Elizabeth, Happy Anniversary.

Thanks, Heidi!

Elizabeth good luck with the DING and HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!!!

Bernadette have a great trip!!!

My dentist appointment went well. I asked about whitening my teeth. Because of the calcified front tooth I would need 2 venieers in the front plus the whitening treatments to the tune of $2100. I guess I'll just have to get used to my less than perfect smile. That price is nearly a trip to WDW for crying out loud :rotfl:

Thanks, Deb!
YIKES! $2100 of cosmetic work would make me think twice, too.
My teeth have been really sensitive lately so I am glad I didn't try to have them bleached.

Wow, Robyn. She is changing so much. This is my favorite. :goodvibes

Mine too!

I'm glad Lucy is doing better, Robyn. Yay for a Girl Scout troop for Emma!

Thanks, Lindsay. Emma is very excited about scouts.

nope still have it. Virginia decided to wake up at 1 and not really go back to sleep till 430. we saw the dr on monday. she weighed 6lb 12oz so not back to birth weight yet. we go back in 2 weeks for another weight check.

Sorry, I hope it lessens a little. Are they concerned with her weight? My cousins little girl weighed in on Friday at 11lbs 11oz at 2 weeks.

She is just precious, Robyn. Could this be described as an impish grin? ;)

Aw, thanks. ::yes:: I can just picture the devil in her!

I hope everyone is having good days. I feel like a zombie (this getting 4-5 hours of sleep each night is getting old), but I completed half of one of my big projects for our trip last night. I made my nieces' autograph books! (I still have to personalize/print the cards, but the actual book was what I was dreading doing the most.) I am not at all crafty (I have the ideas in my head, but my hands usually can never cooperate), so I was scared to death to do these. This is when I wish my mom lived close by, as she's terrific at that stuff. However, I don't think they came out too bad. If I can remember, I'll try to post pics of them tonight. One of tonight's tasks will hopefully be to print out all the cards - once that's done, I think I will feel like a huge weight has lifted on that front. :thumbsup2

Chat with ya later!

Hope you start sleeping better.

I can't wait to see pics of the books. I really should make a book for the girls.

 those are very cute

Thanks Jennifer

Glad you found a troop for Emma. Lizzy loves scouts.

SO BEAUTIFUL!!!!!

From what I've heard the troop is very active so this will be good for Emma. Not so much for me. Thanks!

This is so well said in response to Jennifer, that I am quoting you, Glynis.

Attendance requirements have become so dictatorial that they are now absurd. Instead of attempting to force families to have their children there all 180 days the school systems need to do something more encouraging like teach those same children. Teaching to state-mandated tests does not make for a well-educated person. It only makes for someone who hates school and has no cognitive assessment abilities!

Off one of my current soapboxes.... :goodvibes I return you to your regularly scheduled DDA forum.

Emma had to take some standardized tests the beginning of October and at back to school night a lot of the parents were complaining that the kids wouldn't know enough to do well on the tests. The teachers said that they will use the results to prepare the 1st graders next year. :headache:

Good afternoon, DDA! :sunny:

Loved Lucy's new pictures, Robyn!

Lindsay - I am glad you got a huge project out of the way. I can't wait to see pictures!

Thanks Elin!

Robyn, just looking at Lucy's little face makes me smile.:goodvibes She is so sweet!

Princess went to school today - she seems to feel fine. I bought her one of those new PediaCare plug-in vapor things (like an air freshener but with vapors like Vicks to help with congestion). Dadboss said it was amazing - she slept great last night.

I met DH for breakfast. Today is our 15th anniversary.:)

I mailed DS's exchange ornament today. Postage rates are insane! I practically could have driven it up there myself for what they charge! (OK, not quite, but close.) And the lines are so long that you almost don't care how much postage is as long as you can LEAVE after you pay it!:rotfl2:

I also finally mailed my life insurance forms. I got an e-mail that they have made a decision on DH but we haven't gotten that back yet. How lame is that? They e-mail you that they have made a decision and then the actual decision comes snail mail. Now we get to wait for them to get my forms, review them, and decide if they will cover me. Being a grown up is boring.:coffee:

Happy Anniversary!!!

Glad Princess is feeling better.

Aw, thanks Elizabeth. I agree with your last statement 110%

ok which airline is it that does the dings? Butch will never fly, but if a good price comes up we might just surprise his mom with a solo trip for her to go see her sister.

Robyn, Lucy's pictures turned out so nice. I loved that the photographer captured a few of her smiles. And that last piture, oh my goodness that smile!! those cheeks and Her eyes .. what a fabulous picture.

Elizabeth, Happy Anniverary! I'm glad you and DH could get breakfast in together today. YAY for the vicks plug in. I've been thinking about getting them for the kid's rooms. I think you just made up my mind on them.

Jennifer, I'm sorry you still have your headache. and I'm sorry Virgina had you up half the night. I hope she does better today and lets you get a nap in.

Lindsay, congrats on getting The books done. sounds like you're on top of that list. I'm just sorry it's taking away from your sleep.

Bernadette, I'm sorry you're still felling a little yucky, but you're right about that Florida Sun. It does wonders.

Thanks Heather! Her cheeks are quite funny!! But you ought see her thighs :goodvibes

found this on the CB. It seems it is an old email and Walter Reed will not deliver cards or packages.

Thanks for the heads up Heidi.

That is great! Good luck finishing the cards. I'm sure you'll feel great when those are done!:wizard:

Thanks! Our flight is at 9:15. We'll take the 6:15 boat to Logan. My friend Dorinda lives about a block from the boat so her DS will drive us there and I'll leave my car at her house rather than pay the $6/day parking. Only problem is there is a draw bridge between her house and the boat. It unlikely we will have a problem with that though just a fear in the back of our heads. This will get us to the airport a bit early but the next boat isn't until 7:15 and that would be a bit too tight.

You're trip snuck up on me :rotfl: Have a wonderful time!!!

Bernadette - The rack rates for those dates are $99 (weekday) and $109 (weekend). The AP discounts have been pretty paltry - your AAA discount might be better than the AP rate!

Robyn, nice pictures.

Thanks Heidi!

I'm sure they came out great. I wish I was one of your neices. You have put so much time and effort into this trip. It will be so much fun.

Elizabeth good luck with the DING and HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!!!

:scared1: $2100

Thanks!:)

THANK YOU Lindsay & Robyn!!! I saved another $87 on the flight to MCO!:cool1: So, if anyone was wondering if they DING the same flight more than once the answer is YES! Now we have a $99 credit to use on SW. Better than the little $12 credit I had from the first DING.:rotfl2:

Lindsay, I asked DH about coming back on the flight that gets in at 9:25 PM but that is just too late for him, and it would be late for DS, too. I dind't think we'd have any luck on the Sunday flight, but it was absolutely worth the drive home to get $87 on the flight to MCO!

Isn't May 3 the pin event at AK?:rolleyes1 I am glad you made a ressie! Now chop chop on those ADRs!;) :rotfl2:

:yay: :yay:

I am so scattered. I meant to say:

Robyn I loved Lucy's pictures. She is such a cutie. I don't know how you put her down.

Karen. Good luck with surgery and finding a night attendant. :wizard: On the job search.

Thanks Deb, it is hard.

I guess I will head to pick up Princess.
She is supposed to have play group at the park but it has turned cloudy and kind of icky out. I don't want her to play outside in this weather since she is just getting over that cold. Maybe we will just stay HOME today.

Bernadette have a great trip!!!
Thanks!

Bernadette, have a safe and fun trip.
Thanks!

Congrats on your SW credit-perhaps you could use it in May!

You're trip snuck up on me :rotfl: Have a wonderful time!!!
Thanks, snuck up on me too.:rotfl:

Well....this latest round of AP's saved me nearly $100 over AAA on Joe's 5 day trip BUT....the Nov AP's are more than general public but I didn't think it was worth the effort to change the reservation for $10 but still I kind of felt like I was getting a raw deal with November so I'm very happy with Jan. I have a feeling May will be more like November than Jan.

Has everybody seen the MVMCP merchandise?

I kind of like the throw but I won't have room for it since this is a "carry-on only" trip and I will already have a throw in my magic bag! I kind of like the picture frame, too.
You could mail it home.

yes they are concerned by the time they go in for their 2 week check up they want them to be back at birth weight. but she lost quite a it when she was so jaundiced and not eating much. she got down to 6lb 80z. she is still a little jaundiced. but it is almost gone. yesterday she pretty much fed all day.

Hmm. That sounds lower than what we paid. I just called DH and he isn't home anymore :headache: so I guess I am going home!

THANKS!
Correct me if I'm wrong, but all you have to do is go to the southwest site and check their fares. If a ding is available, it will reflect that fare. Having ding installed on your computer only notifies you that there is a ding, it doesn't have anything to do with booking.

Bernadette - I hope you have a wonderful trip!!

Happy Anniversary Elizabeth!!!

I don't think the DINGs will display unless you have that program downloaded. Hmm. I will go check now, but I was pretty sure when I checked earlier there wasn't a way to get the DING fares to show.

If there is a way to do it I can't figure it out. I just looked at Dec. 12 and it isn't showing any DING fares at all, just "internet" fares which are higher.

Happy 15th Anniversary, Elizabeth (and DH!) :teeth:

Bernadette - I hope you have a wonderful trip!!

Happy Anniversary Elizabeth!!!

thanks!

Bernadette - I don't want any of the MVMCP stuff enough to pay to ship it home. (See my earlier post about the high cost of postage.;) )
I might have to go back to thinking about going to WDW in May. But first we'll have to see what happens to me for taking DS out of school in December. It is more likely that we will use the credit to go to Kansas City to visit family. DH won't go so if DS and I can get one of those $25 DINGS we could both go round trip for just the cost of taxes.:rotfl:

Well whaddaya know. I learned something new today.

Bernadette,

Hope I haven't missed you, Have a Great Trip, see ya next week.

Happy Anniversary Elizabeth!

Happy Anniversary Elizabeth!
Thanks! See you soon. I'll tell Mickey you're on your way!

Bernadette have a safe trip.

Thanks!

So I'm all packed except I couldn't find a book I wanted to bring. I'm hoping it is really already in my bag. It's just a small book about a very tragic fire here in Boston nightclub that occured 65 years ago. My FIL was in the ER at Boston City Hospital that night. The author will be coming to my office to give a talk on Nov 28th. If it is not in my bag I'll just have to read it when I get home.

I think I'll make a few Mousekeeping envelopes but I'll be going to bed early.

Bernadette... Have a wonderful trip!!:dance3: :dance3: :dance3:

Happy Anniversary Elizabeth. :yay: Yay on the savings..

Robyn, great pictures!

Wednesday is probably the most suckiest day for tv.:snooty: :snooty:

I have my autograph pages printed. I have to decorate the clip board. I have to turn on my ancient desktop and get my character checklist that also says where the characters usually hang out . I have to create my park touring plans.

3 weekends people! 3 weekends!
