Bernadette - I had a rash on my face when I was first pregnant with DS. One day my cheeks were the texture of a basketball.:scared: My OB said she had a book called "Rashes of pregnancy" that was several inches thick. The rash went away, but I was really self-conscious while it was there. I must have only been a couple of weeks along because I wasn't showing and I wasn't sick yet. I was violently ill weeks 6-14, so it was before that. I had actually forgotten about that until just now.

I also had a rash on my thighs with Joe. I could see the rash going away as the Dr was stitching me up.

I was sick with all 3 of mine-worse with each one. Till about 22 or 24 weeks with Emma. She nearly killed me.

I'm so jealous! We are having a dull fall.

And, it's supposed to hit 80 tomorrow.

Mother Nature has lost her mind! :rotfl:

It was about 70 today....but windy!!!

Tomorrow's high will be 40...maybe...and with almost a half foot of snow...which means we get to go for ice cream!!:cool1:

I think I have posted more tonight than I have in the past month and a half total. It has been a lot of fun, but I need to get going.

This coming week isn't looking good for DIS-ing, but I'll see what I can do.

Good night, DDA!

It's been fun reading your posts!!

Thanks!

We went back to the zoo today, and most of the kids with those kind of costumes weren't wearing the hoods.

I'm going to date myself here (especially for Jen, Jen, and Becky), but remember those Halloween costumes that used to come in a box? It was a plastic poncho with a mask. Oh, the good ole' days! :rotfl:

I never got one but I do remember them!!!

I came up with great costumes(I think) for myself:

2nd grade I was a shower
4th I was a cigarette girl.....I made this one by myself...but everybody thought I was Peter Pan. :upsidedow
the last year I went out....I was a bowling ball.

Cassidy is thinking of being Pebbles from The Flintstones...Abi is probably going to be a sour puss...she is my practical kid who thinks she's too old to trick or treat. She has to decide what she's being for the party next weekend.

This evening, I had the "pleasure" of taking my children to a Pump It Up birthday party. I knew before I even left the house that it was going to be exhausting, because Kevin had a church function, so I was a solo parent.

For those of you unfamiliar with Pump It Up, it's one of those venues that have rooms full of inflatable bouncy structures and slides. There were 24 kids present, ranging in age from 1 to 14 (family and friends). Of course, parents were present, too.

The first 1/3 of the party was fun...the second 1/3 was tolerable, and by the time we got to the cake and presents, I was ready to bash my head against the wall. Both of my children failed to take a nap after the zoo, so we had some unpretty moments toward the end.

I'm just a "homemade" birthday party kind of gal. My ears are still ringing!

those places are headache inducing on days kiddos nap I can't imagine a non-nap party

I like the homemade birthdays the best too!!

Hi, Glynis! I saw the "leg lamp" at Kohl's today. It TALKS!:rotfl2: The leg is in the shipping crate and when you open the crate it says lines from the movie!:lmao: You definitely should get one for Alan!

Ok, you sold me!!! I'll go check our Kohl's on Monday, and if they don't have it, I'll order it! He will go NUTS!!!

Good luck with the hat, Bernadette! Knitting needles are right up there with ironing shirts for me! Great potential for injury.

I am back on my kick about trying to decide IF they offer bounce back in December for next August if we should do that or go with the AP discount. I need something to think about while I wait for vacation bids.

Good luck with the vacation planning.

Thanks for the good wishes on the hat. Here's the Pumpkin hat:

I have had the "pleasure" of taking Brother & Sister to a couple of those. It is hard to keep track of 2 little ones in there! Glad you survived!

Bernadette - No wonder Emma hates anything girly or pink! Your subliminal thoughts penetrated into the womb!:rotfl2: I wanted DS to be a girl. When they told me at the sonogram it was a boy I told them that was the CORD between HER legs. But then my OB said that radiologist hadn't been wrong in over a decade, so I decided I better suck it up and plan to have a boy. You can see who was right in this scenario.:rolleyes1

yup your DS!!!

We didn't find out what we were having with either girl...but Cassidy was insistent she was getting a baby sister for her birthday....we've learned to listen to her on that one. :rotfl2:

As I was looking through my photos I came across these that I thought were funny!
I remember Leighanna acting goofy that day, so I told her that I wanted to take a picture of her being silly!

She tried soooo hard to cross her eyes on the last one!

I love them!!!

Emma wants to be a pumpkin for Halloween again this year. I've warned her that the costume might not fit this year. She says she'll go as Tinkerbell. I guess we better try things on or we'll have another year of her going as "Emma".;)

Emma's school photo. The photographer is really great. Emma wants to let her hair grow so it looks a bit too long. I have a hard time getting Emma to look at me when I take her photo so this photographer did really great! Emma told me she got her to smile by screaming at her.:rotfl:

oh my goodness!! What an impish smile!!

I've got agree with all the "they grow too fast" talk today. My sister in law made that sweater for Lizzy when Lizzy was 17 months old. The first photo is one of my all time favorite photos! Just pure magic that I caught that moment as this was taken with a film camera.

again....precious!!!

Elizabeth- Wouldn't that be an unBirthday cake????:confused3 :confused3

Jennifer- Tons of :wizard: :wizard: for implantation and a smooth pregnancy. Hope the pain goes away soon.

Theresa- Sorry, the band didn't do as well as they would have liked. I hope everyone feels better soon. I hope they have an even more fantastic year next fall.

Beth- Love the pictures. I hope our trees look like that soon. Hope Matthew did well on the PSAT.

Jen- Hope you're feeling better.

I'm loving all the flashback pictures.

Good night, Heidi & Amy!

I am going to go look for some dessert. We didn't buy another pie and since there weren't any good cakes at Sam's my choices are limited. I think all I have to work with are Oreos and vanilla ice cream.

you've got more than I have....I snagged a pocketful of tootsie rolls at the band lunch:rotfl:

Thanks!

My co-worker brought in Emma Leigh (pronounced Emily) yesterday. She was the baby I had you praying about for the chicken pox. She never really got them, just some undiagnosed spots that went away. Well Emma Leigh was dressed as a Caterpillar and she left her hood with antennae on the whole time she was there for two hours and happy as a bug. Literally and figuratively.

Also Abby and baby are living with Grandma/Great Grandma and doing well. Luckily they think the abuse stopped soon enough so there should be no long term effects. For the life of me I cannot think of the Baby's name.

I had a plastic costume from a box, with a plastic mask. As you can see I refused to wear the mask

I was also a Butterfly but my Mom made the costume
