The DDA Trouble Free Zone Part 3

I was asked to post pictures of the boys for their themed days at school. Wednesday was heritage day and they just wore leather indian style moccasins that they had made. I forgot to take a picture yesterday which was "Disney" day. I had offered to make them new shirts, but they said they already had plenty to choose from They ended up wearing their tye die Mickey head shirts. Nick came home and said that one of his classmates met him at the door and unzipped his coat because he knew Nick would have the coolest shirt . Today was crazy clothes and hair day. I took these photos afterschool so some of Nick's blue hair gel had been wiped off since he constantly touches it when it has "stuff" in it

Nick - He chose to wear his Hades costume from last october

Hunter - He wore parts of his Zombie/Goul costume from Halloween.

It is here in Dallas, with wintry weather on the way. It will make for good snuggling/sleeping weather, though, this weekend.

OMG!!!!! THE MOST EXCITING THING HAPPENED TO JULIA AND I TODAY!!!

We were shopping at WalMart today and we got the LAST copy of the High School Musical CD - we have been looking everywhere for it - but with it being so popular it has been harder to get than the Cabbage Patch Doll I wanted when I was 10!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

She and I were so excited - she told me now I can learn ALL the words!! AND it has two karoke tracks on it - so we came home popped it in our karaoke player and sang along -

talk about a great mood pick up!!!!

Nick is with his grandparents so we had a mommy and Julia day - it was so much fun - she had me cracking up all day long - she found an old pack of oreos in my car and asked if she could feed them to the birds - so she threw them out my car window when we were parked and then said "Bye Oreos - I am sorry you are old!!" I was cracking up laughing

then - I told her our toys r us is closing - and she said "Just like Johnny's toys did?" and I said - "yep - I guess not enough kids were buying toys"

then I said "where are we going to buy are toys - how will we get you princess stuff now with all the toy stores closed?!?!?"

she looked at me and said "mom you can buy toys at regular stores - we don't have to go to toy stores - JUST CALM DOWN!!"

we had so much fun together today - just what this mom needed!!!!

Just sitting here driving myself crazy..I have to call Tuesday for my adr's....I have changed my mind 1,000 times!

I love the Toys conversation....I get a geesh look quite often!! calm down is another favorite of my 2!!

That sounds like a terrific day! I bought dd the High School Musical cd for Valentine's Day. I got the last one at our Target and felt very lucky.

I love, love, love my kids at the ages they are at, but I do miss those preschool days an awful lot, too.

I am most especially glad to see you back and in good spirits. I've been thinking about you. Is PrincessNancy ok? She hasn't been around either.

I call tomorrow for Le Cellier, and then I can all for everything else starting on the 20th. We are spending our first week off-site, so for right now I have to call daily.

Sounds like you and Julia had a fun time, hope you are witing down all the funny things they say, my neighbour still cracks up about what Tarryn said 9 years ago, him and his brother still thing it hysterical.
It is so not fair that they grow up so quickly!!!

I am starting to get excited. Things have been so crazy at work recently that I haven't really done all of my last-minute packing, planning, etc. I'm afraid I'm not going to have any new t-shirts this time either (gasp!). Being that I have yet to learn these design programs to do it myself, I'm just going to take a couple of my generic ones from last trips. My DH did say he was disappointed that I wasn't making a new one - he wants one to memorialize our crazy fun year with an AP - something like "Our Year of the Mouse" with all of our dates/resorts on it - kind of like a concert tee. Oh well - I'm just glad we're going - and soon!

I did just do something somewhat crazy though - I changed part of our reservation! We were staying at the Swan on SPG points, and I started thinking this morning - why not use some of the DVC points that I was going to have to look at renting anyway? Our Poly reservation can't be cancelled without a one-night's penalty (booked under the old AP Best Rate Plan), but I'd never thought about canceling the Swan part of the reservation. We don't even care for the Swan all that much, either! So, called this afternoon, booked a studio at our SSR home, and now we'll be able to use those SPG points somewhere else cool we've been wanting to go, like Whistler to celebrate our anniversary or Fiji, where DH wants to dive. I can't believe I didn't think of it before! And, it's all still "free"!

What are your plans? Would love to see if we'll be in the same neighborhood at all!

YEA for you guys! I downloaded the album off of iTunes a couple of weeks ago - I figured I wouldn't be able to find the CD, as they seem to be sold out everywhere. Very fun driving music!

Yes, fun but nerve-racking...I think I have the final list...among the adr's are Le Cellier, Chef Mickeys, Prime Time, Crystal Palace, 1900 PF, Chefs de France, Garden Grill, Kona, Boma, Roma ( hmmmmmmm) and somewhere in there I'd love to fit Cape May & Beaches & Cream...oh boy do I need to lose weight for this trip.

Has your son been on the Albatross cruise? I was thinking about it for my 3 kiddies but the youngest is 5 & I was kind worried about her on a boat without me...but the thought of 2 hours with DH sounds nice though!

We are at POR from the 4-12. These are tentative plans and may be modified depending on weather, etc.

3/4: We are hoping to go to the Poly to watch the Electric Water Pageant then to MK for Spectro & Wishes. This is only if we feel up to it since our flight leaves GB at 6:43am.
3/5: Chef Mickey's ADR then MK most of day
3/6: MGM or Water Park in morning (depending on weather), 50's Prime Time dinner ADR, MGM evening
3/7: MK in morning, POR to rest, Planet Hollywood dinner ADR, DD and LaNouba in the evening
3/8: MGM or Water Park in morning (depending on 3/6), AK in evening, dinner at Tusker House or Flame Tree (whichever strikes our fancy when it's time for dinner)
3/9: Akershus Princess breakfast ADR, then Epcot in morning, no plans for rest of day yet
3/10: No plans for morning or afternoon, LeCellier's dinner ADR, and Illuminations
3/11: No plans yet
3/12: Flying home

This will be his first time on one of these activities. He'll be 7 by then, and I think he'll love it.

One nice thing for you is that yours will have each other. My older two will be turning 13 and 15, so obviously they can't (and don't want to!) go. Miles is good at new situations and making friends easily. I think he will have a great time! Laura would never have done something like that alone.
