Gee - I thought you were just waiting to wish me a happy special birthday. Yeah - I see where I rate.

I'm waiting for that too...my computer clock and Dis time are not in sync!

Ten minutes to go according to Dis time... :goodvibes

Amy :)

And you know Kate's silence means she's probably designing something fancy for you Marti! :teeth:

How have you been feeling Lindsay? :goodvibes

I actually meant to post, but it's been a crazy day!

I went to a surgical oncologist last week, that specializes in the head/neck. He decided to do a needle biopsy on my lymph nodes, although he was certain they were just reactive after seeing all my tests from my other dr.

Sure enough - test results came back today, and everything is completely fine! My nodes are purely reacting to something, and have actually lessened in size - I bet it won't be long until they're gone for good!

Thanks for asking, Amy - and to all of you for your prayers a couple of weeks ago! :grouphug:

OK so you have 3 kids.
You don't think that took courage. :rotfl2:
Believe me it was very little pain to have it done.
Once in a while I would twish.
Only pain I'm having now is like a sunburn.

I'm thinking of getting another 1.
Maybe a vine with 4 small butterflys.
On my shoulder or arm.
I'm not afraid of the pain. Just afraid to do it.....

I'll do the temporary one and see how I like that.....and keep watching Miami Ink.

Marti and Paul (note I put Marti first so as not to offend  ) I just mapquested the distance between North Hartland, VT and Rochester, NY. It's only 337 miles or about 6 hours. I have 3 boys, 2 of which are about Matt's age. So....when can I expect a visit? You are probably the closest DDA member to my home. Within a couple of weeks we should have the SugarHouse in full swing. Sugar on Snow. yummy. If you really like pineapple I make a mean Pina Colada. Never tried to make a Dole Whip :scratchin .

I read your post that your next trip is to DC so I guess I won't expect you soon, but it would be fun.

Deb
I mapquested North Hartland, VT and you're 157 miles, 2 hours 56 min from me. Of course if I told my DH I wanted to go visit someone I met on the net he'd probably want to take my computer away. :teeth: He does love sugar houses though.....

Loved your potty story. My DD(turned 3 in Jan) was all potty trained for about a month last summer with very few accidents UNTIL...her older sister asked her if she was afraid she'd get flushed down the potty. The first days after that were really rough-poor kid wouldn't go near the bathroom or the potty chair outside the bathroom and didn't want to use a diaper. Now she'll use the potty but still wants to wear a pull up all the time. I'm thinking it will be easier to get back on track when its warmer. She needs to be potty trained for preschool in September. Once she decides she wants to wear panties again I know it will be very quick. I think she just wants undies with a "pocket" like her brothers. :rotfl2: When I asked her on her 3rd birthday how old she was she said "ummm....I'm almost a boy now".

I have always been afraid to have one and after I saw one of my friends right after she got it - I have been too afraid of an infection!!!

Jo - I can't believe yours isn't scabbed or red - I am really impressed - I thought they always looked bad right after - you must have had a great tattoo artist!!!!

Guess what Kate got out of her office last night? That's right...her red Zac Efron folder. She spread it all over her family room for us all to see. :teeth:

She kept making comments like "the pictures you printed" and "the folder you mailed me." I have no idea what she's talking about! She even has Steve convinced that I gave her this folder! :confused3

Amy :)

You crack me up :lmao: :lmao:

And can I just say, I logged on expecting to see a couple of pages like it has been over recent days and there are heaps! What posting party did I miss last night??

Will try and catch up at some point during today...

here is the dole whip recipe I used

it was so easy!!
Pineapple 'dole" whips

Prep: 10 min.

Freeze: 3 hrs.

Makes: 8 servings

2 cans (20 oz. each) DOLE Crushed Pineapple

2 tablespoons lemon juice

2 tablespoons lime juice

1/3 cup sugar

1/2 cup chopped maraschino cherries, mini marshmallow or mini chocolate chips, (optional)

1-1/2 cups heavy whipping cream, whipped

Drain pineapple; reserve 2 tablespoons juice. Set aside.

Place pineapple, lemon juice, lime juice, sugar and reserved pineapple juice in blender or food processor container. Cover; blend until smooth. Stir in cherries or marshmallow or chips, if desired.

Pour into two 1-quart freezer zipped bags. Store bags flat in freezer. Freeze about 1-1/2 hours or until slushy.

Stir gently pineapple slush into whipped cream until just blended, in large bowl. Return to freezer until completely frozen, about 1 hour. Serve.

If it was "so easy!!" Kate how come you forgot the sugar, huh?

:goodvibes :rotfl2:
