Happy, Happy Birthday to your Girls! I won't ever forget their birthday, either. How old will they be tomorrow? 3 or 4? March 21 rocks!

Thanks for the good wishes on the stone. I remember that you have them alot too. Thank goodness for Percocet!
I swear, Denise....everytime I turn around you have a new signature.:teeth:

This one does look really good though. ;)

Well, this has been quite a morning. I got Katie and Jacob out the door to the bus stop this morning, ran around doing laundry and dishes, and getting the twins dressed. Mondays are the day that I help out at the school doing the take-home reading project. We got there, did our bit, and left as soon as possible. Today is "early out" day, so I had to do all the shopping for the twins 4th birthday before Jacob came home early from kindergarten. We ran to the store, got the stuff for cake and ice cream, Winnie the Pooh burgers, Piglet's potato salad, and Owl's fruit salad, then zipped home. As I'm unloading groceries, I saw the light flashing on the answering machine. Then I heard my cell phone ring. Duh! I'd forgotten to take my cell phone with me.

I answer my cell phone, and it's DH. He tells me the school called him to let him know that Jacob slipped on the way to recess and fell into a brick wall. They told him that he had a gash on his forehead, and someone needed to pick him up right away. So, I buckle the twins back in the van, speed to the school with horrible visions flashing through my mind, and get there in record time. Jacob was sitting in the office, holding a bag of ice on his head. He had a gash about an inch long that was bleeding quite a lot (head wounds, you know?). So, I get him to the car, drop the twins off at my SIL's house, and take Jacob to the hospital. Meanwhile, Jacob is freaking out because he just doesn't want stitches. I didn't dare promise him that he wouldn't get any, because frankly, it looked pretty bad to me. The doctor confirmed what I thought, and I had to hold Jacob down while the dr. gave him 4 shots in his forehead (ouch!), and then 5 stitches. Poor little guy tried so hard to hold still, but he was crying hysterically!

Once it was over, we went to Wendy's for lunch, picked up the twins and came home. Whew! I need a nap. Jacob is white as a sheet, and has a headache from Hades! I'm hoping that the Motrin will kick in and he'll get some relief. Luckily, there was no sign of a concussion!

So, how's your day??????

So sorry to hear about Jacob, hope he feels better soon and it heals quickly!!!

Well both of my kids had a really good day today, and they have been asking to go to this new ice cream place right up the road, called Scoops (homemade ice cream). So DH took Nicholas to karate and after he is done Alyssa and I are going to meet them there. How was I to say no with all this talk about ice cream going on today. We will toast to all the birthdays while we are there....Nancy, Denise and Glynis' kiddos!!

Yep, we'll be back on the 28th. Kevin even plans on going to his council meeting that evening, so I'll be online in a deep depression. ;)

Amy :)

Have a great trip, enjoy each day and don't think about getting back before you have left!!! :confused3

Have to share this photo of the kids making Christmas cookies. I was hoping to have it as Christmas card photo but chose one that you could see their faces instead. Got the aprons at Kohl's.

That's such a cute picture! It looks like you were all having a great time, and the aprons are adorable!

Thanks for all the compliments on the pictures! As you can tell, my sister ADORES her niece. Now that she's graduated from Case, she'll lose her webspace soon, so I don't think Matthew will get the same special treatment. :teeth:

Kevin has a meeting with the house owners at 8 p.m. Fingers crossed!!! :wizard:

And yes, I've finally started packing! :cool1:

So Denise, you are going with the Contemporary, huh? I think you'll have a great time! I've never stayed there, but it's way up there on my list of places I love! :thumbsup2 Cute signature, too! :goodvibes

Well, Amy, if I don't chat with you again before you leave (though I probably will), I hope you all have a great time. I'm sure you will! Enjoy your trip! Give Mickey a hug from us all. Good luck with the house!

Glynis,

I can so relate having one of your children getting stitches. It is such a scary sight. One time our oldest son hit his head but only needed a clamp, so the Dr put it on and DH took DS out to the car and he started jumping around and actually smashed the clamp! So DH had to take him back in to get a new one. The Dr actually was amazed because no one had ever done that before :rotfl2:

Kevin just called the owners of the house we looked at last night to set up a meeting for tonight...she said that as soon as we left, her husband said, "Those are the people I want to buy our house!" :goodvibes

They even cancelled their meeting with a realtor today, stating they think they already have a buyer. :sunny:

So, it seems all that's left to do is agree on a number...

Oh, and sell our house and pray that all the financing goes through!!!

Amy :)

Amy,
That is fantastic news (insert crossed fingers here) :tink: :yay:

Our kids will always find a way to surprise us, won't they?

Jacob is feeling so much better. We spent the afternoon watching the Easter movies we have. He loves them, so it really cheered him up!

The kids and I are going to make a Carrot Cake with Cream Cheese icing tomorrow. It'll be their first cake! Then we're going to dinner for seafood.

DH's parents are coming Saturday, so he's taking me to the movie. Our 11th Wedding Anniversary is on April 1st (yes, April Fools Day), and we just got tickets to go to the Symphony and out to a new restaurant called One.Midtown. Should be fun.

I taught all weekend, so I'm wiped. BK is much better. I am falling apart. I still have pink eye, sinus/ear infection, but I also either have another kidney stone or a kidney/bladder infection. My antibiotic should take care of it if it's the 2nd one. If it's a kidney stone, I just wait it out.

Have a great trip! Take lots of pictures!

Denise,

Happy upcoming anniversary :cheer2:

:stir: :stir: trying to stir up some good medicine for everyone

Amy,

I hope that you guys have the best time ever this week! Take lots of pictures, because it will never be the same again after Matthew is born! I can't wait to hear all about your trip! Enjoy the food, the people watching, and what rides you can.

OK, I have to stay off the Pottery Barn Kids website!!! I am ordering stuff for Kyle's "Big Boy" room and can't stop!!

I got some of the Cameron bookcases last week- which are the cutest and the color matches perfectly with the bed we got elsewhere :thumbsup2 I also got some of their storage boxes, but when they came they were light blue, not dark blue like the catalog shows. I called to "comment" on that, and they offered to pick them up for free and credit my account. So now I am back to storage issues, so I just order 4 of their bright red buckets that say "Toys," "Blocks," "Cars," and "Stuff" I wanted to get the red step stool and another red canvas bucket to put under his nightstand for holding bedtime stories, but they are both out of stock for some time, so I managed to stop myself.....this time :rotfl:

I know how you feel. My DD works there and when I go to see her, I want to pick up all the kids things. I did buy the little stuffed green frog chair for her little boy. And she has bought some nice things for her house.

It's a vicious cycle isn't it?!! I'm going to be back way too soon for my taste, and then I'll be lamenting about your trip!

Wouldn't it be great if we could all chipped in and bought a DDA house in Celebration? :rotfl:

Amy :)

I've actually been thinking more and more about moving back to Orlando. I miss it so much. I lived down there for 4 years. I was about 45 minutes to two hours from Disney World depending on traffic. :lmao: The I-4 parking lot can be a killer. I worked at Disney World. I graduated from the University of Central Florida. I miss it so badly. So many of my friends are down there.

I miss just hopping in my car and being at Disney so quickly, walking around Downtown Disney, Pleasure Island, any of the parks, the resorts or the water parks. Or being able to go to Gasp, Sea World or Universal.

I actually wish instead of renting when I started going to school I would have bought a condo. I have a friend who bought a condo the year I started going to school there. It is now worth 3 to 4 times the amount she paid. Unfortunately I did not.

Now I know if I do move back to Florida, I need an extra room or two for all of my DDA friends to come and visit. :rotfl2: But if you all want to chip in for a house in Celebration, I will gladly live in it and you can come and visit when you want. :rotfl:

Becky

OK question for my DDA friends who are DVC owners. Does the $100 discount on AP include only one person or can I get it on two (one for my husband & I)?
