I hope he is feeling better by Sat. My parents neighbor hood association is putting on a Halloween carnival so we will be going over their. I know he wants to see Virginia and hold her.

I swear DS is on a mission to drive me insane. He has this project where he is supposed to display photos and momentos from 3 or 4 "benchmark" times in his life and do a presentation for the class! He said she assigned it yesterday, but the paper says students will start presenting on Wednesday! That's TODAY! So he threw together a hodge podge of stuff that isn't really a good representation of anything, and it made him 35 minutes late for bed. WHY can he not keep up?! I see he got a 70 for another assignment in language arts and he has NO CLUE why it was only a 70. He is just so ditzy!

It sounds like he is just overwhelmed. that it gets better.

Obviously the rest of you are simply not dark and twisty enough!

There is one opening - it's not quite as big as the ones in Chicago, New York, etc., but still a pretty big deal. It opens next weekend (11/3 I believe is the date). My nieces can't wait to come visit me now!
You guys will definitely have to make it to Dallas!

She would be so thrilled to come to Dallas. She was so mad at me when I went without her. But the pink cowboy boots and hat that I brought back went a long way in making her not so mad.

I am hoping for great airfare. Thankfully I don't need to shell out $ for a hotel.

Thanks in advance! I'll be there in December (last minute solo weekend trip! ) but I imagine these will sell out quicker than the Disneyland ones, just on my (perhaps false) assumptions that more people frequent WDW and would buy them, and that there are the same number.

I have a student whose name is Tristan and she is definitely a girl! I really think the lines between male/female names are blurring lately.

It's a trend that I just don't get! Growing up my last name was Paul and there was a boy I went to school with, (kindergarten thru high school) whose name was Paul McL****. It never failed that they would call his name and then immediately say Paul Robyn. Drove me bonkers.

When I talk to my aunt about Tristan I can't even bring myself to call her that. I just call her baby.

Hot we live in Texas can it compare to Texas heat? I would love to do the Christmas again but I think it would have to be a short trip because of schools. If we did Aug. we could do a longer trip and the parks would be open later especially AK as the sun sets later.

I've done WDW twice in August, and this Texas girl swelters there... it is much more humid than it is here, and my Aunt (in Houston) said she thinks WDW is worse than even Houston! That doesn't mean I won't do it again, because that is the best time for us. In fact, 2009 we will probably be there at that time. It would be smart to rent the car because then you aren't waiting for the buses, and misters and fans would be essential. Especially for Virginia, as strollers/car seats don't let a lot of air in. I would think seriously about November... everyone has their own opinion, but missing a week of kindergarten doesn't seem like a big deal for me... That being said, my kids hate to miss school and have years of perfect attendance, so I might not have the right perspective on the school issue...
