Would it be possible for you to meet your mother and sister somewhere between your house and your sister's. That way you won't disturb dh, your ds will get to spend time with her and there will be less stress overall. Maybe a mall or something :confused3

I don't know. DS hates the mall, and my youngest sister would want to look at stuff and DS would end up being ignored. This is a VERY bad time of year to just go hang out at the mall. My mother wanted me to drive up and go shopping on Black Friday with my sisters while she watches the babies, but there again, that doesn't give DS any time with her. I never did hear back from her even though I asked her to call me once she got on the road, so now I really don't know what the plan is.

Tia, that was an impressive recap! :goodvibes

I agree!:thumbsup2

 to you and :grouphug: to your entire family, Jen. I will be thinking of you today.

Lots of  to you, Jen!

I got my mantle dusted last night. I need to do laundry today, vacuum, and make the 2 desserts for tomorrow. I will probably finish dusting. Which is a shame because it will be dusty again by the time we leave in 3 weeks, so I'll have to dust again for the pet sitter.

But hey! THREE WEEKS!!:dance3: Three weeks 'til WDW!!

What a awesome recap Tia, bravo to you! :thumbsup2

I think that you've caught the biggest news of late - Jennifer and the babies! and Glynis' grandmother. Let's see what else I can think of...

(I tried to cover everyone, but if I left you out I am so sorry! My brain is fading fast, but I didn't want to forget the request since I already had once today.)

Jen you will all be in my thoughts today

I am up entirely too early...so here i am :)

Im working then probabaly headed back to hospice to see grandpa after work...Apparently, the nurses said it may be sometime today, so if that is the case, ill be leaving work early and not sure when im getting back..so have a good day all

:woohoo: Enjoy your time off!

I do not have to work for the next 4 days. Sunday afternoon we have three audition concerts for next year's music camp and National Concert. Seems like we just did this... :rotfl:

Elin is keeping busy at work. One of her students was recently selected to perform at some really big-deal thingy (that's the technical term, don't ya know).

I know that I promised further explanation of this, and Theresa has prompted me to do so! First of all, it is Patrick who has been invited to play in January. You all probably remember that he is the young man I took to California last summer for music camp and the National Concert.

We are headed to the Anaheim Convention Center on January 16-20 for the annual NAMM Show. The National Association of Music Merchants holds an annual convention there with more than 80,000 participants. It is not open to the public, but attended by some of the biggest names in the business. You may know the NAMM Foundation because of their connection to Disney through High School Musical. They are one of the sponsors of the grant program allowing high schools across the country to produce and perform "High School Musical" in their schools. One of our local high schools won one of these coveted grants! They have also teamed with Sesame Workshop to produce a float for the 2008 Tournament of Roses Parade.

From the website: The NAMM Show is always an unforgettable event, with more than 80,000 registrants packing the aisles of the Anaheim Convention Center to check out the latest gear. The show is a star studded event with endorsing musicians such as Carlos Santana, Sheila E, Stevie Wonder, Dweezil Zappa, Keanu Reeves and Korn, adding to the spectacle as they pose for pictures and talk shop with show attendees. From CBS to CNN and E! Entertainment Television, journalists from throughout the world come to cover the new instruments unveiled.

Yamaha Corporation (of which YMES - the music education division - is a part) is one of the largest exhibitors. They invited Patrick to perform his award-winning composition on Friday and Saturday at their main booth in the Convention Center. Any of you familiar with the Disneyland area (known as the Anaheim Resort area) know the Anaheim Convention Center. It is huge and right across Katella Ave. from DL. :goodvibes The NAMM Show will take up the ENTIRE Convention Center...
front.jpg

We will stay at the Anaheim Marriott, within walking distance of DL. So, any free time I have will be spent getting my Disney fix. :goodvibes

Patrick will be rehearsing two days and then performing two days while we are there. Last year Yamaha had a link on their website to a streamed video of the performances. If they do that again this year, I will be "Live from Anaheim" and will post a link!!

I am off to get ready to head to Richmond. I will check in with you all later. Have wonderful days, friends!

Elin, congrats to Patrick. How nice that he is being recognised yet again.

I would be over to DL as much as possible. :upsidedow

Mother just phoned. They spent the night int he parking lot at the grocery store because it was "too late" to go to my sister's house at 1 AM. :scared1: My sister was EXPECTING them!!!
They got a motel room but it was too smoky, so the OBVIOUS solution was to park in the lot of the grocery store near MY house and sit there for several hours. With the guinea pig.
I just buzzed them in the gate, so I have to go sort this out!:sad2:

Did you happen to see Donny on the Today show yesterday morning? It was a really great interview.

His family is expecting their very first granddaughter! Donny and his wife have 5 sons, and one grandson. Can we say that this little girl is going to be very spoiled???

It was neat to see Donny, Jimmy, Wayne and Merrill all there with Marie last night. There has always been one of her brothers there with her, but this was the first time I saw more than 2! They are so protective of her. Her divorce got really ugly, and they really rallied around her. I love that!

I loved seeing them on the Oprah show, and also vote for Marie each week, even though I rarely get to see the show. What an amazing family! I'm still jealous that you have met them!

I am up entirely too early...so here i am :)

Hugs to you and your family, Jen.

Tia -- an amazing recap!

Denise -- strange as it sounds, it suddenly hit me yesterday that Mom won't be here for Thanksgiving. I guess I've been too busy to really think about turkey day. I got very emotional after Randy and my Dad left my office (they met there) to go to Grandparents day. Then when I got home, all of our outside lights are up on the house and fence, and I got all emotional again. (she loved lights and the whole Christmas season.) I just never know when it will hit me. The grief has begun to ease over the last year, but I can sure tell I have a long way to go.

Thanks for all of the support!

I survived the last two days! Thank goodness it's a slower week for our clients. I got home around 8 last night, but I did run a couple of errands after work for the office, and a couple for myself. We have finished Andrew's invitations and Jake and Randy stuffed the envelopes, stamped and sealed them, so they are ready to go! Randy also got the labels run out for our Christmas cards yesterday.

I was going to take today off, but with the two admins and Merrie out the past two days, there is a lot to go over. I'm going to get to cleaning my office (carpet cleaners come in on Friday), try to get everyone briefed, then leave before lunch to go to the movies with Randy and the boys.

Have a great day DDA! And for those not logging on again before turkey day,

Happy Thanksgiving!

That is wonderful, Elin. Which school is performing HSM?

I'm sorry, Elizabeth, but this drama is just too funny. Good luck! :wizard:
