Good morning, DDA!
In 2nd grade the teachers really eased us into it. They gave a little presentation for the parents and it was all very laid back. They didn't follow "big kid" rules so it wasn't that hard.
Back in the Dark Ages (1982) we had to BUILD the backboard for the display and that was a nightmare. We had to go buy plywood, hinge it together, and paint it. I think it weighed more than I did. I had to TYPE my stuff on a typewriter. I don't even think we owned a computer. For the heading we had to use stick-on letter like you put on your mailbox, and we had to buy a BUNCH of packages because there was only one of each letter per pack. We used a staple gun to attach the papers because that plywood was so tough. At least with DS they have those "regulation" tri-fold cardboard displays and we can print it all out on the computer and stick it to the board with roll-on adhesive.
I am off today but I am WIDE awake. DH is cooking breakfast. I still haven't heard anything from ExMomboss about going over there tonight. I guess I need to e-mail her to see if she remembers that she asked us to come over.

DS tried on his pirate costume and it still fits fine so that's one less thing to worry about. It says 6x-8 but the pants are still kind of long on him.
