so he is comfortable using it at WDW in 19 days!

So while we were waiting for DH to go grab a cart we stumbled across a big display of Wii bundles. The same thing I was looking at online yesterday. So we bought that, too. DS says he understands he will not be allowed to play with it until Christmas morning. We stopped by Toys R Us but their sale on Wii games is over. Please post if anyone sees them on sale between now and Christmas.:)
Congrats on the Wii. Tell DH I'm expecting to see some great photos when you get home! Just not too great cause then I'll want a dSLR too.:rotfl:

Happy Thanksgiving (a day late), and Happy Black Friday, DDA!

The last 48 hours have been an absolute whirlwind, but this time tomorrow, I will be on a plane, just 1 hour away from Orlando, if all goes according to plan!
Have a great trip! Stay healthy!!!:wizard:

The kids just left with their dad. I reminded him about the trip. I got the rolled eyes, but no grief. YAY! So now it seems really real. I don't have to worry anymore about him canceling my AKLV ressie, and the kids now know. 16 MORE DAYS!!!!
Glad that wasn't as bad as you had feared it could be. The kids must be so excited!

It is PAINFULLY obvious that they are NOT bidding for vacation on Monday. They haven't even distributed seniority lists yet. DH says the girl who is in charge now isn't the same person who did bids the Monday after Thanksgiving. Last year they didn't bid until 12/11, and I thought it was because they were in the process of swithcing a bunch of drivers around and it was a big mess. DH says that apparently this girl prefers to run the bids later in December.:headache: I hope bids are done before we go to WDW so IF they are still offering Bounce Back I can try to book that.
I'm guessing she doesn't have to bid?

Jenn -- my SIL found a Cowboys blanket on an endcap at Wal-Mart today.
How nice!

Very nice!

Merry Christmas Nick!!!!

Very nice, Nick. I see we have another DISigner in our midst.

Nick loves to create things in photoimpact. He is much like me. He will be doing something on the computer while watching a movie or tv show. Must multitask.

I just ended up downloading all of Cassidy's songs to my new mp3 player...I do believe some of them will be coming off. I don't need to listen to her ex-boyfriends brother's band (confused yet??;) )

Deb-love your decorating pictures...I am so excited I have my own mantel to decorate tomorrow!!

Nick-:thumbsup2 and I hope you have a happy holiday season!!

Tammi-I am so glad to "hear" your excitement over the upcoming trip...you all will be have an awesome time!!

We're off to bed. Goodnight all.

ETA: I must ask Nick how he got the alternate colored letters :confused3 The little stinker has figured out things that I can't :rotfl2:

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

good night, glad you liked the show!!

Tammi I'm glad that x2b took the trip well. How will he take the news that Bob and his daughter joined you? I'm sure he will hear it from the kids eventually. I really hope that he isn't a jerk, he walked out after all, but I could see him making an issue of it. :wizard:

If he remembers, when he intercepted the original confirmation from DVC, Bob and Bethany's name was on the ressie, so he should know. He says the kids always talk about Bob and how much they like having him around, and when he says it I can't help but hear an underlying tone about the fact that I have moved on with my life. Like you said, he is the one that left, so I really don't care what he thinks, as long as it doesn't interfere with my life.

Oh, one more thing I need to share. Evidently Bob told his mom all about our trip in October...bits of information about shows, attractions and stuff. So she says to me "since you go so often have you been able to figure out how they do some of the things?" Before I had a chance to answer Bob says "It's Disney magic, Mother." He just might be 'getting it.' :goodvibes

Now I'm really heading to bed. Good night all.

Vicki, circuit city has a 2GB sd card for $6.99 after rebate online today. :thumbsup2
I went to Circuit City this morning and it was CRAZY!!!!! I just wanted a few Nintendo DS games and I was going to get my friend the SD card for her nephew who she bought a camera for and a camera case for $2.99. They only had something like 3 cashiers. I stood in line for at least 20 minutes and it didn't move and they didn't even have all the games I wanted so I gave up. There were 3 police cruisers in the parking lot and the cops were speaking to someone.:confused3

So I left and went to Kohl's. I went a bit crazy there. I bought myself a lot of stuff. I never go shopping for me. I got myself 3 pairs of chinos. I've been wearing the same two pairs I bought after I had Lizzy. I can't find anything I like quite as much but am afraid they won't last much longer. I had gained a lot of weight after I had Joe but I finally lost it after Emma was 1 so I've been wearing these pants for about 5 years. I also bought 2 pairs of jeans, a long sleeve T, turtleneck, long underwear top, PJ's and 2 bras. I got Joe a couple of track pants and a pair of pants that can be made into shorts and a pair of sleep pants. I got some games, color wonder stuff for the kids, a pan for my SIL, and a couple of throws. It was nice and "civilized" there with lots of cashiers. And now I've got all this "Kohl's Cash" so I've got to go back.:)

I got my niece's DD (she's 6 months younger than Emma) a Very Hungry Caterpiller puzzle with colorforms, and a Very Hungry Caterpiller game. After Kohl's I was waiting for Barnes & Noble to open to buy the Very Hungry Caterpiller book when someone told me about this nice new toy store that was open. I found a Very Hungry Caterpiller coloring book and decided to get that instead of the book that she likely already has. I also found a great "thing" for her very hard to buy for father.

Then I went to the Children's Place in the same mall and got Lizzy a pair of cords, sweater, long sleeve T, and tights all for $24.

This mall had free coffee and pastries too.:thumbsup2 It was great since I hadn't had anything. And the pastries were from a really nice bakery too!

Then I went to Staples and even though I got there after 10am they sold me the SD card for $14.99.:thumbsup2

What a great Black Friday shopping adventure!!!:woohoo: :woohoo:
Congrats on your finds! You must be a lot of fun to be with on Black Friday! I imagine you're a lot of fun to be with anyday!!!!!

We left the house by 5:30 and were home a little before 11....we then slept and slept and woke up to see CU finish whomping Nebraska:cool1: .

We got:

the sewing machine
Abi's Christmas outfit
assorted DVD's

and I think I like Best Buy's new ticketing system. If items that needed tickets weren't bought by ticket holders they opened it up to the general public and I got an MP3 player!!:cool1:

The biggest line was the Disney Store....and that was a whopping 10 minutes. their black Friday stuff was awesome!!! We've never been on BF.

We hit 7 stores (Best Buy twice) in less than 5 hours...I like the lousy ads...makes for less crowds!!:rotfl2:

Congrats on your new sewing machine!!!!!!
