Lindsay - Hello!!

Hi, Elizabeth! Boy, you were right about the rain this morning - I haven't seen it pour like that here in quite some time (reminded me of my last MNSSHP ). Fortunately, I talked Jonathan into dropping me off at the train station so I didn't drown in the parking lot! We were having all sorts of street flooding in Plano - saw a Mercedes that got washed out - water half-way up its doors. Made me a little sick to my stomach - I can only imagine how the owner felt! What a way to start a Monday.

What did you think of the game sat.

That is more my type of game. Of course, we were playing Iowa State, but it was nice to see us play an all-round good game. No turnovers! I wish the win had been against a better team, but in this season of college football, I'm taking every win we can get! It seems the scariest place to be is in the top 10 this year.

Elin - I can't access my Entertainment Book from work. I'll try to remember to look when I get home and see exactly what it says. I know I printed my coupons and never did use them. But I think I can go to the page where it says they are no longer availble to me.

Lindsay - Momboss called me on my way to work and said if it didn't let up that Princess could stay home today. But by 9 AM it was just drizzling so I took her to school. Time to pick her up, now!

Wow, it sure has taken me a long time to get from 7000-8000. But then again, two years ago I would have said you were nuts if you thought I was going to be a regular on a chat board of "strangers". How wrong can a person be?

(Anne Marie - I just got your PM today, and I don't know if I got the brochure into the mail today if it would make it before Wednesday. If you want me to, I can send you a pdf of the brochure that I made, so you can review that. Just let me know - same goes for everyone else, too.)

And to think, my stranger meets started with you & I! I was just scrapbooking my 2006 trip and have the picture of you & I. I remember feeling silly at the time wondering if you really cared to meet me or if I was just being silly. I couldn't believe that we were sitting two rows apart by chance. It seemed like fate meant for us to get together. Hard to believe that was over 1-1/2 years ago already.

Somebody asked me yesterday if there were more or less participants this year in the exchange...I thought about the same.....I was wrong!!! There are over 40 participating!!! PHEW!!!! I will get the names picked

We have given Bethie 5 shots so far. The first 4 were very difficult for her (I didn't have much fun either), but last night she cleaned the shot area with alcohol herself as well as picked the shot site. She still does not want them and tries to negotiate out of them. I think the main reason for the pain is because the meds are so cold. It says to give as soon as you can once taken out of the fridge. We keep praising her growth and also have a chocolate jar which was purchased for rewarding after the shot. Thank you again for your prayers!

Oh my goodness how funny!

Momboss and I had talked about getting Princess a Halloween costume, so I bought her a Minnie dress at the Disney Store and put it on the table so they could look at it. In a separate conversation I talked to Dadboss about a Christmas dress for Princess. I bought 3 formal dresses and hung them in her closet so Momboss could choose one (she was out of town when I bought them). Well, Dadboss saw the Minnie dress and thought it was her Christmas dress. He didn't ask me about it though, because he didn't want to hurt my feelings by telling me he didn't like the dress for Christmas. I can't imagine why he wouldn't want her to wear a dress with big polka dots and black sequins to the formal dinner at his parents' house. Momboss finally realized what he thought and she pulled out the Christmas dresses for him to see. Now he feels much better.
