After seeing the awesome book you made Joe, I think I may try this offer for our December trip. No per-page charges...woo hoo!

What a great deal. I want to make Lizzy a book when we get home. I don't know if I can figure out another book to do before then and actually have the time to do it.

HEY!! How about me???:confused3 :lmao:

Well, shoot! That goes without saying!!! I think we should plan a meet for when all the new stuff goes into CA! Or before then, but it would be fun to see all the new stuff together!

I'm still trying to figure out a way to get to Colorado in the near future! Just have to sell Alan on the idea!

I'm still hemming and hawing
about next August.
I'm still hemming & hawing over my trip in 2 weeks and 3 days.:scared1:  I talked to my friend today and she agrees that she & DH will just stay at Epcot Thursday while I take Lizzy to MK for Spectro. On Friday we have the 8am ADR at CP. We'll leave Epcot to go to Tea at GF. I think Lizzy & I may skip Tea and head right to Epcot. She really wants to do the tea. I had a great time when I went with her last May but Lizzy didn't love it.

I love the national news....it said metro Denver got 4-6 inches of
snow and the mountains up to 2 feet. Most places got snow...but
didn't stick. :confused3
I heard 8".;)

Come camping next summer!!!!

I could come up with a ton of stuff....I am pretty good at selling Colorado. I don't think it would take much to convince my family to come there...but right now Ama takes precedence.

Well, I am finally caught up - you guys definitely took the job of posting machines seriously!!! :lmao: :lmao:

It was wonderful to meet all those that made the trip - I was the first one back (got home yesterday around 6:30 p.m., and I was pooped!), but I think the vast majority that you haven't already heard from get home sometime tonight!

I'm afraid I have very few pictures to share - someone else always seemed to have their camera at the ready, and as I wasn't happy with the pictures my work camera was taking, I figured I would just enjoy everyone else's copies when they get around to posting them. :goodvibes I did get a couple of pictures with Elin and her daughters at the Party for the Senses Saturday night, which I will post soon. :thumbsup2

Deb already posted a great recap of all of her and Chris' PD over the weekend. What great good fortune they had! And of course, I think Deb is the only person I know that could find clearance items at WDW! :rotfl: Chris was sporting new Pirate Crocs (on sale!) within mere hours of their arrival. :thumbsup2

I will post a brief recap of what all I did shortly!

I guess that I am heading to bed. I don't think I will ever get caught up on sleep, but I will catch up here tomorrow before starting my trip report. I think I only have 23 pages more to read

After Underdog was over I headed outside, as I knew we should soon be leaving the port. We were just thrusting away from the dock. It amazes me how agile ships this large can be. The whirlpool shape in the water is from the side thruster

I headed back to the room and Stitch and Mickey greeted me with the invitation to the DVC presentation. Don't you love the invitation in a bottle look. If you haven't guessed yet tonight is Pirate night and dinner.
DSC00012.jpg

Stephen and I got ready for dinner, AKA we changed into our pirate costumes and then we headed towards dinner. Well we got sidetracked because Peter Pan had no line, so we had our pic taken with him
DSC00014.jpg

When we walked into Lumiere's we noticed that lots of people were not dressed up. We were hoping our table mates would be and all of us were decked out for Pirate night. Of course I didn't think to get a picture of all of us together

So this is one of my favorite menus and I would seriously order one of everything but we restrained ourselves a bit, as there is a Pirate Buffet after the Pirate party.

Our table mates all missed the fun because they decided to not have dessert and left early to get to the Pirate Party.

We stayed for dessert and ordered

We quick ran up to the room and found a pirate ray

OK actually he was a ray wearing glasses but we thought he needed to be pirated out. Tonight instead of square chocolates they have chocolate coins.

Then we header upstairs to go to the pirate party.

I couldn't respond to all 100 pages, but wanted to comment on a few things...

First of all, loved all the pics and the trip reports interspersed throughout! Maybe more DDA'ers should go away more frequently to see all these cute pics posted!

Jennifer (tink) - I didn't see your post until late today, but I will continue to pray for a great outcome for you and Kyle. I noticed your new ticker, too - when do you get to the World in December?

Jen - I'm so sorry to hear about the heart troubles of your dad's. Continued PD and prayers that they figure out what's going on soon, and can put him on some preventative meds and measures. Any new news tonight?

Jennifer (bear) - another big congrats to your family! Loved the pics, and I hope your first night back home is a great one!

Loved all the pics (both old and new) of all the DDA'ers and the kids at Halloween!

Denise - continued prayers for your family. I'm with you - I'm aghast that things are progressing the way they are - it's almost like we're all watching what COULD happen (but shouldn't be at this stage) if the US went to socialized medicine.

Beth - it was good to see you!

Tom - I see your auctions are going strong! :thumbsup2 I'm telling you - you have a gold mine on your hands! Time to draw up the business plan. ;)

Theresa - sorry to hear the LHS didn't advance to state, but maybe now your family will be able to get some rest! So sorry to hear about the car drama - I hope you can get some of that $$ back! Oh, and I like many of Jacquelyn Mitchard's books. The one Elizabeth mentioned I believe was the first ever "Oprah's Book Club" pick when she was first picking contemporary novels.

Heidi - you are way too efficient for your own good! :rotfl2:

Becky - thanks for posting your cruise TR here, so I didn't have to go to that thread to catch up, too. ;) Another round of great pics! That Cozumel water is so pretty.

Bernadette - after having been at the F&WF this weekend, I would avoid weekend afternoons and evenings like the plague. I was in both Epcot Friday and Saturday, and it was WAY more crowded than I remember it being when Jonathan and I were there for the opening weekend in 2005. Just seas of people, and with all the kiosks cluttering the walkways, it made getting around challenging.

I did have some luck - I went solo over to Epcot after our breakfast at Cape May on Saturday (everyone was going to Epcot on Sunday, but I would be leaving early for my flight). I walked through the Intl. Gateway around 10 a.m., and noticed that they were already prepping some of the kiosks. I walked over to Soarin' to grab a FP, rode Livin' with the Land, did some pin shopping, and then went back to World Showcase around 10:40. The kiosks were all open at that point, and I went to the few that interested me and had my tastings with little to no wait. I also rode the Gran Fiesta Tour, did some shopping, and was done with WS shortly after noon, when crowds were beginning to build right at the entrance as people migrated over from FW. I went to use my FP for Soarin' around 12:15, and the FP distribution time was almost to 8 p.m. by then! When I went back that night for Party of the Senses, I've never seen that many people in WS. Friday night it was crowded when we were there for dinner/IllumiNations at R&C, but Sat. was a totally different ballgame. Moral of the story - get there early - it will be open before 11 a.m.

Marci - get better soon!!!!! I agree with Elizabeth, we need another DDA mini-meet sometime soon! And the weather today was nuts - go figure that fall would finally arrive, although it looked more like winter! I'll take it, though - I'm so tired of heat!

Elizabeth - I got you that MNSSHP villains pin, if you still want it. :goodvibes Just let me know if you do. I hope DS gets the whole homework thing figured out sometime soon, and that the vacation/bidding situation gets worked out to your liking. The waiting would drive me a bit batty, too! Oh, and you can just keep holding, and re-holding, tickets on American - I do it all the time, both for regular and reward flights. A tip - for whatever reason, if you select your seats when you're holding something, and then it expires or you cancel it, AA won't let you hold the same seats on the plane again. I always go in and change my seats to something at the very rear of the plane (that I would never want) and then cancel the reservation. I then immediately hold the reservation again, choosing the seats I want all over again. (Hope that made sense!)

So I forgot to mention at dinner tonight, Eddie the stage manager got to join us. He didn't have a show to supervise in the WD theater since they were watching a movie Underdog.

Although he did have a show to run tonight, Pirates in the Caribbean party. He talked about how much work and effort it takes to have fireworks on the Disney Magic and Wonder. They are the only ships that are able to launch fireworks. He thinks part of the reason they were granted the ability is because they are experts in the business and have so much knowledge.

Some interesting tidbits about fireworks on the Disney Cruise Line:

*They must launch all fireworks before entering back into the United States. Therefore if they can not launch them for Pirate night due to the weather, etc they will have to launch them before they enter back into the United States.

*For the New Years Eve sailing they take extra fireworks with them for several cruises prior and stockpile them at Castaway Cay. This way they can have two firework shows in one week.

*They must alert all surrounding ships that they are going to be launching fireworks and when they will be starting, how many and any changes. We had several ships nearby that were watching the fireworks.

*Starting about 5-10 minutes before they must give the coast guard 30 second updates on what is happening Plus updates on changes or if things go wrong.

*They have a system which shuts the fireworks off as soon as something goes wrong. This will come into play at a later time.

Lets just say tons of time, effort, and energy goes into the fireworks show on the sea. All of this is done to keep everyone safe and so that nearby ships do not think a war or something bad is occurring.

Here are some pictures of the buffet table before it is loaded with food for the after party buffet.

I had some concerns about not making it to the Pirate Party due to late dinner. We ended up having plenty of time before the pirate party started. If we would have sat around and lingered at dinner for awhile we might have missed the party.

So am I correct that Virginia made her arrival?

Congratulations, Jennifer and family, and welcome to the world, Virginia! I hope everything went smoothly.

I finally found my post, but not with the crappy search engine. I remember posting it at the beginning of the month, so I went back to where post started on 10/7 and went page by page till I found it. :headache:
In order for the search function to work, your skin needs to be California Gold. I have no idea why. :confused3

Yep, she's here, Tammi. She arrived safely on Sunday morning.

How were your last couple of days?

We headed up to deck ten to have a birds eye view of the show. We felt like being above the show.

The Ariel View made a nice addition to the Pirate Party
DSC00042.jpg

The party starts out with them teaching dances. These dances will be used later during the show.

Then the good characters come out. Then the evil characters come out. Then Mickey comes to save the day with the fireworks show.

Headed back to the room, perhaps I went to the pool of a show at Rockin' D Bar. Honestly I have no idea. Eventually I went to bed.

Tomorrow was supposed to be our Palo brunch but we had changed it and already had it. We changed it because we were going to do Mickey's Island Jam Breakfast, well we didn't go to that either. Instead we broke into the Backstage area of WD Theater.:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

Yep, she's here, Tammi. She arrived safely on Sunday morning.

How were your last couple of days?
I went back and found the pictures. She's beautiful. :goodvibes

They were fun, but a little wet. We were over in Epcot WS late Sunday afternoon and it wasn't as bad crowd-wise as Saturday sounded. I thought it was quite managable. Although they did say it was crowded early in the day.

So we were saying goodbye to EPCOT. :sad1: And using a TT FP from yesterday when the rain closed the ride.

So Terry gave the CM the FP and explained why we were late.

And the CM told her she needed a field sobriety test.

CM: Were you drinking tonight?

Terry: Yes, I was.

CM. Okay, you passed that part. Now, can you say supercalifrageliousexpodious? (I'm sure I spelled that wrong:goodvibes )

Terry said it.

CM, Now spell it.

Terry.. s u p

CM, sorry that'w wrong.

Terry laughing, Ok. It i t. By this time I'm laughing so hard I'm almost on the ground.

CM Okay, one last thing, can you catch your card? And he starts waving her FP all over. We could barely feel our aching legs/feet we were laughing so hard. We love Test Track. Nice to say goodbye to EPCOT from the track.:yay:

Had to share. :dance3: Now I have to pack.:sad2:

We go to tea in the afternoon. The Beach Club Villa is a lovely vacation home. The next time Terry and I come to Disney, we'll be staying at Port Orleans FQ. We need two sinks, mousekeeping everyday, towel animals and a short walk from the bus to the room. Every night we have wanted a stretcher to remove us from EPCOT. We're exhausted.

We have had a ball. There is no way I'm ever going to catch up on 200 pages of notes.

We called my son to check us in with SW. (We were at Fantasmic). He can't get the number I gave him to work. Finally he calls SW to get the confirmation number it was I5, not 15. :rolleyes1 Anyway, he's telling the SW guy, "My mom and her friend are all liquored up and I can't get them checked in online." Terry and I had the giggles. :dance3:

Anyway, I've got to pack. Terry is all packed. We're going to open the MK, so I have to have bell services come really early to colllect our bags.

I'll be "talking" to you all on Wednesday. :woohoo: :woohoo:

Welcome Virginia!!!!:cheer2: :cheer2:
