I figured it was time for me to start posting to this thread since i have been posting my designs lol. Hi everyone I am Crystal.

 Hi, Crystal! I have seen your designs, and they are great! I also (used to) design, but I haven't been able to be around much lately. I hope that I can work more in again, though.

Tom those are adorable, but tell me.....Is your house decorated already for Christmas?

Please tell, although it would make me feel even more behind then I already feel. I do love the outfit!!

Let me see if I can remember even half of what I read over the weekend.

Denise- More 's and :wizard: for Rees and all the Figs!

Tammi-'s If nothing else, I am glad that we are an escape from all the stuff happening in real life.

Crystal- Welcome, I'm Robyn, SAHM to Emma-7 (soon to be 8  ), Molly-3 and Lucy- 4months. My DH is Eric. I watch 2 little boys, 3 and 1 1/2, M-F that are family friends. I also watch a 1st grade girl after school. You're designs are terrific.

Anne Marie- Sorry about the Little Mermaid but way to go for having a wonderful day in the city. Sounded perfect!

Vicki- Hope the DVC works out for you!!!

Marci- Yay for a slow week! We have one too and I am very excited!

Really I did read when I had a chance but I can't remember diddly. 's and :wizard: all around.

Speaking of hot drinks...

I saw this special on the history of tea on the History Channel so I thought I would start trying to drink more tea. I bought a variety box of herbal tea. The berry one isn't bad, but it is kind of weird to drink it hot. The mint one isn't "minty" enough for me. The chamomile smells funky so I have to hold me breath to drink it. The lemon one is like spraying a bunch of lemon Pledge in a cup and drinking it. Now I am thinking there is a VERY good reason that I drink coffee!:rotfl2:

The problem is the tea was cheap. Cheap coffee gags me, too.

I love tea! I prefer real teas (flavored or not) to herbal ones, but there are some herbal ones that I like, too. I can't drink chamomile, because it seems to affect my allergies, but I don't really like it anyway. ;) If you want to try something that isn't expensive, try the Celestial Seasonings Green teas. Or maybe you just don't like tea. Dh thinks green tea is kind of like grass clippings. :rotfl:

Elizabeth, you need a good English tea. Twinings English or Irish Breakfast is very good.

Yum!! Twinings Irish Breakfast is one of my favorites! I haven't had that in a while. Their Earl Grey is very good, too, but that is a taste that not everyone likes.

That is a show that I don't know if I have ever watched all the way through. As a kid, I'd close my eyes and cover my ears through most of it. The flying monkeys terrified me. I still don't really care to watch the whole show.

There were other Disney movies that I did the same thing with. We'd go to the drive-in and I'd hide behind the seat. It used to drive my parents crazy. I still have trouble watching many shows. I get an upset stomach when bad things happen. No matter how much I convince my self it is stupid, it still doesn't go away.

That's something that we have in common. I think I just get too "into" movies, tv shows, and books.

Well, I didn't get too far, but it's time to end my P3 for now.

Have a great rest of the day, DDA!

Happy Monday, DDA!

I'm still 10 pages behind (wasn't able to get on at all this weekend), but wanted to comment on a few things...

I know I missed you, but I hope you're having a fabulous time, Debbie!

Jennifer - I've used Deep Discount many times! Make sure you use the code that's up on Mousesavers right now for an additional 20% off. Can't beat the free shipping and no taxes - just give yourself a week or so for the shipping.

Vicki - :yay: for more DVC discussions! I do still have that spreadsheet that one of the moderators over on the DVC board sent me when we were considering purchasing. It's based on SSR back in 2005, but you can change the information in all the fields to reflect current pricing.

I think Deb and I have the same DVC guide, although I've never actually met him. We actually met with another woman when we took our quick trip to buy since he was out of town - she was fantastic! I actually would have preferred to have her as my guide, but she couldn't do that since she was just helping him out. So, if you end up talking to the guy Deb and I have and for whatever reason don't hit it off with him, I can PM you this other guide's name to ask for. :goodvibes

You guys definitely need to take the tour if you go in December!

Well, I'm caught up! Thanks for keeping it down to a dull roar this weekend. Unfortunately, it was too much to do, and not enough time to do it, so I self-imposed a ban on DISing this weekend!

Tammi -  as you deal with xDH2b. He sounds like a real horse's you-know-what...and delusional to boot! I hope you have a wonderful attorney, and a great judge that will send his requests packing. Good luck with the Christmas stuff! Yay for Thanksgiving. :goodvibes

Vicki - well, it seems like things are progressing along nicely on the DVC front. :rotfl: Unfortunately, I don't have the spreadsheet on my computer here at work. You could trying PM'ing JimC (one of the mods on the DVC board) - it's his spreadsheet.

Let us know if you have other questions. If you'd like, I could call Member Services for you just to see what the availability looks like for all your dates next year. Just let me know!

Anne Marie - so sorry to hear about the show, but it sounds like you guys made lemonade out of lemons! Hopefully you can get tickets to the show again sometime very soon!

Denise - still praying for Rees and your family. :wizard: :wizard: :wizard:

Well, I need to go get motivated to try to get something done here at the office. I so could have used another day off. :sad2: Those lucky government employees!

I am back from Target for the SECOND time this morning.

They charged me the wrong price for the Tide I bought yesterday so I took it back. I figured it was because it was the one with Downy added, which was not the one I wanted anyway. I grabbed the wrong bottle.
I got the right one today, the tag on the shelf said $10.09. Bought one for me, one for my bosses. Got all the way back to work and looked at the receipts - $12.89 each!:headache:

Drove BACK to Target and told the girl at the refund desk that I was getting angry. She apologized and gave back my $3 on each bottle. On my way out I saw a manager so I approached him and told him the problem. He was very nice and thanked me for letting him know about the error. He walked over to the aisle to look at the signs, then he gave me a bottle of Tide for free!:) Good service.:thumbsup2

I bought DS a Nightmare Before Christmas game for his Game Boy. It was on clearance, and I always buy him a game before we go to WDW so he has something new for the plane. Speaking of which...
This morning he said "Disney was so magical when we went last December." Then he gave me that LOOK again! I still can't work out if he knows we are going or if he just wants to go and is trying to talk me into it. I said "Don't you think Disney is magical in August?" He said it is, especially for 16 days. And that was then end of the conversation.:confused3

Elizabeth, I think he knows. ::yes::

Were you logged in one day and for some reason had to leave the computer? Its possible that he may have been curious and looked at the screen and saw the count down tickers.

I finally watched Meet the Robinsons. Very good, I'm glad that I bought it.

No telling.:confused3 When DH and I first, first started planning it wasn't a secret. Then I realized it would be better if DS didn't know so we stopped talking about it. I figured if we didn't mention it again he would figure we weren't going. I had a trip booked for June to do Star Wars weekend but airfare was too high so we didn't go - I thought maybe he would think it was like that. I guess if he knows he won't be surprised when it is time to leave!:rotfl2: On the off chance that he doesn't know and he has just been "fishing" I am still going to continue on pretending that we aren't going.;)

Glad you liked Meet the Robinsons!:)

thanks Lindsay. I am actually going thru sunshine rewards as I will get 1% back and they have a 20% off code on their site. I heard about them on the budget board. Thats fine on the shipping as they are Christmas presents my mom is getting the grandkids. 2 movies each. We have Mulan on VHS but Olivia is getting both for Christmas, 2 little einstein videos for DN and 2 Baby einsteins for Virginia.

caught up.

I need to go to the grocery store then we will go over to my moms as my DN will be their after 2pm.:yay:

Is it possible because you stopped talking about it and didn't officially say you weren't going, that he is suspicious. I'm just thinking that on the Star Wars week-end, you probably don't him why you weren't going. If you just dropped it without any reasons, that might be the reason for the suspicion now.

Vicki - I can't remember now what we said before. I don't know if he knew the dates, etc. or not. It's possible that DH and I have said something recently, either without thinking or without realizing he was within earshot. Or he may just figure that if the uncles are going we MUST be going, too. Really, since he is just kind of hinting around and playing head games with me I can't think of a good way to determine what he knows!:rotfl2:

Vicki I called Scot MacDonald this morning and he said that you had already called :lmao: :thumbsup2 So what was the final decision? He really seemed to enjoy talking to you and knew EXACTLY who I was talking about without ever needing to identify you ;)

My living room is a work in progress right now. I just assembled a new entertainment center/table. Now I need to declutter the old one and move the equipment from one to another.

I'm putting our monthly/yearly budget info together so Chuck can see in writing that we have the money to afford this. I have to get the final info on the Disney Visa $500 rewards points to make sure that happens. I also need to pay off my Disney Visa (it isn't due for a couple weeks) so I have room for the downpayment.

I'll be calling Scott back later today or tomorrow and will be a DVC member within the next 7-10 days. He verified that all the info I was basing our decision on was correct. He verified the monthly payment I had estimated. The only new thing I have left to ask him if I can get a Feb. UY instead of a June UY. That's not a deal breaker but would make much better sense for us. Our week-long trip is always the end of February or beginning of March. If we can't do this, then I'll have to borrow points from June 2009 for our March 2009 trip.

Maintenance fees are going up for SSR to $4.21 on January 1 which is also doable for us.
