Ok, I'm off to make sweet potato casserole with marshmallows. The pumpkin pie just came out of the oven. Yummy. And, Theresa, thank for the compliment on the picture. Rees is in a HUGE Pooh phase again after the hospital (he still sleeps with his Pooh lovie), so I put it in there for him. It's such a happy picture.

What kind of chair did he get Deb? It looks very child friendly. Can you tell me the make and brand? Also, do you have directions for the canopy? I don't sew. Would I be able to make it?

Hunter has a Convaid Cruiser. It is really nice. Our insurance covered it too. We went through a medical supply company and they did not recommend the MacLauren version as it isn't build to the same standards though it is about 1/2 the price. The only complaint comes from Chris, but may apply to you and your dh since I think you are both taller than me. The handles are about waist level on me so when Chris pushes he is bearing down on the handles instead of forward and it bothers his wrists. The difference this has made on our vacations is amazing. Because Colby has the same issues we will be getting him one soon too. I just haven't taken the steps to get the process started. Day to Day were ok, but a trip to the mall or a long walk just isn't doable without something. Colby is too heavy for his Mac now.

You can definitely make the canopy if you can sew a straight stitch. I will post some pictures of the pieces when things slow down. The only downfall we found is that we used copper pipe since it was the right size and easily attainable at Home Depot. We found that the copper stretches so the frame got pretty floppy by the end of our trip. I need to research other kinds of pipe to see what is lightweight and easy to work with.

Milestone!!!

ETA: SHE'S BACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

:lmao: :lmao: She's back and she is still stealthy!!!

Hunter loves Pooh too. He still has a Pooh room and lots of stuffies. I think he and Rees may have a lot in common.

Well I made it home before the mad traffic crunch hit. I stopped and got Nicholas his birthday present. Here is what he is getting.

The sleepover is still on for Friday night, Nov. 30. He invited 4 boys. I still don't know who all is coming yet.

After we got home we made the pumpkin pie. Do you know how much longer things take to do when you have 4 extra hands 'helping'??? It's in the oven now. I'm debating whether to take them to Enchanted later on or just stay home and hang out. We still have to frost our cookies we made the other day. I'm waiting for my butter to soften and then we will get started on that.

I'm 5'5" and John is 6'0". How tall is Chris? Thanks for the info. Are you comparing it to the Macleran Major Special Needs stroller? We will start the process Monday. Rees has a rental wheelchair for now, but we need a permanent one. Our insurance will cover it, thank goodness. Thanks for the help!!!

Denise - Congrats on the milestone! I am glad Rees is doing better!

Tammi - I hope Nicholas likes his gaming chair!

I put the oranges in the Jello and poured it over the other layers so that is all done. It just has to set. My poppyseed bread is out of the pans, it just needs to cool a little more before I put wrap over it.

DH has to go back to work at 8 PM so we are trying to decide what to have for dinner. DS fell asleep so he's having a nap!:rotfl2:
