I'm putting our monthly/yearly budget info together so Chuck can see in writing that we have the money to afford this. I have to get the final info on the Disney Visa $500 rewards points to make sure that happens. I also need to pay off my Disney Visa (it isn't due for a couple weeks) so I have room for the downpayment.

I'll be calling Scott back later today or tomorrow and will be a DVC member within the next 7-10 days. He verified that all the info I was basing our decision on was correct. He verified the monthly payment I had estimated. The only new thing I have left to ask him if I can get a Feb. UY instead of a June UY. That's not a deal breaker but would make much better sense for us. Our week-long trip is always the end of February or beginning of March. If we can't do this, then I'll have to borrow points from June 2009 for our March 2009 trip.

Maintenance fees are going up for SSR to $4.21 on January 1 which is also doable for us.

It sounds like you have everything in place. Just a few hours and you'll be able to book. Scot said you could book today

Lindsay was a sweetheart and when she was on with DVC this morning checking on her reservations, she checked availability at OKW for Dec. 13-17. There is nothing available anywhere on the 13th. But OKW is open for Dec. 14-17. The flight is cheaper so I may see if OKW has room Dec. 14-18 instead. I may actually be "Going Home" in December. :woohoo:  :dance3: :yay:

Sounds like you have a plan :thumbsup2 I'm so excited for you. We had to wait 18 months before our first trip home and you may make your first trip home before you sign the final papers :goodvibes

hi everyone-
Just got home--went to the dr after work and have another sinus infection--i give up--cant get rid of these things!

We will be calling hospice this week for grandpa--just wanted to keep ypu updated

Jen :wizard:  Is there anyway they can figure out what is causing all these infections? Being on antibiotics all the time can't be good. I there any tests that they can run?

Hospice is a good choice. We were very pleased with the people we had here to help my Grandmother. They were very willing to help the family as well as my Grandmother in all of our decision making.

Work this evening was BORING. There was a good 2 hours where I had NO cutomers. This time of year is notoriously slow so it is expected, but still disappointing. The good news is that I have this weekend off and a 5 day weekend for Thanksgiving. Since I'm not making much money working this time of year anyway I might as well take advantage and take a few extra days off. :thumbsup2

I got the entertainment center built and most of the electronics hooked up. Chris put the TV together and did the final connections. We now have a 46" TV with digital cable. The thing is huge and has great picture/sound. Anyone considering purchasing it at Sears on Black Friday It is a good choice :thumbsup2

We have a Walgreens. I don't know when I will get there, but when I do I will check out the lights. I see that Kmart has some stuffed Christmas Mickey's and Minnies and a Light up wire framed Mickey too.

I so agree with these so I am going to ditto and add a few

Bernadette,

I got my package on Saturday. Thank you so much. :goodvibes
I will post pictures this weekend.

Jen,:grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug:

I remember when Stephanie's mom was in hospice. They took care of everything. The place was beautiful. If her mom had wanted, they would have rolled her bed outside. That was how very nice the place was.

I also remember the night at the drive-in. Hal and I went out for supper and were planning to meet Stephanie and her mom. We were coming in the drive-in just about the time that a few people had complained to the owner that Stephanie was 'holding' a spot. We got there just in time!!! we then discovered that my other kids were there too. We all watched Men in Black.

I can still remember her mom laughing thru the whole movie. She was in her glory all wrapped up in a blanket with the top down. :goodvibes

Are you feeling better Theresa? How's the writing going?

I am doing better...both girls stayed home from school today...it was dad's turn to stay with them. Abi had what I did and Cassidy just has had a cold for 3 weeks so I thought give her a day to kick it finally.

I didn't get as far as I wanted because we had a 4 hour band banquet Friday(this was a ridiculous amount of snooze time), a casino bus fundraiser Saturday(we had a great time and the money we spent to go up went straight into the band's coffers) and a 3 hour work commitment Sunday. I am a little stuck...trying to decide if this is heading toward chick lit or just plain fiction.

Thanks for asking...I sure am wordy ain't I???;)

Welcome Crystal. I am Theresa, one of the ones on this thread that doesn't design. I am mom to Cassidy,15, and Abi, 11. I've been married to Jim for 16 and 1/2 years and am currently for a different job as I am reminded daily why I don't like my current one. (I also type ALOT:lmao:)

Tammi- I spent all but one Christmas mornings with my mom and just my mom after my parents got divorced so it can be done. I am almost 100% certain though that your slime of an ex isn't anywhere as close to as slimy as my dad but I know that your kids will do better if they have the consistency of having Christmas morning with you. Fight with him, vent here, and we are always behind you 100%!!!

I just got home from having seen the Marine Band. They actually came to Lancaster and played at a local High School. They even had the tracker lights outside. You could not get lost finding the place :lmao:
The place was packed when Stephanie and I got there. The one guy said there was standing room only. When we got inside, another guy said there were seats up front. They had put regular class room chairs in front. Well, they were seats and they were in front. So Stephanie and I sat right in front. The concert was fantastic. I have seen the Marine Band probably about 15 times now. A few times in Baltimore in the Meyerhoffer Music Hall. That place is unbelievable. The acoustics are awesome. Hal and I have also seen the band perform at Kennedy Center when Reagan was president. We have also seen them in their Evening Parade performed in DC at their barracks.
The last time was about 12 years ago.

I was very happy to see that almost half of the band members are female. The announcer/soloist is female. And the best, the assistant director is female. Things have really changed in 12 years.

This was a very delightful evening.

I'll be heading to our Dollar Tree again tomorrow. I'll see if they have any more left.

I found some tonight! Yay!! No more driving all over town. I have also now found the Dollar Tree I will hit up for anything - it is HUGE, and is actually in a decent part of town (not what I can say for many of them). And, I now have all the window clings I need. :goodvibes

(Elizabeth and Marci - for reference, it's up in my neck of the woods - off of W. 15th St., just before the intersection with Alma, west of 75. On the left in a shopping center next to Hobby Lobby.)

Now, if I could just find an over-the-door shoe organizer....everyone swears you can find one at the dollar stores, but I have yet to. I'll go without on the cruise before I pay $20 for one at Bed Bath and Beyond. If you have any ideas of where I could find one, let me know!

Jen - I'm so sorry on both accounts. :wizard: :wizard:

It's hard, but hopsice is the absolute BEST. We used hospice for 2 of my grandparents, and they were so wonderful. Jonathan actually used to do bereavement counseling with one of ours locally - they do such a good thing for families and patients.

How did you do that?

I'm able to mail things at my office. So, it left my hands today, and I consider that mailed. ;) I imagine it will go out with the first mail run tomorrow morning!

Sorry that tonight was lame, Deb. Sounds like a couple of nights off would do you good on a lot of fronts!

BTW, my parents are making plans with a group of their friends to come see the fall colors next year. They're planning 2 nights in Vermont. You'll have to tell me the name of your restaurant and location, so I can pass it along to them. I told them I had a DIS friend that lived in Vermont. They are all good tippers! :thumbsup2

Hope you guys all get well once and for all! Keep trucking on that novel - so exciting! :goodvibes

That sounds really neat, Terry. Glad you guys had a good time!

Well, I have an early meeting in the a.m. I don't feel like I accomplished that much tonight (had some unexpected errands come up that I had to attend to  ), but I'm also getting worried that I'm starting to wear myself down, so maybe a decent night's sleep would do me good.

Sleep tight, DDA! :wizard: :wizard:

(And Denise - just saw the updates on Rees. I am praying that the feeding tube helps, and that it is just swelling. Health and care to all of you. :wizard: :wizard: :wizard: :wizard: )

Vicki, soon it will be :welcome: home!!!I know you will love your purchase!!

Men in Black!!!!:dance3: :dance3: :dance3: I swear that is why my son has the pug for my granddog.pug: His dog had to look like was it Frank??:dance3:

I know this is going to sound strange, but after Mom got to Hospice, she lingered for a few days just to enjoy her enviorment. It was so lovely and peaceful. I could sleep there, had a place to shower, had a place to have breakfast, 24/7 coffee, snacks. Stuff for Mom. Anything she wanted. Anything she needed. I really need to take her to Disney. Maybe I can take her Friday while I'm waiting for the family. Do a little Shawshank Redemption around the countries and in all the plants. She'd finally experience Illuminations.....

Was that fun, or was THAT FUN!!!!:dance3: :goofy: :mickeyjum :smickey: :hmghost:

OK, off to bed. I have to get up and be out of here by 7:30. This is going to be fun. I'm usually just rolling out of the bed at 8:00. Now I'm supposed to be awake, drop my DGD off at school and be at work by 8:00am.

Nitey, nite

We have 2 Walgreen's here & I am planning on going tomorrow to check out the lights. Here is a picture from the ad:

These sinus infections are a pain. I stayed home on Friday cause I was feeling a sinus infection hitting me. I slept all weekend. I felt better today until the guy drilling in the bathroom kept drilling and drilling. Thank goodness he stopped so the preschool kids could nap at 1:30. We walked out into the vestibule and you could see a dust haze from the drilling. Plus the noise was awful too. We get to experience this all again tomorrow. :lmao:

Yes the pug was named Frank. I just love that dog. But I love your grandpug too. She is a sweetie.

Your mom would love Illuminations.

Okay, I am having a hard time seeing you up at 7:30am unless it is for Disney:lmao: :lmao: :rotfl: That means I had better be on time!!!!!!:goodvibes
