I am headed to bed very soon. I have to drive to Richmond to get Kristin tomorrow and there is still a bunch of grocery shopping that needs to be done for Thursday. So, I think I need to recharge my batteries! ;)

If you are traveling over the next few days, be safe. I will talk to you all in the morning.

I didn't comment on it since I was appalled that you were taking it all so lightly! :rotfl:

:rotfl2:

Believe me the dam that escaped my lips was the lightest of the words I was thinking...espescially after I saw the bruise. :headache:

Robyn - Thanks for the offer, but I think I can keep myself busy dusting my own stuff.;)

I am off to watch some TV. Chat with you all later!:)

Marie Osmond is going to be there in mid-December but it is while we are at Disney. That is disappointing because I'd love to see her. I'm not usually a star struck person but Marie is Donny's sister! :lmao:

Did you happen to see Donny on the Today show yesterday morning? It was a really great interview.

His family is expecting their very first granddaughter! Donny and his wife have 5 sons, and one grandson. Can we say that this little girl is going to be very spoiled???

It was neat to see Donny, Jimmy, Wayne and Merrill all there with Marie last night. There has always been one of her brothers there with her, but this was the first time I saw more than 2! They are so protective of her. Her divorce got really ugly, and they really rallied around her. I love that!

Well, I'm to soak in a bubble bath! Alan is putting the kids to bed, so I'm going to indulge in some "me" time. I know that Alan will demand some time later (ewwww), so I'm going to do something just for me!

No, I'm sorry that I missed that. I did buy his new CD. I love it. Where did you see Marie with her brothers last night?

She is on Dancing With The stars. She somehow made it to the final 3 :confused3

Oh, I forgot she was on there. I guess I'll have to see if I can find it online so that I can catch a glimpse of Donny in the audience.

If you go to ABC.com you can watch the shows online, you will see Donny :thumbsup2

This is at the top of my list for someday! I want to learn to play as well. I know very little about music. My grandfather was amazing. He played the guitar, violin, accordian, etc. Mostly the violin. My earliest memories were sitting at his feet with a bunch of my cousins listening to him play. I miss his music. That has been the hardest thing about getting together for reunions - no music anymore. My girls took violin lessons when they were younger and say that they want to do so again when they get older and are out of college.

I wish I could help you.

Do you know a Girl Scout camp counselor or leader who plays guitar? That might be a good place to start because they tend to play lots of camp songs but they might not know enough to teach or help pick out an instrument either that is my problem.

I have a musical background up through college. When I graduated from college I kind of stopped being involved in music activities and really, really miss them. I played the piano, clarinet, saxophone, and was in choirs from before I was in kindergarten. I took music theory and composition classes. I just never got reinvolved in music activities after I moved back to PA.

Becky-

from what I know about guitars (it isn't one of the instruments played in our house) it's easier to move from acoustic to electric than vice versa. There's my knowledge...lol.

That is what I have heard as well. Hence thinking about starting on an acoustic, if I go electric I would like to learn electric bass as well.

Good night all, I have to go to work till 1pm tomorrow, if I decide to stay that long and then have off till Monday. Hopefully I can work on my trip report I want to finish it before the end of the year and clean.

Oh, poor Donny & Marie and their family. I didn't know they had lost their dad. I just saw Donny crying. So sad but loving!

:rotfl: Oh come one, Elizabeth. Having a guinea pig for a few days might be fun. At least funny for us!! :rotfl:

:rotfl: :rotfl:

Our new set of DVC contracts came today. We are signing them now. We'll go get the one notarized in the morning and send them back out.

:cool1:

Hi all...

I stopped to the DVC store out by me to pick up my member xmas ornament. I am guessing it will be the same one they give out at the Merry Mixer. If you get a chance to go....I thought the ornament was cute.

ornamnet.jpg

That is so cute, but I don't think Chris will let me go to WDW just to get a "free" ornament :goodvibes

I don't get it. I mailed all my ornaments the same day, Saturday. Janet got hers on Monday, but the other 2 haven't arrived yet. I can't figure the postal system out.

You must have missed my earlier post or maybe I just thought that I posted :confused3 . Colby got his ornament today. He LOVED the Cars pencils and stickers. That was the first things that he saw. Mommy how did they know that I like Cars. Then he moved the newspaper and saw bubble wrap. He immediately said, "Wow, how did they know that I LOVE bubble wrap" :rotfl: :rotfl: So he proceeded to pop some bubbles before removing the tape. Then he found the wonderful homemade cinnamon Mickey head ornament and wanted to know if he could take a bite of it yet :lmao: :lmao: Then back to playing with the bubble wrap. Finally he discovered the Donald Duck ornament and couldn't believe that anyone would know that he Loved Donald Duck. I said that "maybe" I talk about him. He decided that I should not talk about him anymore since everyone knows everything about him :rotfl2: :rotfl2: Please tell your Nicholas that he loved everything about his package :thumbsup2 Thank you very much

I have friends at camp that can help me out once I learn to play. They have the sheet music to all the songs that I'd want to play. They also wouldn't be able to help me get started. I will be starting acoustic. That is all I'm really interested in really.

Well, I just finished boxing up my ornaments for the exchange. They will go out first thing in the morning!
In an effort to excuse my tardiness, I made our recipients a SSP. Hope that they will like them!
If I don't get back on tomorrow, everyone have a safe and Happy Thanksgiving!
Good night all!

That is cute! Deb if I get one of these in Dec. I will send it your way :thumbsup2

That would be awesome!! If they do give something away they should give each of you one. You will have some for your house too :thumbsup2

Now those I have never heard of!:confused3

Tia - I hope Phil & Rachel feel better!:wizard:

I haven't heard from Mother again, so I am assuming they haven't left yet.:scared: I spoke to her about 4:30 and she said it would probably be another 2 hours before they got on the road. (I TOLD her to wait until tomorrow, but she won't.) At that rate they won't make it into town until 4 AM. Irresponsible, if you ask me. Mother worked today so it isn't like she took a big nap to get ready to drive all night.:sad2: I can see how DS will get shoved back to the bottom of her "to-do" list. Since I refused to take the pig now she has no reason to make an effort to fit us in. And Wednesday, the day that was supposed to be her day with DS, won't happen because she will be too tired to do anything. So the default day will be Saturday when we already have other plans!:headache: That will be spun to AGAIN paint me as the bad daughter, and AGAIN DS will get the short end of the stick.:guilty:

Would it be possible for you to meet your mother and sister somewhere between your house and your sister's. That way you won't disturb dh, your ds will get to spend time with her and there will be less stress overall. Maybe a mall or something :confused3
