I cannot believe it is so quiet on the board, I'm all caught up!! :rotfl:

We have a rainy weekend in store here so luckily DS baseball practice was last night. Tomorrows may be cancelled if the fields are too wet.

Hope everyone has a great weekend, I'm up early as DD came down to our room with a sore stomach and I cannot sleep with the kids in the bed, if it does not get better later will call my SIL who is working at the hospital this weekend and see, she complained yesterday it was sore too.

I have tent camped at FW in July/eary August. All I can say is that is was really really hot. There was no place to get out of the heat other than the buses and bath houses. If you are driving bring an airconditioner to put in your doorway. We flew down with only the bare necessities and I have to say that it is the only time I was ready to leave Disney. We also tent camped a lot, but the heat was something else. BTW Fort Wilderness is our absolute favorite campground and we have camped there 5 times. That is a 28 hour drive from Vermont.

Deb

We're taking three days there and three days home driving.(We'll stay in hotels or with families for those nights) My husband is the only driver in the house. Plus we can take our time and see people along the way and it's still cheaper than flying!! We have one fan(we only have a huge one roomer) and I think I'll probably get another for our screen house. We are planning on swimming ALOT!!!

I have been on the camping forum a lot and have a travel agent who camps at FT Wilderness at least twice a year!! But I may pm you closer to the time to pick your brain  Thanks!!

Sounds like you are going to have some fun!!

I have been sorting out designs for our shirts, door magnets, tote bags etc and cannot believe how quiet the boards has been, hopefully you are all having better weather than us.

DD is still asleep in my bed as she has asore tummy, DS is downstairs playing PS2, DH has gone to look at the house he is building as they are supposed to be working so I have had the morning to play here.

I spent the morning helping my daughter with a new babysitting job....they paid both of us!!! :goodvibes $20 for 2 hours and the moms were in there the majority of the time... :cool1: So I paid for lunch!!

Kinda quiet around here, I think I'll go peruse the rest of the DIS. Hope everyone has a great weekend!!

My DD had a temp of 104, I called SIL at the hospital and she said to just give her some tylenol or such and watch her, we are all still in pj's except DH.

Hi Nancy, good to see you posting, it has been really quiet here, glad all the family are doing well.

Hi all...

Checking in...nothing too new here. No news is good news these days!! Went used car shopping with the teenager...fairly unplesant task. No kids tonight so Bill & I are off to the Weber Grill Restaurant...

Have a good evening everyone!!

Denise - I just bought a book called Disney Party Themes. There are tons of ideas for parties based on Disney movies. There aren't any Power Ranger ideas, but there are tons of Princess ideas. I'll create a file (not red, Kate) and email it to you if you want. I'll scan pages that have pictures of cakes, etc. There are also recipes for food to go along with the theme, etc. Does BK have a favorite Princess? Or just loves all of them?

My DD will be 9 in July and is doing a combined princess party. So, it will be good to get all these ideas out of the book and into my head. Let me know if this is something you'd be interested in.

Oh, there's also some fun Peter Pan stuff. I know that's not on the boys lists, but I thought some of the games, etc. looked cute. Let me know what you want!
Where did you find that book. I would love to get a copy.

Hey Amy I was at Party City today and they had just got the JOJO party suppplies in. DH and I havedecided to do DD's Birthday in JOJO theme. SO now I get to figure out a few games for the kids. possibly 7 girls including DD and possibly 4 boys. ages 7- 1 and 1/2

Our Party City has the supplies now too, but I'm rethinking how much I want to spend, since we're inviting about 70 people. I'm thinking about buying the JoJo napkins but using primary color plates, cups, etc. to save some money. I'm sure I'll splurge on some stickers and maybe the plastic table cover for the cake table too. :teeth:

These are the games I've been brainstorming (I got a lot of these ideas from other websites): Pin the Nose on JoJo, Elephant Peanut Toss (create a poster of Dinky and cut out his mouth and have the kids throw candy circus peanuts in his mouth), Hot "Po-Tater," a sucker pull, and Trina's Musical Tightrope (paint a 2 x 4 and play like musical chairs).

Amy :)

I'm a "sickie" now too. My whole left side ached yesterday, from my ear to my arm, but I pretty much brushed it off. Well, I went to bed around 10:30 p.m. and I woke up at midnight with the worst chills I've ever experienced! I had a fever of 102 and I managed to fall back to sleep after taking some Tylenol. I called my doctor on call today and she said it sounds viral (since I'm still on that daily antibiotic for my bacterial infection) and to just keep taking Tylenol to keep my fever down. I hope this passes quickly. It's weird that all my aches and pains are contained to the left side of my body.

Alyssa has thrown up a couple times this week...once in the middle of the night a few days ago and today in the middle of dinner. But then she acts fine and she doesn't have a fever or anything. I don't know what to think of that.

I'm sure my sister is thrilled that she's here!

:wizard: :wizard: :wizard: to everyone who is feeling yucky. :wizard: :wizard:

Amy :)

I know that Amy is a good baker, but seriously, that is a LONG way to go for some cake. But Chick Fil-A; that's another story!

oh my 70 people.
we are only having the 11 kids and about 12 adults. I have thought about pin the nose on JOJO. I had kinda a thought of Trania's tightrope. We will be having the party at my moms and we will be using her backyard. thinking of doing something with the pool and calling it Kroakys pond.

I actually read about it on the budget board. I was intrigued, so I checked out Ebay. I found several copies there. I got mine for .69 cents plus 2.00 shipping. I figured that was a deal, so I bid and won! (Don't you just love that feeling?) It's been a huge hit with my kids. They will look through the book for hours, planning and plotting their birthdays. The twins are now set on a Pooh Bear party. There are several cute games, crafts to make, a small lunch menu (bear burgers and piglet potato salad), plus a recipe for a Pooh Bear cake and Tigger ice cream.

DS wants the either the Peter Pan party of the Jungle Book party. And my oldest wants to combine elements from all the Princess ideas in the book. So, really, the sky is the limit. Once I looked through the book, my mind started wandering with other Disney movies than those listed in the book, and what you could do for them. The possibilities are endless.

You could check out your library and see if they have a copy, or go straight to Ebay. Good luck. You won't be disappointed!
