Just wanted to post a pics of the girls dressed in their costumes at the party today.

We still need to add Emma's collar but we're happy with the way it turned out.

how absolutely adorable!!!

Sounds good. I so wish there was a decent Mexican restaurant around here.

That's what my mom says too!!

You need to move here.....can't go a block without a Mexican joint. But I still cook a much better Mexican than most of them.

Hey, when we get out there next summer I'll cook up some for you!! How does that sound??

I bought some Hormel roast beef that you just microwave for 4 minutes and it is ready. DS saw that in the fridge and that's what he wants for dinner. So I guess we're having roast. It was B1,G1 free but they only had one package of roast left. I got a package of brisket for my "free" one - hopefully DH will like that. We'll probably have mashed potatoes and some other veggies to go with it. And CAKE.:rotfl2:

So you found your cake???

We buy Oreos at Sam's. The box has 10 "sleeves" of Oreos in it so it takes awhile for us to finish them. I would have preferred to have a cake from Sam's but since they didn't have any yesterday I decided it wasn't worth going back there today. The grocery store cake better be good or I will be writing a letter to their corporate office to complain about the bad pie AND the bad cake. We don't buy Halloween candy because we don't get trick-or-treaters. Candy sits gathering dust in our house because nobody really eats it. Cake, pie, ice cream, Oreos - that all gets eaten fairly quickly. But not candy. You are welcome to come have a slice of my cake, Bernadette. Ice cream, too.;)

We won't be getting Oreo's from Costco again any time soon...we ate all 10 sleeves in less than a week and I don't even like Oreo's:rotfl2:

So i have to ask for some more prayers--

I had a great time lastn ight and ths morning we all were just lounging around watching a movie--i had left my cell upstairs...the movie ended and we were going to start another when i thought i should check my phone--Ii had 7 miissed calls. My dad was admitted into the hospital for chest pains. They thnk they have ruled out a heart attack but he has an irregular heartbeat. He is in there at least ti tomorrow.. i spent from 1 til now ini the hospital...im exhausted and anxious..please keep my dad in your prayers

I am so sorry that so much "rain" has been falling in your life lately.

I will be praying for your family.

So Olivia left with my mom around 3pm quite willingly. Well she called me around 7pm in tears wanting to come see me and Virginia.

Poor Olivia! She doesn't want to miss out on the fun! She is obviously taking the "sister" thing very seriously!:goodvibes
I love the pic of the 3 of you together! Now you have to get used to having a tiny one again. Or do you handle the newborns at work? I was thinking you work with the moms, but maybe you get to hold the babies, too.:)

well all caught up but need to get some sleep--going to try to head to the hospital before work tomorrow--have a great night

Jen, sending lots of good thoughts to you and your dad!:wizard:

Yes,
:wizard: I dub you, Elizabeth, wise counselor to Her Majesty Queen Theresa

Oh my goodness I crack myself up!!!:rotfl2:

Fabulous!;)

Desperate Housewives was pretty good! My cake was marginal. I like whipped frosting, and the frosting on this cake is the "buttercream" kind. It is kind of greasy which is why I don't like that kind. If I could ever manage to plan ahead I would ORDER a cake from Sam's with the kind of frosting I like. I can't believe the weekend is over! I didn't accomplish ANYTHING! I did manage to squirt some blue cleanser into my toilet before I went to the grocery but that was it! I need a housekeeper.

Welcome to the World Virginia. I love all of the pictures.

I am very disappointed in you all who have lives outside of the DDA:lmao:

Only 5 pages from my last post. :sad2:

Boy do I remember the days of spending a half hour or more catching up...this weekend has been heavenly.

Aidan update:

So we got home earlier today with an SUV full of home health equipment and supplies. I think we need a bigger house, but it was great to know it's becoming more real each and everyday. The Room-In went quite well and we are getting excited for his homecoming. He will be released on Tuesday, but we are unsure of the time. We are planning on arriving first thing that morning and getting him ready for his trip HOME! Mya is quite excited and we have had fun organizing all of the supplies, not really.

Our new prayer request is that we can find some QUALITY home nurses to assist us. We heard many a horror story while on the floor and believe me we will be running them through the tests, to see how they do things. At this point we have chosen to use them only during days and cover the evening work by ourselves. Something about a stranger staying up and watching TV in my living room really creeps me out.

Aidan is doing really well off of the vent and his heart and liver are improving rapidly. He also used a false nose yesterday on his trach and did quite well with that as well. We can not thank you enough for lifting our son up in Prayer over these past few months and know that by God's Intervention this boy is coming home. The Doctor's are amazed at his rapid recovery, but we know that all Glory belongs to the one whom created him.

Now I pray he will let me survive on less sleep. I get the evening shifts.

He sounds close to being home....you all should check out the pictures!! What a handsome prince he is growing up to be.:goodvibes

I have been working on my trip report Sorry I haven't been upping the numbers here.

We went to a foster families house as part of our assignment for Day2Serve. The girls and I cleaned the kitchen from tip to bottom until it sparkled.

The ladies have 4 children in their home....2 were on biological parent visits...2 were at home. While we cleaned the kitchen they watched American Tail...I haven't seen that movie in years...it was wonderful to listen to. They then put in Alladin. :happytv:

The little boy was so sweet and took a liking to Cassidy....he was asked whose in charge...to which his usual answer is me:rotfl: He pointed to Cassidy and said "she is" in his best 2 year old voice.
:lmao:

I just checked a few minutes ago and there was nothing and I am so happy to see this update.:cloud9:

Hope everything goes well and you get some good nurses.:thumbsup2

We ended up at a Hollywood Video store that is closing...less than 6 months after it opened:confused3 Got Rent and Monk:Season 1, 3 PS2 games and a bunch of goodies for $26

I have been working on my trip report Sorry I haven't been upping the numbers here.

Quote your trip report and paste it here. We need to make those returning dig a little for all the juicy gossip, and right now it is too close to the end since it was all posted today!:rotfl2:

We got the makings of Cassidy's costume, except the bone...she's decided to be "teen" Pebbles Flintstone (we saw a costume on EvilBay last night....it said teen Pebbles and she was in pink with leg warmers)

I gotta that's probably a fad that needed to stay buried....leg warmers. :scared:
