She sounds like Kyle (who will be 3 in June). He knows the make and model of more than 50 different cars (both matchbox and when he sees them in real life! "No. mommy, that is the h3 Hummer- it's the little one!) He recognizes store logos so well DH swears he can read (yes, at age 18 months, he knew the difference between Home Depot and Lowes :lmao: ). He too can count into the 20's and has known his alphabet for almost a year. He also knows 10 or more colors etc.
What have we gotten ourselves into?????? :rotfl:

That made me laugh DD used to sit in the car at 2 years and call out all the restaurant names as we went by and it amazed us as I'm sure to this day she was not reading them!!! She would also go all the way up the slides at the fast food places and then wouldn't come down the slide with anyone so we had to go up and get her, she was always had a fear and now is totally the opposite.

I'm trying to catch up after a couple and more days off the board.
I am dreading DD going to middle school next year and I am such a crier :lmao:
Ramiro is also entering middle school this fall.
I can't wait no more after school day care.
No more me having to take him back & forth to school.
After 10 years of taking him, maybe I can sleep a little later.

I leave for work when the kids leave but unless DH goes to gym he takes the kids as he has his own business, My dad is at the house most days when they get home and helps a lot with schlepping which makes it so much easier for me but I remember not having any family here to help. Hope it gets easier for you!!

It appears things may be improving for the DDA. But I am still sending :grouphug: and :wizard: to everyone.

Sorry this is so long and I just keep babbling on and on.

I am going to attempt to sleep before going into work at 9am.

Becky

Hope you figure it all out!!

Here's pixie dust :wizard: and :grouphug: and prayers that it works out quickly!!

I bought my shirts today. Michaels has built a new store about 7 miles from my house and their grand opening was today. T shirts for kids and adults were 6 for $10.
I got 3 purple, 3 natural, 3 black, 3 royal blue, 2 pink and 1 gray for DH, 3 periwinkle, 2 lemon lime and 1 hunter green for DH, 2 red they were out of the youth small.

Now I just have to decide what designs to put on them.

If possible I would like pixie dust and good vibes to get some motivation and good luck in the search for a new job.

You got it, Becky! You really do sound like you have too much on your plate! Don't wear yourself down too much, or you'll make yourself sick! Here's hoping you can find a job that you love, that will allow you to do what you need to do for yourself! :wizard: :grouphug:

I wanted Disney.
My budget is really tight.
I went to Overstock.com
I picked out a beautiful quilted comforter set.
I also was able to get Ramiro a bed-in-bag set.
I only spend $163.00 total with shipping. :woohoo:

So, Jo, how did the painting go? Did you get it done? how does it look? Don't you just love Overstock? We got several sheet sets that I absolutely love there!

Another slow day on the thread. Oh well, I got a bunch of autograph pages done today. Colby is still running a slight fever so I stayed home with him while dh and the older boys did more sugaring prep work. Colby has been running a fever for 6 days now and has a nasty cold. He says that nothing hurts (throat or ears). I haven't brought him to the doctors as he really isn't acting too sick other than feeling warm to the touch and the cold. How long should I let it go before I get him checked out? I really don't think that they'll find anything.

I hope everyone had an enjoyable weekend.

I would go tomorrow - just for your own sanity

I just saw the preview for Super Nanny tomorrow night. I knew that it had been filmed about 30 minutes from here. Turns out that the single mother of 2 sets of twins and another daughter is someone that I know. Actually I know her parents. Her father was my junior high social studies teacher and her mom used to work with me at a Bank while I was in college. Now I just have to watch it. The preview made the kids look like real terrors. I know that she is divorced from the father of the kids (he used to work in the deli at my supermarket) and she is now engaged to another man. Wow, something to talk about tomorrow night. :cool1: :cool1:

Believe it or not I'm not going insane. He is pretty good about letting us give him medicine and he isn't acting sick for the most part. I just have to wipe his nose from time to time. He hasn't been eating or drinking as much, but is taking enough to stay hydrated. He has been doing great with the potty training and has been completely dry for 2 nights and 2 naps now. He usually drinks 2+ quarts per day, so now he is probably only drinking a quart. I will check with him in the morning, but there is nothing other than the slight fever that concerns me. :confused3 . Our pediatrician is old school and he knows that I know my kids so well that if I go he fully expects to find something wrong. If I bought him in for this he would probably make an appointment for me...and it wouldn't be GIM :rotfl: :rotfl: .

Deb -- hope Colby is feeling better today.

Hope all the DDAs have a great week!

Colby woke up without a fever today.  Hopefully it won't come back later. He still has a cough and cold. I'm sure that the cough is post nasal drip. If he takes dimetap the cough goes away. He seems back to normal as he is eating and drinking again.

Jacob had a fever for about 5 days before it went away for good. He never complained about anything hurting, but he was pretty lethargic for several days!

I think, if the fever doesn't go away today then you might want to check with your doctor.
