OK, ALL OF YOU WHO JUST RETURNED, HELP!
I read on the "Codes & Rates" board that there is a bounce back running right now that is a % discount on resort rooms. Did any of you hear about that? I need to know how long it will be available for booking and what dates you can book for. Did anybody hear about this??
I called Chanon and she doesn't have any info on it.

At risk of repeating someone else... they were offering 40% off villas and 30% off Deluxe Resorts with limited availability. sorry, I didn't write anything down since the dates weren't good for me.

Congrats, Mr. Hancock! I would say $75 for a custom designed outfit from you would be an acceptable price. Now that people have seen them and want them, I would go for that kind of price range. I hope this takes off for you in a way to allow you to be happy doing it and pay for lots of Disney Vacations!

Is she looking at in-state schools only? Or is an out-of-state school a possibility? Also, is she CERTAIN she wants a career inmusic/education? If not... I strongly urge her to look at a top notch liberal arts school with good music and education departments. That is a wonderful way to start if you are not 100% sure.

To answer your questions:

She is looking at all schools...but only one in state (Metro).

She is definitely leaning toward music, music education or education.

I am trying to find a good liberal arts school for her because even when she wishy washy's on one she never wavers on both at the same time.

I went to RMC for education and I ended up with an English Degree.

So far I have managed to gather that the Bounce Back started 10/20, it is for select dates in Jan, Feb, ?April?, and August, beginning 8/10. 20% off Value, 30% off Mod, 40% off Deluxe. The lady who posted wasn't sure how long they will be taking ressies on the Bounce Back, so I will cross my fingers for them to run it through the end of the year! I would ABSOLUTELY book 8/10 - 8/17 on that offer! The front half of my dates will just be on AAA or AP.

There were a few other dates listed on our brochure, Elizabeth. There were some December dates, but all ended before I would have been able to arrive.

So in Jan. I weighed 177lbs In Feb. I got pregnant. So with being pregnant I was supposed to gain weight, well the first 4 months I lost due to morning sickness got down to 170lbs. months 5-7 I gained got up to 187lbs. Became a Gestational Diabetic at the end of my 7th month. Started losing weight again on 10/18 I had Drs. appt. I weighed 180lbs. Had the baby on 10/21 she weighed 7lbs 4oz when I weighed myself Tues. morning I was 169 lbs that is less then what I weighed before I got pregnant

The reopening of Spaceship Earth has been pushed back to February 19th 2008 according to the official Walt Disney World site. There is no information about what has caused the delay.

Well, crap! My friend (the one who nobody bothered to help when she was laying on the bathroom floor) said she thought it wasn't opening until next year. Looks like she was right! DH and DS will be disappointed. We all enjoy that ride, and now we'll miss it in December.

Any good movies out right now that I could see tonight? I've lost track of what's out and good since I don't get to go much.

Also, anyone see Nightmare in 3D? Terra keeps talking about it, but I'm not sure if the 3D would be too much for her. Maybe I'll just check it out from the library.

I can't remember if I have seen The Black Cauldron or not.
We saw Nightmare in 3D last year and I don't recall it being 3D like at Disney where things look like they are coming right at you. I may be wrong, though.
That Movie "Dan in Real Life" looks cute - I think it opens today. Enjoy your evening!

Thanks, Elin! I don't know if we will try to go Dec. '08 or not. Our APs expire Aug. 16, so we would need passes or new APs. It sounds like the info Anne Marie was getting about 30% off deluxes was correct - the lady on the Codes & Rates board either calculated wrong or she got lucky with 40% off WL.

Princess had her flu shot today. I think it insulted her more than anything. She really just let out one little yelp. This afternoon is the Halooween thing at Momboss's office so I will drop her off about 3:15 in her Minnie costume.

DS had early dismissal today so he didn't even see the band teacher. I still haven't heard anything back from him.

Disney Shopping has 20% off the whole site right now. That's what I was waiting for! I ordered pin trading bags for DH & me. You can stack the 20% off code with the free shipping code for personalized items so the bags (with tax) were $30 each. The bags hold a lot more pins than the albums, and the album I bought in August is full. Now all 3 of us will have our own bag with our name on it.

I think it is the dynamics of each family and how it is presented. For the five of us kids, it was a matter of money and we understood. We were not happy but we understood.
I know that Hal and I told the kids that there were times we would go away alone and then times we would take them. Us going away did not always mean gifts either.

For my family, I think once I can get them there in three years, they will finally see why I love going so much. We unfortunately did not go to WDW when the kids were young except for a day trip. It was a matter of money and probably not enough knowledge about it.

I have been gathering things to pack for this weekend. Well, its supposed to rain all weekend. I grabbed my rain suit and well I haven't really used it in awhile. Let's just say its probably two- three sizes too big. Well its going anyways because I don't have time to find another one, and don't want to get soaked. I'm just going to swim in it. I know my hips will keep the pants up and the coat will be great for layering, but I'm not layering almost 70 pounds of stuff.

Well I'm off to pack, I hope I can find enough clothing to keep me warm and dry for the weekend. Not that I want to pack, but I gotta as I need to be at the church by 5:30pm to leave.

We brought the kids back gifts because we wanted too, they were just happy to have us home. Our kids were fine with us being gone. For us WDW is our "Family Place". Whenever we talk about a family vacation it always ends up back there. The kids were good about us going, but they were very envious of everything we did. That being said if we wanted to go anywhere else in the World they would gladly send us off alone

Heidi - DH and I have never gone anywhere without DS, but that's mostly because we don't have anyone to leave him with. I didn't allow my father to see DS because he was an alcoholic and very mean to my mother. After my parents finally divorced my mother still refused to set any boundaries so she never knew when my father would just show up. My sister (see above) is only 4 years older than DS and she is VERY jealous of him so she is VERY mean to him. The one year DH and I stayed in a hotel for our anniversary my sister was so mean to DS we almost went to pick him up after dinner. We have a couple of good friends who we would leave him with if we HAD to, but it isn't fair to ask them to care for him during the school year. They have jobs and getting DS off to school would really be a huge inconvenience for them. None of them have kids so it's not like I could return the favor. DH's schedule is such a nightmare I couldn't ever go away by myself, either, because there would be too much time that DS would be all alone.

Good morning DDA. Don't have a heartattack, the phone rang and woke me up while Chris was in the shower There is no way that I would willingly get up at 6:30 AM

Chris and I have a queen bed and we have separate covers too. Chris tends to be hot and I'm always cold so separate covers is the only way to keep us both comfortable.

Us too, for the same reasons..I am always freezing & Dana's always sweating.
