a routine no she wants to be BF when ever she is awake aka human pacifier. the Jaundice looks like its almost gone but we still have the yellow seedy stools I know TMI.;) I will feel better when she weighs more then her birth weight hopefully that will happen when we see the dr on monday. Olivia is being a good helper but she also wants to hold her or kiss on her or hug on her all the time.:) I had to go up to work yesterday to sign some papers and the girls all wanted to hold Virginia well Olivia was giving them all dirty looks while they were holding Virginia can we say jealous of any one else holding her sister. She is fine with mawmaw holding her luckily.

Since the kids haven't asked for much for Christmas, even from Santa I am thinking of buying a Playstation 3 for them. It seems that the 40GB system is not backwards compatible which means that none of our current library of games would work in it. That leaves the 60GB or 80GB systems. They are both $499, but the 80GB also comes with a game :confused3 More memory and a game for the same price. I wish that I could find a better deal, but it seems that they are the same price everywhere. There is an offer running to get 5 free blue ray movies with purchase, but the titles are very limited. What to do, What to do?

My kids are the same, they haven't asked for much & I knew they all wanted the Wii so that & the games is what they are getting. It's cheaper than the PS3. Would that work or do you want the PS3 to use the older games too?

The Wii is $249 which isn't too bad. TRU is going to do (read this on the boards) B2G1 next week which is a great sale.

My family isn't interested in the Wii. They all want playstation 3. I'm still doing the big debate over the price. That is a lot of $$$. We have had 2 Playstation 2 consoles as the laser eye that reads the discs stops working after a while and it becomes cheaper to replace the whole console than it is to repair the old one. I keep hoping for a 10% off coupon somewhere that would work on the Console, but so far no luck. I'll have to check out the games

Bernadette,
Welcome home!!!!!!! Pictures so far are great as always.
That so stinks about JB, good thing you pressed the matter & called.:thumbsup2

Next time take me, I won't complain if you come in at 9pm!!!!!!!!!:rotfl: ;)

Well you may already know about this website but I get some good deal thru here...

Hi all... I feel like I fell off the face in regards to the goings on around here. I've tried to keep up but between not feeling 100%, running here there and everywhere and getting my house in some type of order for next week it's been hard. Oh and selling Girl Scout cookies. Emma had a week to sell them and we managed to sell about 50 boxes!! Her leader was shocked! I don't think it's a whole lot but Emma is excited about it. She is looking forward to doing a cookie booth sale Thanksgiving weekend also.

I did want to comment on a few things...

HAPPY BIRTHDAY JENNIFER!! :cake:

Bernadette- WOW!!! That castle pic is breathtaking! I so wish we were now going in December and not January. Sounds like a great trip even though there were a few bumps.

Jen-More hugs and :wizard: headed your way. You know my number if you need to chat!

Vicki- on DVC!!!!

We are anxiously awaiting Enchanted as well. I am taking Emma and her best friend as part of Emma's birthday present. Just need to find a time to squeeze it in.

I know I missed a bunch of you but 's and :wizard: all around.

I'm going to post a little rant here. It will make sense to some of you, and maybe not to others, but here goes. While at WDW in October the group of us combined efforts to mail 2 packages. Chanon and I bought prepaid USPS boxes at home with the proper postage. I called WDW ahead of time to find out how to mail the boxes. I was told to just drop them off at either the GF or CR Business Centers. Sounds easy right. Well it didn't work out so well, at least not yet. Chris and I took both of the boxes to the Contemporary Business Center on Oct. 21. The woman at the desk there took said boxes and commented that they don't handle USPS packages, but she would deliver them to the main desk. Fine. So off to AK we went. Fast Forward a few weeks. The recipients have not received the boxes. Both boxes had the recipients name as recipient and sender that way if there was a problem the box would be returned to sender and get there anyway, right?:confused3 I would think that people mail things home to themselves from WDW :confused3 So last week I started making phone calls. First the Contemporary Front Desk. They said it would go to lost and found, but Phyllis is out, call back next week. So today the calls began again. I tried the Main Lost and Found and they thought I was nuts. She told me to call the WDW mail center. Because prepaid boxes do not have tracking numbers they would have no record, but call the CR Business Center and make sure it actually left there. The business Center barely listens, doesn't look, but connects me with the Front Desk. They still have no idea and tries to connect me with Contemporary Lost and Found which is where Phyllis is located. Of course that is voicemail. So after many phone calls I still have no answers. Hopefully Phyllis will at least return my call. The Mail Center said that I should fill out missing package reports with the USPS so I guess I'll go that route tomorrow. How can 2 packages to different addresses just disappear? Ridiculous. So that is my rant. Morale of the story, bring things home or ship from the individual shops, not in prepaid USPS boxes.

I am finding it difficult to deal with not being there for the first time in 12 Christmases, frankly! I wish there was a way to work out a trip, even if it was just for me to go there for 24 hours, but it doesn't seem to be in the cards, both time-wise and financially right now. Kristin has reached that point in her studies and future planning where we have items like head shots (and the printing thereof) and travel for auditions and conventions and things like that. All of these are very expensive and I know that our money is best spent there and not in viewing the castle. ;)

As for not being here... I am reading along, but yes, I am busy at work. Getting Patrick ready to head to the NAMM Show in Anaheim in January is taking more time than I thought it would and my normal, day-to-day workload has increased because we are losing one of our staff members. I am absorbing quite a few of her students which means my lovely classes of 6-7 kids are now bursting at the seams with 9-10. More money in my pocket with every paycheck, but more work involved in that many students too. Holiday Open House last weekend and the Jazz Festival at the University this Saturday means no days off for over two weeks.

I am celebrating by going to Richmond Sunday morning to meet the girls for brunch and bead shopping at a phenomenal store! Then Kathrin and I are headed to see a first-rate touring company performance of "Cats" at the historic Landmark Theater.
landmark_photo_2.jpg

And then I am looking forward to having both the girls home for Thanksgiving, so there is an end in sight... I think! Thanks for asking, Lindsay. :goodvibes

  to you! I hope things slow down, or that you get some unanticipated relief in the coming weeks. Sounds like Sunday will be just what the doctor ordered. :goodvibes

Well it seems that I forgot poor Lindsay, sorry.

Seems that when I retyped my contact list, I left her off.

So if anyone snowballs ya Lindsay, you can throw it at me for forgetting you. :)

Don't you worry - someone took care of me before you even posted about it on here. :lmao:

Hi, Robyn! Tell Emma congrats on the cookie sales (I always hated doing them  ), and happy early b-day!

Hope you get some rest, too, and get back to feeling 100%. :wizard: :wizard:

Ugh, Deb. This is so frustrating, particularly when you guys did exactly what Disney told you to do! This is definitely good info. to have, as we'll have to ship some stuff home. I think I will definitely go somewhere off-site to do so after reading this.

I hope Phyllis will have some ideas. Let me know if there is anything I can do to help.

I went to my book group tonight and it was the 2nd month in a row where I have felt like the odd man out. Last month was because I am so much younger then the rest, this month because I have a very strong opinion on education and have first hand experience in MT. Oh, I was so torqued at a couple of the ladies misconceptions about rural schools and a very uneducated statement about Mormonisn. I was glad I had an out of Jim coming and getting me at 8:30.

Sorry your book group was not good! Believe me, I get those uneducated statements a lot!

Sorry Deb, I really hope the box's show up soon. This has me worried about shipping a box home in Dec. :sad2:

Hi Glynis,
how are you feeling. did you get your house back.:)

i sent you an email.:)

Hi, Jen! Thanks, I'm feeling much better. I didn't wake up coughing last night, so I'm thinking it's on it's way out! Hooray!!! I really didn't want bronchitis on top of Thanksgiving. I have reclaimed my house!!!!! Of course, that ill probably only last until the kids get home from school.

Right now, I'm compiling my Thanksgiving shopping list. We're splitting the meal with one of Alan's families, so I don't have to do the whole thing, thank goodness! I'll cook the turkey, stuffing, sweet potatoes and rolls, and she'll do mashed potatoes, gravy (with my turkey drippings), cranberry sauce, and a veggie. Should be good. I also have to make pies for our families annual Pie Night on Wednesday. So far, I'm committed to making my famous pecan pie (thinking of you, Heidi!), key lime pie, and toasted coconut pie. Jacob wants to make an eggnog pumpkin pie, and Katie will make either a derby pie, or hello dolly pie. So, if you don't see me a lot next week, you'll know what I'm up to!

Just wanted to say that I received my ornament exchange! Thank you so much, Karen!!! I love everything. She sent me a darling Mickey and Minnie under the mistletoe ornament, a "magic" washcloth, which Leslie already claimed, and the best, warmest fleece blanket ever!!! It's got Minnie all over it, and I love it! I have to confess that I didn't fight Leslie too hard over the washcloth, since I really wanted to keep the blanket for myself! I'm wrapped up in it, as we speak, and it's so wonderful!!!!

Thank you, thank you, thank you!!! I'll try to get pictures posted soon!!

By the way, I have everything gathered for my ornament exchange packages, and they will be going out tomorrow!!!

ok i'm all caught up again and tomorrow's friday so you all know what that means lol .. i'll be left in the dust again come monday lol. Right now i'm off to argue with the insurance company. They're claiming RJ wasn't covered when he broke his leg. so i'm now getting bills from the hospital ER as well as the Ortho. I decided to ask if the rest of us are "still covered". There's no problem with M&M or Butch, but apparently I'm not covered either.. so i'll be getting a bill from my OB one of these days as well .. they're still not sure what happened to remove RJ and I from the plan but "they're working to get it resolved" uggghhh do they not know that stress and pregnant women don't go well together .. I'm thinking i'll give them a call today and if i don't hear what i want to hear tomorrow the water works will come on in a wave and if that doesn't work .. hormones will be unleashed lol .. Talk to you all soon. I hope everyone's feeling better blanket's of :wizard: :wizard: :grouphug: :grouphug:
:wizard: Good luck with the insurance company!

Welcome home Bernadette.
Thanks!

That is a breathtaking photo, Bernadette, and probably the best one I've seen (no surprise there ;) )! Admittedly, I always get a bit nervous when they start messing with the castle, but this really is spectacular. I can't wait to see it in 2 weeks! :yay: :yay:
Thanks! You'll love it!

Latest on Rees:

November 15, 2007 at 12:25 PM EST
Rees is out of surgery and back in the room. Dr. Wulkan did not find anything else wrong, which he was a little surprised about. He had been hoping (and so were we) that there was another reason for the blockage. So, all the problems are due to excessive swelling of the Esophagus. Rees now has a Mic-Key button (appropriate for this house of Disney lovers!). He can have nothing by mouth for 24 hours and is on the TPN (IV feeds). They have a bag attached to the g-tube to drain any excess stomach contents until then. He is getting pain meds (is doing great!) around the clock. Dr. Wulkan said they would start tube feeds tomorrow, and we should be here about 2 more days after that. We are very hopeful we'll be home on Sunday. Our only concern is the first time Rees had a feeding tube (at 11 months) he couldn't tolerate the feeds. He was in Scottish Rite for almost 3 additional weeks trying to find the right combination of food and rate. Please pray it is an easy transition this time.

Thank you all so much for the support you have shown our family over the past few weeks. We truly have so very much to be thankful for this Thanksgiving. We can't wait to get Rees home and enjoy the holiday season!
Thanks for the update. Continued prayers for Rees!

I forgot earlier,:welcome: home Bernadette. Your picture was beautiful. I was watching the video Tia posted earlier and i got goose bumps as the "ice" was formaing all over the castle. I'm glad you girls had a good time ( for the most part) and I hope you're both feeling better fast.
Thanks! I'm still shaking my cold as is Emma who started this whole round of illness. Joe & my DH have it now too. So far Lizzy only had a very mild cold before we went to Disney. Hopefully she won't get it again.

I am celebrating by going to Richmond Sunday morning to meet the girls for brunch and bead shopping at a phenomenal store! Then Kathrin and I are headed to see a first-rate touring company performance of "Cats" at the historic Landmark Theater.

That sounds like a fun day!

welcome home Bernaette I hope you both start feeling better fast. glad you girls enjoyed your trip i love the picture of the castle.
Thanks!

TRU is going to do (read this on the boards) B2G1 next week which is a great sale.
Thanks for posting that. I'm sure it will be all games so I'll have to take a look at the DS games.

Bernadette,
Welcome home!!!!!!! Pictures so far are great as always.
That so stinks about JB, good thing you pressed the matter & called.:thumbsup2

Next time take me, I won't complain if you come in at 9pm!!!!!!!!!:rotfl: ;)
Thanks! JB actually sent me an email today about getting the credit so they would have given it even if I didn't call. I guess it was just the Orlando agents that were being snarky. I am going to still write to JB about their rudeness. I'm just waiting for Ralph to verify their names as he wrote them down.

I'm sure I could travel very well with you. I think you would let me watch Wishes more than once in a trip, stay out past 9pm and see the Tigers in Asia even though I had seen them on my trip last December.;)

Congrats to Emma on the cookie sales! Hope you're feeling better soon.

Thanks for the compliments on the photo.

Ugh, Deb. This is so frustrating, particularly when you guys did exactly what Disney told you to do! This is definitely good info. to have, as we'll have to ship some stuff home. I think I will definitely go somewhere off-site to do so after reading this.
I have had no problems paying Disney to ship a package home to me via UPS if you don't want to go offsite. I thought I was smart last August bringing UPS labels with my corporate charge back number but then UPS charged me an extra $5/box to "pick up" at the resort AND and extra $5/box to deliver it to my house. An extra $20 in "extra fees". It would have been cheaper to pay Disney to mail them which is what I'll do next year.

Deb-hope you find your boxes!!!

I've to run home and go to a Girlscout thing. They are baking cookies for a charity event. It is nasty out there-hope the rain stops for a few minutes for me to get to my car.

Elizabeth, I couldn't resist.

Glad to hear that princess took another nap, and that her mother backed you up.

Well, the booster nap was not such a good thing since she wouldn't go to sleep last night! But she really needed more rest. I'll try not to do that in the future, but she is shouting at me and biting herself I think another nap is necessary!

Did ya all get my pm? :lmao:

Thank you, Heidi and Elin for the snowballs!:)

Sorry Deb, I really hope the box's show up soon. This has me worried about shipping a box home in Dec. :sad2:

I hope somebody has some answers! Good luck!
The only time I ever shipped to or from a resort was one year when I conducted a workshop at Nanny Conference. My boxes were OPEN when I got them so I was not happy. I was told it was because they figured I wouldn't have a box cutter. Luckily it was just seminar materials or I would have been screaming at somebody.

I had a VERY interesting visit to my Disney Store today! Somebody returned a Mickey Mouse watch they bought at WDW. It was marked $65. BUT the girls told me returns from the parks are sold at 50% off the marked price. AND I had a coupon from Disney Visa for 20% off. So I got a watch for about $28. I need to see if I can find a pic.
