I really need a trip to Disney. I don't think I can last until December. I really need to see my happy place. And soon.

after hearing the better than sex cake recipes it does sound liek the cake my mom makes me when i ask real nicely.except it has chocolate chips instaed of heath bars.

I knew I should have read further. Our recipes are so similar, but I don't do the nuts. Good addition! How did it go over today?

I don't do the nuts usually either because my family don't care for them (but the recipe calls for them). It went over very well. My team love it. We had a great meeting. Lots of good food - we had a pot luck luncheon meeting. We are all spread out across the Western UP so only see each other once a month. Very different than sharing an office with your coworkers. We always enjoy our time together. We have a family camping week-end in the summer. They are a great bunch of people.

That did cross my mind but I figure if it was dyslexia he would have problems other than just "b" and "d". I watch him read, and when he is sounding his words, he is working left to right and not mixing things up. I will keep an eye on it. Thanks.

Glad to hear only problems are his b & d.

Dyslexia has cursed my family both males & females.
As there are many forms.
I never had problems with b & d, ect.
My form is more with directions.
I can read a map.
Just don't know what direction to point it in.
I get lost in new areas alot.
Causing me to have anzatity attacks @ times.

My DS 33 problem is mostly letters & numbers.
Has a lot of problems reading.

Sorry - I know you all asked about her last week and I told her to come on here and post but she has been really busy - last week was her anniversary - she is trying to concentrate on real life

her DD10 called me tonight to tell me that Zach is too young for me and that she is in love with him - I asked her if she wanted my folder - she is so excited she can't stand it - she really wants the folder! Guess I will have to part with it!!

I won't use their names but the first girl voted off and the second guy voted off really shocked me - the other two I knew would go!! I didn't think the other two would make the final 12 but I certainly thought they would go out after some of the other ones - I really thought that the girls looks would carry her pretty far -

Dancing with the Stars - Drew and Cheryl were head and shoulders above the others - if he doesn't win I will be shocked - I think the judges learned that bashing Jerry was only getting him sympathy votes -

I am not sure why the judges are going to judge one more dance on Sunday - is that so they can make sure it turns out the way the voting goes?

Dancing with the Stars - Drew and Cheryl were head and shoulders above the others - if he doesn't win I will be shocked - I think the judges learned that bashing Jerry was only getting him sympathy votes -

I totally agree!! Drew was the only one who "danced" the free dance...the other two just moved around. I was trying to figure it out why they get to vote again Sunday...I think they aren't supposed to know how the audience voting goes but I could be wrong.

You mean there is real life? I like this one much better right now. Tell Princess Nancy we miss her.

I was surprised as well...maybe the 1st girl's good looks worked against her?? I think the 2nd guy picked a terrible song for himself. Some much reality tv...so little time! lol

Anyone doing anything good over spring break?? I think we are going to do a 2 day stint at an indoor waterpark/resort. Not really my thing...but the kids enjoy it. A few margaritas should help pass the time!

Ok, I'm really not trying to be a downer, but Rees' surgery for his nose is Tuesday (I forgot completely about it). The surgery center just called for his pre-op. Calgon, Take me Away!

Your not at all a downer. We were all worried with your post yesterday. We are here for you and we are all here to support each other. You have had so much going on lately that I'm not surprised you forgot about the surgery. You are reminded now and have plenty of time to prepare. Best wishes to you and yours.

That sounds like fun!!! I love water parks. Spring Break comes at a busy time for me at work so.....nothing, nada, zip planned for that time.

Which reminds me...I went searching and couldn't find the post to Mickey Tie Dye....the 2 families get together once a month and that's what we want to do next weekend. Can someone point me in the right direction.

Better than Sex Cake

German Chocolate Cake mix
14 oz. jar sweetened condensed milk
jar caramel ice cream sauce
chopped pecans
container cool whip
heath bars

Bake cake as directed in 9x13 pan. Immediately after baking (while hot), poke holes in cake. Pour on caramel sauce and condensed milk. Sprinkle with pecans. Refrigerate. Frost with cool whip. Crush heath bars & spread on top.

It is really easy to make and very decadent.

My MIL makes this cake! So yummy - although being the proper Baptist that she is, I know she doesn't call it "Better Than Sex" cake!

But at the same time - I don't know what she calls it! Maybe she's trying to protect us!

Quick update as it's almost time for the Dancing Final!!

I just talked to my mom. The radiology center is the one who told her and said that they will get her in for the MRI the insurance will pay for as soon as they've got the correct authorization. Mom hasn't heard directly from the doctor but it sounds like they are trying to get this done quickly. I feel so bad because while she is waiting they haven't given her any meds for the pain, nausea or diarhea.

Thanks for letting me tell you all this....I've gotten some really weird reactions from her former coworkers...my current coworkers...so it's nice to come here and vent/talk about it.

Jim's Grandma calls the cake "Better than S e x". Yes this 80 something great grandma spells out sex!! We used to live down the street from a bakery that also sold a better than sex cake...Now that one was better than S E X...fudge and caramel filling, fudge frosting and the moistest chocolate cake i've ever had. Oh! good gracious I miss that cake!!

Kate thanks for all the spoiler tip offs - I have been a good girl again and passed over the posts - after I watch the show tonight I'll have to go back and re-read them so I can see if I agree with all your thoughts :0)

Oh and I'm confused by the olympic thing... I watch the figure skating live between 6.30 and 8pm... so why do you guys have to wait until 11pm or is that just the time they play it back recorded?

Clare -- since Torino is 7 hours time difference (at least from CST) ahead of us, the network has a show in the evening and they show coverage of all the events at that time. They don't show it live because it wouldn't get good ratings with most people at work, school etc.

I hope that Drew wins because Stacy has been dancing since she was 3 according to the website. I know it is a different kind of dance (ballet, etc.) but she still has alot more moves than someone that hasn't been dancing that long. I loved Drew & Cheryl's freestyle. They were amazing. Stacy's was boring! Jerry hardly danced - it was all his partner.
