The DDA Trouble Free Zone Part 3

Hi, all. The appointment went well with the Neurologist today. DH went too. Rees was very anxious/crying during the entire appt which was good so she could see what we were dealing with. Long story short, Rees definitely is having anxiety attacks and has been diagnosed with Anxiety Disorder. She said it was a good thing we came in as he could make himself very sick. He will start a med tomorrow to hopefully help. We follow up in 2 weeks to monitor his progress. The doctor also feels Rees now falls on the Autism spectrum and she tentatively diagnosed him with PDD-NOS. Not what I wanted to hear, but I'd rather face this head on and get him the help he needs. My parents will be here tomorrow by the time we get home from school. I'm really looking forward to seeing them.

Thanks again for the prayers. I am feeling a little better, but am still very emotional and completely wiped out. My mom told me to go have a beer, and who am I to argue with my mom!

I'm glad that you got some answers today. In my opinion it is better to know what is going on rather than wondering. There are great meds out there for kids now so hopefully they can get the anxiety disorder under control pretty quickly and things will get a little easier.

All right!! Went through the whole night and no pooper scooping for me!!! I did a few things I would normally do as a parent...but as we were commenting on the way out this is the first time we have not stayed until everybody else had gone in over 3 years!!

I also talked to my girls tonight about the "moody mama". SO all in all a good night!!

Good for you! It is very difficult to stop that habit. I was ALWAYS the last one out after Girl Scout functions. I'm proud of you. Way to go!!!!!!!!!!

I have been working all night on DisMates.

For those of you who didn't know (which is pretty much everyone unless you went to the site and saw my little tirade on the front page...), the original board got hacked ( ) and I had to take it down. So now, in its place is a personals search kind of thing. I've been up all night finishing it up ( ) and now it's ready for launch!!

It is here in Dallas, with wintry weather on the way. It will make for good snuggling/sleeping weather, though, this weekend.

The Curious George movie was too cute! I went to their website, and guess what? In the downloads section, they have t-shirt transfers available! Here is the homepage, but watch out if you're opening it at work; the song Upside Down (also cute, BTW) and sound clips from the movie will start to play.

It’s Pizza and Movie Night!!!!! (a.k.a. Friday) We do our best to have a family fun night w/ pizza and a movie. DD’s are 2 ½ and 4, so the movies are usually shorter and all most always Disney. But with DH gone for a few more weeks (he’s been gone 3 so far) we are have Pizza and Cable Cartoon Night. Why not a movie you ask? Because I am not a smart mom and have no idea how to work the Binford 2000 TV/VCR/Remote/sub woofer/ remote control all in one thing my DH set up for the big TV. I can change a tire on the car, I can change my oil and filter, I do a lot of not so girl like things, but goodness I can’t work a stupid movie in the big TV room.

Anyway, Happy Friday to all and have a Great Disney weekend!!!!

Have you asked your 4 year old to help? I can't tell you how many things my DS(just turned 5 last month) has shown me over the years that you do on the DVD or even just with the remote. Kids these days are amazing!

Pizza and movie sounds great! I think I'll stop & get pizza on the way home.
