Wasn't that generous... batter made enough to cover two 7 inch cake tins an inch deep ( could probably have used one tin and made them thicker ) I add three squares of chocolate crumbled up (the squares were about 1.5 inch square) then about 20 baby marshmallows which I cut in half.

Once they were cooked and cooled I melted 6 more squares of choc to spread on the top (so 3 squares on each) and then just decorated with mallows... On the one that I experimented with the butter cream I spread that first then poured the chocolate over then the mallows - that was the tastiest one.

Should have taken pics really - took half to work yesterday and DH pretty much demolished the other half last night! I cut each tin into 12 squares as they were quite sickly with all the chocolate and all!

Sounds scrumptious! Makes me wish I could eat sweets again!

Pediatrician just called. BK's strep culture came back POSITIVE. And she went to school today... Boys have to go in tomorrow to get checked for Strep as well.

DH just called. His car is broken down. We're going to pick him up. That means no car for him this weekend, and I have to go to work tomorrow early. ARRRGHHH! How can it all fall apart so quickly?

Oh dear!!!! When it rains it pours!!! You all need some massive pixie dust :stir: to get better!!

Marti,
Well, unfortunately I can't make lunch on Wednesday either. How long can you keep a Chick Fil A sandwich, and how are they left over?

I can't tell you on the sandwiches but we get the nuggets tray often for the girls birthday....and they are yummy warmed back up....they never last long enough to go bad :teeth:

Me too Me too!!! except I get lost at the "wildcats" part.

The kids and I were doing it last night.

Kate - I have to admit that this is the first time I actually watched the thing the whole way through, and I must agree, Zac is yummy! But those kids can't lip sync worth a dang.

Yes that lip sync'ing drives me crazy!!!

Sorry I have been away and have 100 + pages to catch up on!!!

DDA, who has been the last week of October? We're thinking of changing our dates to Oct 28-Nov 4 at the Contemporary (Tower Magic Kingdom View). The kids would miss a week of Kindergarten, but I'm not that worried about it. The problem with the December dates is that their school and the school where I teach are in different counties. They have different vacation dates (the kids get out a week before I would). I'm not allowed to miss the last days before the holiday starts, and the dates we picked I would.

So, would you chance making my boss angry and keep the December trip (kids would miss NO SCHOOL)? Or would you go in Oct/Nov, not have a conflict with work, but the kids miss 5 DAYS OF SCHOOL. And, yes, our school district definitely does NOT approve of family vacations during school time. BTW, the price is only $100 different, so that is not a factor.

Oh, the dilemma!

I think we are in the same school district and they are strict about them missing more than 5 days, it is easier to do while they are younger though and I have done it often. DD is starting middle school this fall so we are not taking them out for our Alaska cruise but as your kids are in kindergarden I would say go for it and enjoy the family time!!! :thumbsup2

I just wanted to share. I made this ID tags for our trip. The first one was for my kids ID. I used the second one for my camera, fanny packs, camcorder, backpack, etc., just changing the names accordingly. I printed and laminated them. Then I punched a hole in one corner and used a key ring to hang them from all my stuff. Even my kids hanged the key ring from their belt loops. Finally I am learning how to post images!!

I hope you don't mind....
I don’t remember if I have posted this before, but I want to share it with you all. And yes, I have a story to go with it.

So my mom was in collage w/ her friend Sandy when they found this poem in the paper one day. They liked it so much that they cut it out and kept it. Yeeeaaarrrsss later Sandy came to visit us for the weekend and she asked my mom if she still had the poem. But of course my mom the said and she went to get it. They talked about the poem and collage for sometime. Sandy went home Sunday night and back to work as a teacher Monday morning. (Sandy lived an hour from where she worked, so she and a few folks who fly to work every day. The pilot of the plane was a friend of hers.) So Monday night while watching the news I see that a small plane had crashed and all of those on board had passed. At the same time Sandy husband called my mom to let her know what happened. So my mother knew right then that in some strange way Sandy was letting her know her time was up. My mother wrote the poem in the card she gave to Sandy’s husband. And now we give this poem out to many people. I put it on a business card with the person’s name on it and either stickers or a picture, and then the cards get laminated. They are very nice to keep in your wallet. Now I have to tell you the poem was originally titled Better late than Never, but because the author did not publish their name when they sent it into the newspaper, my mother felt it would be ok to change the title to I am Eternal.If anyone wants my word doc with the poem on it ready for business cards, PM me and I will email it to you.

Do not stand at my grave and weep;
I am not there, I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow;
I am the diamond glint on snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain;
I am the gentle autumn's rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush,
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft star that shines at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry.
I am not there, I did not die.

That's beautiful! Thank you for sharing!

Know what? I don't even know where I'm going to be yet- but as soon as I know, I'll let you know. But you can just look at the Orlando forecast and you'll know!!

Edited: See what I mean? I just go where I'm told :teeth: Sounds like a good day to try to see you.

To all the other sickies - sorry you aren't well. I'm heading out to the Rec center with my irish son to make a lephracan house and then to Blarney Bingo tonight. Did I ever tell you I can qualify for duel citizenship - Irish and American. But no cornbeef and cabbage - I DO have standards!!! :teeth: Later!

Don't knock the corned beef and cabbage. Mine is cooking as we speak, and I just took my Irish Soda Bread out of the oven and it is smelling very yummy here. In the fridge is a pistachio eclair dessert that I won't be able to eat, but I'm devouring with my eyes. You should give it try!

I just checked shipping on those crocs and it is $7.19 cents - which is about what the 20% off is - so you would only save tax - but the color selection might be better

I'm ordering mine today! I've made up my mind. I think I'm ordering a pair of the Niles and a pair of the Beach styles.

I bought colored bracelets (like you get at a fair or for MVMVP/MNSSHP) at Party City. They were plastic/vinyl (waterproof) and you have to cut them off. I got the kids' favorite colors (lime green, blue, and orange). Each day I wrote "ICE" and my cell phone number with a Sharpie on a bracelet for them to wear. At night I cut it off in the room. Worked great. ICE stands for In Case of Emergency and is a universally recognized alert for kids. You can see them in this picture.

Still catching up.......what a great picture of the kids and the t-shirts look great.

Remember, you are looking in the mirror everyday so it can be hard to see the change (in your own eyes). Take a picture of you now and put next to a picture of you pre-surgery and you'll see the difference!!!

That's a very good idea! I just might have to do that!

thanks. This is actually what they had on for school today for St. Patricks Day!

Don't hate me, Marti, but I had lunch at Chick-Fil-A today. I've been listening to you all talk about it, so today after bowling, Katie and I went out for lunch. She had a regular chicken sandwich (which she loved because it had pickles on it), and waffle fries. I had the Chicken Caesar Club and the fruit cup. Since I can't eat the tortilla, I opened it up and had a mini salad. It was so yummy! I can't wait until I've hit my goal weight so I can go back for a breakfast item. They looked yummy, too! So, I'm right there with all the Chick a lick lovers! Thanks for talking me into it, everyone.

Thanks everybody on all the compliments to my earlier posted design. I'll be happy to do a copy for anybody. Just PM me.

Monica -- your names look great!

Now, here is our other tee design. I'm thinking that the previous one is actually going to be a front of a shirt not the back. I just like it too much. That also means, the designing is complete for our trip. Yeah!!!

Now, I must crop picures for autograph books. Only 9 days left. But I've got to go to bed -- I do have to work tomorrow.

Strep is running rampant in the school out here. Hope the kids feel better SOON!!

Car problems stink! I'll cross my fingers that it is easily fixable.
