I was hoping to find a T for pal Mickey locally but all Micheals had was pink or purple. I'll try JoAnn's or ACMoore.

I want to make those Food & Wine Fest cards Becky posted the link to. And I was thinking of designing my own wine tasting cards.

I will look to see if I can find a shirt for Pal Mickey around here.

Those cards have the wine, beer and other alcohol choices listed for each country with the food choices. If it was me I would just use the mixed cards and not make separate cards for just the wine. But you can do whatever you want.:thumbsup2

I had a plastic costume from a box, with a plastic mask. As you can see I refused to wear the mask

I was also a Butterfly but my Mom made the costume

How cute!

You're very sweet, Beth. It always takes me over a year to kick the baby weight. I've sworn to myself that I won't give in to every craving if I end up pregnant again, but we'll see what happens. I wish I hated food! :rotfl:

I never craved anything during pregnancy! Of course, the fact that I was incredibly morning sick for the first 5 months of each pregnancy might have contributed to that. Seriously, with Katie, I kept losing weight each month (of course, back then, I had enough to lose that it really didn't matter). When I gave birth to Katie, I was almost 40 pounds lighter than when I conceived. With Jacob I didn't lose that much, but with the twins I did. I was so much more sick with the girls than with Jacob. I wonder why???

Thanks!

Can I tell you all my drama last week with my SIL? She's obviously very talented! She was visiting from St Louis a few weeks ago and Lizzy asked her to help her knit a hat. Lizzy's school knits hats for the homeless. So Joe asked her if she would make him a hat. Emma has this cute pumpkin hat that she made-she's actually made her 2 as she outgrew the first one (well the first one was Lizzy's). She said sure. So a week or so after she got home Joe got a package from her. A hat and a scarf that she had started for him to try to knit. The hat was beautiful but the predominant color was pink.:confused3 We might as well pin a kick me sign on Joe if we send him to school in that hat. SO...now I get to try to learn how to knit Joe a hat. I mentioned it my SIL here in MA and we went to the yarn store to pick something out for Joe but DH's family wouldn't ever say anything to my St Louis SIL. She's really brilliant (chemical engineer) but doesn't always think too much.

Here is the real shocker....Emma says she'll wear the pink hat. I'll believe that when I see it.

Emma must have really loved the hat.

They say that some of the most brilliant book smarts people don't have the best social skills...I would bet that's your SIL.

I had the idea to do the wine cards when I saw a wine tasting book at J. Jill. That was before you the link. I think I will just stick to her cards as they have the wine names all listed and all.

I still have the link to purchase online that Vicki posted but it would be easier to just find them locally.

I'm so jealous! We are having a dull fall.

And, it's supposed to hit 80 tomorrow.

Mother Nature has lost her mind! :rotfl:

Our Fall ended at the first of this month! We were having spectacular color, until a freak snowstorm came along and ruined everything. Today we got another snowstorm with enough snow for a rousing snowball fight. The kids were so happy! Mom? Not so much!

Do you always celebrate snow with ice cream?

it's a family tradition to celebrate the first snow of the season with ice cream!!

It started in Billings when the first snow was in August when our favorite seasonal ice cream stand was still ope....so 8 or 9 years now. Of course some years the "first" snow happens 2 or 3 times. :rotfl2:

Thanks for all the comments on my new siggie pic!

Just something I was playing around with.

I will probably change it again!;)

We have to keep the out-of-towners guessing what siggies we all had whilst they were gone!:rolleyes1

I really like the picture of you, your wife and Leighanna! What a darling family? You and your wife are looking awfully good!!! It goes without saying that Leighanna is adorable!

The hat is beautiful!

My SIL is actually very social-much more social than her siblings. BUT...she only has 1 DD and 1 DGD. Maybe she just isn't aware that pink isn't a good choice for a 6 year old boy. She does mostly baby stuff.

So I just checked the CBA website....the weather got so bad in Ft Collins this afternoon they cancelled the 5A finals altogether!! The 4A's (the division we are in) were completed and Air Academy...the high school attached to the Air Force Academy came in first:cool1: . We know the drum major there through family ties. They truly had the best field show this year...of any band!!

Before I knew I was pregnant with Emma one day I had to have a pastrami sandwich. I hadn't had one in like 15 years. I also wanted icecream but I had already gotten lost finding the sandwich. :rotfl: I had another one a few weeks later and thought it would kill me. I haven't had one since.

Thanks!

I cannot knit with needles worth a darn! However, I went to Robert's and got a set of Knifty Knitting looms. They are circular, and you can knit a hat on it in under an hour!!! Seriously!!! I'm in the middle of doing one for Katie and had to quit because she went to bed, and I need her to try it on to see how much longer I need to knit on it! I'll finish it up tomorrow and post a picture of it! If you can get your hands on these looms, you could knot a hat lickity split!!!

Glynis I thought of you at the Scholastic Book fair this week after we went to parent teacher conferences.:goodvibes

I found this book https://secure.www.literaryguild.com/doc/browse/detail/product_detail.jhtml?repositoryId=585474B545

for $15 there and I thought I wonder if Glynis has read any of her books. I hate picking up a "new" author (you know one I've never read) so I didn't pick it up....but for the $5 I decided to try her out.

So have you read any of her books??

I also thought of you because it's so easy with just the 2 girls to spend a fortune I can just imagine how your checkbook screams:scared: when it's book fair time:lmao:

I would love to see a picture!!!

I have been helping Lizzy make her hat for school and it is looking pretty good so I think I can do it. Well, with some help on making the top.

For some reason, my computer is not showing the page you posted. Can you tell me the author and the name of the book and I'll let you know if I know anything.

Here is something else my SIL made for Lizzy. Emma tried it on in 2006 but she thought it was more of a costume-not something she'd actually be seen out of the house in. I did use this dress to get her to wear a dress to church on Easter. "You have to wear a dress today. Do you want to wear the pink one or the white one.";)
