I just got an e-mail for the Disney Visa ticket deal. I was wondering if they sent anything out or if I am just supposed to stumble across their offers. It says the offer opens to the general public on 11/1.

I never get those emails even though we have had a Disney visa since day 1!

What is the offer?

WTG Colby :cheer2:

Good Morning DDA. It was a short night here. We watched the whole game and didn't get to bed until about 1 AM. Then Colby woke up and went potty on his own but needed us to put him back to bed. He was dry this morning :cool1:

I liked Ratatoulle but not enough to buy it. Same for my kiddies. They did like Meet the Robinson's though & I am going to get that for their stocking.

I started stock piling gifts for them. I got some jasmine jewelry, 3 princess rag dolls (jasmine, cinderella, sleeping beauty) for Sophie & a Meet the robinsons figures playset for Daniel all on sale & with my CM discount.

Dana got the Wii today, an extra controller, & another game from Santa today. Santa's only bring the Wii & a bunch of games. Dana & I are giving them movies & little extras from us. (mostly stuff from the disney store!)

Free hopper & water parks if you go in Jan, Feb, or the first half of March. I was just reading the thread about it on Codes & Rates and if those people aren't paying to get non-expiring tickets then they are NOT going to have 20 days worth of admissions. Nobody is mentioning that they added "no expiry"!

My e-mail just came in less than 30 minutes ago. I looked at the Chase site earlier to see if I could elect to have an alert for Disney discounts but that isn't one of the choices.

What a fun morning!

Colby spotted the balloon through our window. Once we realized that it was landing in a field just across the interstate we threw on our clothes and grabbed the camera. The pilot was very nice and let Colby sit in the basket. We then helped them squeegee the balloon and pack it up. Colby was fascinated by the whole process. It was so cold here this morning. We had a heavy frost, I was surprised seeing the balloon. The pilot says that he flies year round and that it wasn't too cold up there :confused3 I know that we put on our rain boots and our feet were freezing just helping pack it up.

Wow busy weekend! I don't think I would have been to happy being woken up at midnight to see if I would cook breakfast for everyone  You are a sweetie!

Wow! This weekend went by in a whirl!!!

My options are extreme heat :rotfl: & the boys do not miss any school or mild heat, MNSSHP, & the boys miss a few days of school. Right now I have nothing planned for next year, I need to wait & see how the money is :sad2:

Oh its not that bad!!! Come when I am there in August!!!:)

Done with inventory for another month! Garrett & Riley are officially employed now. They started a paper route today. I hope it works out for them, best part most of their stops are on our street. They have both been bothering me about it for a while & I finally gave in. They both want their own route, but for now they will share the one. I told them I will not be doing the route for them, this is their responsibility. Everyday after school & Sat. & Sun. mornings. The weekends is where I think they will tire of it, we shall see!

Did you find a good deal on the Wii?
I wish we could just sort of skip Christmas this year. I am so worried about the cats destroying the tree that it isn't worth putting it up. We don't get back from WDW until the 16th and then back to work & school the next day. Hardly seems worth it to put the whole big tree up on 12/22, especially since we put the trees in the storage unit. DH will be working A LOT when we get home and he won't want to mess with the tree. I will have to get out the other decorations like I did last year and tell DS we'll do the tree at the last minute after my bosses leave to go out of town. I would be perfectly happy just to do stockings and wrap the I-Coaster for DS and be done with it.

Oh, yikes! DS has MOUNTAINS of homework tonight. The diagnostician still hasn't called me back. He has a word search for Science, math problems, 2 worksheets for Language Arts plus info on a book report that he isn't sure of the due date, then he has to write 8 definitions for Social Studies. What makes me mad about the definitions is that HALF of them are repeats from last week! He is supposed to write them FIVES TIMES EACH. He didn't fail his vocab test last week so he will NOT be writing them 5x each. That violates his modifications and with so much work from all of the other teachers we really have to prioritize.

Hi, everyone!

I hope you're all having good Mondays - I was away from the boards this weekend, and you guys managed to post something like 40-50 pages since Friday! Goodness! :rotfl: ;)

I can't comment on everything as my brain is mush, but know that I'm sending out  :woohoo:  :grouphug: :wizard: :thumbsup2 to everyone that needs it!

A couple of things I did want to comment on:

Vicki - Jonathan and I flew NWA to Missouri over Labor Day weekend. We had never flown them before, but we had to get there for J's grandmother's 90th b-day, and it was either drive 9+ hours, pay over $400/person on American (for a non-stop 1+ hour flight! :scared: ), or fly NWA with a connecting flight for half the price. Needless to say, when the $200 fare came out, I snapped it up! We didn't have any problems with them - I did not find their planes all that clean, but for an extra $400 in my pocket, I wasn't quibbling. I was worried about them, as they'd had a lot of baggage/delay problems over the summer, but we were only slightly late leaving Dallas due to the pilot being on another flight that was running late. We did end up doing just carry-on luggage, though, since we had tight connections.

Tammi - you know how I feel about driving at WDW. :goodvibes I prefer it, but then again, I'm just too impatient for the buses! Plus, the only time I took the buses a couple of weeks ago at Pop, I had to stand both ways. In my own car, I get to sit, and since Jonathan usually drives, it's the best of both worlds!

As for AKL and remote-ness - we were almost to AKL when I missed our turn on the way to Kona! So, if you count our trip from where I turned around to the MK gates, I would probably say it was 10 minutes, tops. Of course, the buses don't drive as fast as I do. ;) I have taken the bus from the AKL to the MK a couple of times (Epcot once, too), and I found it fairly efficient. I do like that they have dedicated buses!

Lots of cute kiddo pics, and lots of busy, busy weekends it sounds like. Where is fall going? The holidays are just right around the corner - I about fell over when the TRU "Big Toy Book" was in my paper yesterday. Althogh I love Christmas, someday we're going to begin celebrating in July, I'm certain of it!

Yay for being done with inventory! (I used to hate that part of retail!) Good for Riley and Garrett! :thumbsup2 I'm glad for them that the deliveries will mainly occur later in the day - I think our daily paper hits my doorstep around 4 a.m. or so - I would not want to be one of those couriers! :scared:

Elizabeth - you sound like our debate over the tree. I love Christmas too much to not put one up (and we don't even celebrate the day at home!), but our continuing pattern of Disney Dec. travels does have me thinking that we one day might need to switch from live trees to a fake tree. We'll be okay this year (we'll just get it the day we get back, and it won't be too late in the season to get a good one), but if we go mid-Dec. next year for the amount of time I'd like, it will be hard to keep it hydrated while we're gone. I just love the tradition of picking out a tree, and ahh, that real tree smell. There's nothing quite like it! :cloud9:

Good luck with the homework! That does sound like a lot!

Thanks Jennifer.
I did buy Meet The Robinson's at Walmart an got an extra 50 points for the movie rewards program that Disney is doing.

Heidi, I enjoyed Ratatouille. We preordered it already, but we buy just about every Disney movie. I think if you can get a good deal for it you should buy it.

Stephanie & Tia hope you both feel better soon :wizard:

Elizabeth & Lindsay this will be the 1st year I am not putting up a tree since the boys have been born. I might decorate a little, but I see no since in the tree beings we will be at Disney. I am actually excited about not having to drag everything out :thumbsup2

I stopped at the Dollar Tree after work & they do not have any Disney Christmas clings in yet. I will have to keep checking! I did by a wreath for our door at the resort, now I just need to find decorations for it & our small tree. I still can't believe we will be at Disney for Christmas, someone pinch me :cool1: :rotfl:

I hate to be Grinchy about it, but I just don't think I want to fuss with the tree on the 22nd and have to take it back down in time to go back to work the 27th!:rotfl2: I guess we can put it up with "non-essential" ornaments and if it falls over we'll just pick it up, but that doesn't sound like fun, either.

Poor DS is going to be working on homework all night. I hate that some nights there is homework from one teacher and the next day there is homework from 4!:scared1: Those vocab words are her standard Monday assignment, but they aren't usually a repeat of the words from the week before. It takes him FOREVER to do those because he has to write the definitions, draw a picture, and color it. 40 definitions and 8 colored drawings could take all night on it's own!:headache: Up until now I have let it go because he hasn't had a ton of stuff from other classes but to have repeat words when he did fine on the test is just busy work.

This is a lot of homework! :wizard: to ds

That is a crazy amount! I can't believe the double words especially.

Well, Alan knew that I wasn't going to help with the cement, so making breakfast was the least I could do. At least I got to stay warm!
