Chanon,

I got a package today from you- was it one of the missing ones?

I have a question though, is it for me or one of the girls?!?!

Regardless I love the ornament!!!:goodvibes The nightlight and hairclips though I'm thinking aren't for me!!;)

And my girls love the packing material!!! :thumbsup2 Molly is insistent that we go far far away like the map says and Emma just found her cousin's town on the map of Michigan!!!

Hi, Jen! Thanks, I'm feeling much better. I didn't wake up coughing last night, so I'm thinking it's on it's way out! Hooray!!! I really didn't want bronchitis on top of Thanksgiving. I have reclaimed my house!!!!! Of course, that ill probably only last until the kids get home from school.

Right now, I'm compiling my Thanksgiving shopping list. We're splitting the meal with one of Alan's families, so I don't have to do the whole thing, thank goodness! I'll cook the turkey, stuffing, sweet potatoes and rolls, and she'll do mashed potatoes, gravy (with my turkey drippings), cranberry sauce, and a veggie. Should be good. I also have to make pies for our families annual Pie Night on Wednesday. So far, I'm committed to making my famous pecan pie (thinking of you, Heidi!), key lime pie, and toasted coconut pie. Jacob wants to make an eggnog pumpkin pie, and Katie will make either a derby pie, or hello dolly pie. So, if you don't see me a lot next week, you'll know what I'm up to!

what is a hello dolly pie.

I am attempting to make an apple pie for thanksgiving. we will go to my moms and my DFIL will be coming up as well. Olivia is excited to see her Opa

I'm going to post a little rant here.
Oh that stinks!!! I hope they can locate the packages soon.

Could you post the key lime pie recipe??? TY!

I'm sure I could travel very well with you. I think you would let me watch Wishes more than once in a trip, stay out past 9pm and see the Tigers in Asia even though I had seen them on my trip last December.;)
Oh yea! I catch as many evening fireworks I can fit it!! Glad you had a great trip anyway! Lizzie's picture in front of the castle is beautiful!

I had a VERY interesting visit to my Disney Store today! Somebody returned a Mickey Mouse watch they bought at WDW. It was marked $65. BUT the girls told me returns from the parks are sold at 50% off the marked price. AND I had a coupon from Disney Visa for 20% off. So I got a watch for about $28. I need to see if I can find a pic.
Very good deal!!!!!!

Thank you for all of the birthday wishes! I had a great day until about noon, when I had a horrendous day at work that had me home early and sobbing. I'm off to do a little more wallowing, and then try and pull myself together to at least have a nice dinner with my husband. Everything else will pass...

Thanks again, for trying to make this day special!

Sorry your book group was not good! Believe me, I get those uneducated statements a lot!

I am sure you do...you were my comeback to them:

One of my best friend's is one of the most educated women I know...just because you have heard one thing about one SECT of Mormonism don't make a blanket statement. There are many crazy sects of every religion. (this was just a bit of what I said...it wasn't even a book that had anything to do with religion or education)

When I left there were 3 ladies holding hands over their mouths so that they didn't have to hear my comebacks I had ready:rotfl2: Don't ever mess with me when I have an opinion on something:lmao:

My volunteer this morning said it went downhill after I left. :sad2:

I have had no problems paying Disney to ship a package home to me via UPS if you don't want to go offsite. I thought I was smart last August bringing UPS labels with my corporate charge back number but then UPS charged me an extra $5/box to "pick up" at the resort AND and extra $5/box to deliver it to my house. An extra $20 in "extra fees". It would have been cheaper to pay Disney to mail them which is what I'll do next year.

More good info. to Have - I had thought of bringing my own UPS labels with my corporate account, and knowing this I will now definitely not. Thanks for sharing!

Well, the booster nap was not such a good thing since she wouldn't go to sleep last night! But she really needed more rest. I'll try not to do that in the future, but she is shouting at me and biting herself I think another nap is necessary!

Cool find on the MM watch! Can't wait to see a pic!

This is such a HANDY quote, Bernadette!:thumbsup2
:wizard: Good luck with the insurance company!

Yes, Heather, good luck with the insurance! I got a statement from insurance yesterday for the lab work from my annual. $330 to process a pap smear! It only cost us $18, but that would have rendered me unconscious if I had to pay for it all OOP!

Thanks! You'll love it!

Of course your pics are always amazing, Bernadette. DH should be sad that he didn't take me up on my very generous offer to buy him a camera like yours.

Thanks for the update. Continued prayers for Rees!

More good wishes for Rees!!:wizard:

Thanks! I'm still shaking my cold as is Emma who started this whole round of illness. Joe & my DH have it now too. So far Lizzy only had a very mild cold before we went to Disney. Hopefully she won't get it again.

Feel better soon, Bernadette, Emma, & Co!

Thanks for posting that. I'm sure it will be all games so I'll have to take a look at the DS games.

I might have to look into this as well!

Thanks! JB actually sent me an email today about getting the credit so they would have given it even if I didn't call. I guess it was just the Orlando agents that were being snarky. I am going to still write to JB about their rudeness. I'm just waiting for Ralph to verify their names as he wrote them down.

I would still contact them, too. ESPECIALLY since you were correct and they were wrong.

I'm sure I could travel very well with you. I think you would let me watch Wishes more than once in a trip, stay out past 9pm and see the Tigers in Asia even though I had seen them on my trip last December.;)

DH thought your friends were being totally unreasonable. I have only seen the tigers once. I would LIKE to see them again!

Congrats to Emma on the cookie sales! Hope you're feeling better soon.

Feel better, Robyn! I think selling 50 of ANYTHING is pretty remarkable!:)

I've to run home and go to a Girlscout thing. They are baking cookies for a charity event. It is nasty out there-hope the rain stops for a few minutes for me to get to my car.

Drive safely!

I hope your day improves!

I am quite pleased with my new watch but I can't find a pic of it anywhere. It is gold/silvertone links for the band, round face, white background w/ classic Mickey, black numbers. Nothing fancy, but a cute little watch.

Good luck with your shipping!
NOBODY bites me. A former charge had developmental delays and he was a biter. I am very good at deflecting bites.;)
No pics.:guilty: I guess I can try to take a pic when I get home. BUT I haven't told DH I bought a watch, so that might be tricky.:rolleyes1

Nope! That was for the ornament exchange! I'm glad to hear that the girls love the MAPS! Next time I'll just put more maps in there and less nightlight and hairclips! :rotfl:

Can I give a reminder to everybody that our exchanges should be in the mail by this weekend so that the recipients have it by Thanksgiving?

We were able to pick out ornaments for the girls exchanges but I just can't find the right one for mine...I will try again tonight before Abi's first middle school band concert.

Sorry work was so bad.
Hope things are better now. pixiedust:

Wow! That doesn't sound good AT ALL. I hope they get it all worked out! I guess I just don't see how there could be a discrepancy when she has ALL of that paperwork! She says she has the printout from the WDW site saying $0 balance due, so how can CRO argue that it's not paid?:confused3 I would absolutely show up at WDW, and I would keep going higher up the food chain until somebody honored my ressies. No way would I sit home to fight with them.

Warning about a movie that is coming out. If anyone is an atheist, this is not a criticism of that. My concern is that they are trying to market this to children under false pretenses.

Get the word out!!!!

THE GOLDEN COMPASS, a new movie targeted at children, will be released December 7, 2007. This movie is based on a the first book of a trilogy by atheist Philip Pullman. In the final book a boy and girl kill God so they can do as they please. Pullman left little doubt about his intentions when he said in a 2003 interview that 'My books are about killing God.'

The movie is a watered down version of the first book and is designed to be very attractive in the hope unsuspecting parents will take their children to see the movie and that the children will want the books for Christmas.

The movie has a well known cast, including Nicole Kidman, Kevin Bacon, and Sam Elliott. It will probably be advertised extensively, so it is crucial that we get the word out to warn parents to avoid this movie.

You can research this for yourself. Start with this article on Snopes.com, then go to Google.

Ouch

What a cutie. I'm glad that she found a new friend. I really miss having dogs, but I know that our current lifestyle wouldn't be fair for a dog. Maybe someday.

Mya is our last dog for that very reason. I love having her and she definitely is a lap dog. I missed having a dog at home to greet me the 1-1/2 that we waited to replace Sasha. She is bigger and heavier than Sasha so that has been interesting. However, once Becky goes off to college, I'm worried Mya won't get the attention she deserves.

Vickie, this is what i found when i was tying to figure out what rides the kids might be able to go on next year. I hope it's helpful http://adisneyworld.disney.go.com/m...nontheme/experience/preschool/heightChart.pdf

That is awesome! Thanks so much. It is exactly what I need. As Elizabeth pointed out, it is just Indy Speedway at the parks. However, we are planning time at Disney Quest and there are some limitations there that I can make sure she is aware of before we get there.
