Good morning, everyone! I am so glad it's Friday! Tomorrow we are taking the kids to the National Museum of Natural History in DC. Should be exciting since none of them have been there. Now that my kids are getting old enough to appreciate museums, I've decided to start taking advantage of what's in my backyard, so to speak. Then Sunday afternoon Nicholas has a soccer game. So far they are 3 and 1. Sometime in there I need to do laundry, get Alyssa's hair trimmed, get her new tennis shoes and exchange the flats that I got her that are too small, do laundry and go to the grocery. Now you know why I'm not around as much!!!

Anyway,

Glynis - wonderful report and pictures! Thanks for sharing. I'm glad you all are feeling better. Enjoy your weekend!

Heidi - :wizard: for a fast closing and easy move.

Robyn - I hope you had a wonderful birthday!

Deb - How are you feeling today?

Elizabeth - you certainly are a pin fanatic!

Thanks to those of you who perked me up with your nice comments.

One more thing.................

My back is just now starting to hurt, but it's almost nap time so I think the 3 of us will be napping soon. I've been hanging out over on the Fort Wilderness Forum. I'm checking out the picture of the day thread. I need ideas on how to decorate our campsite next summer :goodvibes

Thanks everyone for the wonderful birthday wishes. It means so much that you are all a part of my family :goodvibes

Elin- I just loved the Pluto pic!! It brought a big smile to my face.

I had a really good day yesterday even though it was jammed packed. Between the stuff at Emma's school, tidying up the house, the daycare kids, homework, visiting with my cousin, cooking dinner for 7 (I would have ordered out but my cousin travels all the time and eats out way too much so I like to have a home-cooked meal for her)and then cleaning up (Eric helped a lot) I was exhausted by the time everyone left.

It did however end on a bad note as I found out one of my mom's cousins died from a heart attack yesterday. She was in her 70's. Her parents are both still alive, my uncle is 95 and my aunt is 94. They just put my aunt in a nursing home about 2 weeks ago and my uncle is still living on his own in there house. It saddens me that they outlived their daughter. I hope they are able to handle this.

Tammi- Thanks for posting the poem. I commend you for everything you do for your kids. I know for a fact that I would not be able to do what you do each and every day. Enjoy the Museums! If we weren't so busy we'd join you, Emma loves DC.

Glynis- Loved the wedding report! What a ceremony. Sorry that you all were so sick. Enjoy your visit with Alan.

Deb- Please take care of yourself. I think you have me beat as far as being busy. Slow down.

Tia- Enjoy camping this weekend. Safe travels to CA.

Elizabeth- Hope the zoo was fun and not too hot. Step away from :surfweb: and ebay.

Heidi- Hope the closing and move in are smooth and stress free. Glad your mom is feeling better.

Theresa- :cool1: :cool1: I am so excited that you will be here next summer!! I see another DDA meet in the making. Emma will be thrilled to see the girls. Eric wants to know their babysitting rate?

Karen- How's your grandmother?

Heather- Did RJ get his cast off?

Tom- Tell Leighanna thanks for the birthday wishes. What great costumes!! Emma did not recognize Leighanna, she really thought she was Alice! :rotfl: I think we have decided on our costumes for this year. Emma is going to be the Evil Queen or the Old Beggar Woman from Snow White, Mo is Snow White and Lucy will be a dwarf, probably Dopey.

I know I've missed a bunch so :wizard: to you.

Off to do some :laundy: while the kids go down for their nap.

Thank you, Elizabeth, Heather, Elin, Tammi, and Robyn.
1/2 hour till the closing, then over to clean and start moving things in.

I am sorry your birthday ended on a sad note. I am betting that the babysitting rate is giggles and fun. :rotfl:

Tammi - you beat me to it! I'm still gonna post it anyways though! (BTW...guess what I sent in the mail today?? HUMM....)
Deb - You should also be getting something today too.

Hmmm I wonder what that could be :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Colby and I were sitting here this morning when I hear a knock on the door. I go to answer it, but it appears that no one is there...until I looked down and saw a box. Brooksie is home from his travels. Colby's played with him a bit and I will take some photos when the boys get home. He has so many neat outfits and goodies. Colby loved the little backpack.

well I wiped down all the doors today and cleaned the baseboards and windowsills in the kitchen. I was going to mop but realized I was out of Pinesol. Have to go to walmart on the way home tomorrow night. I also wiped down the high chair, and all the chairs that go to the kitchen table.

Afternoon everyone,

Well we're under a Tropical Storm warning, they have issued a mandantory evacuation for those who are still in Fema trailers, and the winds have actually started to pick up. I don't expect a lot from this one, but it should make for an interesting weekend.

Robyn, sorry I missed your Birthday, and sorry to hear about your loss. Please don't stop posting pictures of the girls, they always brighten my day.

It sounds like you are in full nesting mode. Virginia must be wanting out:goodvibes Or maybe Mom is just wanting Virginia out :confused3 It sounds like a very productive day. I wish that I'd get motivated to clean, my house could use it.

:wizard: :wizard: For a mild storm and little damage.:wizard: :wizard:

Debbie - I hope the storm is just a little wind and rain! Stay safe!

Robyn - I am sorry to hear about your cousin! Sounds like your day was busy!

Deb - One day of taking it easy won't kill you!;)

Tammi - "Pin fanatic". Is that a nice way of saying "Hopeless addict"?:rotfl2: DH really is the WORST enabler I have ever seen. And he has been moping about not having any traders. I just paid for another 26 pins, so I only have one transaction still pending. I didn't win anything else from him today and I don't expect to win with low bids on the weekend so I'll try for some next week and then call it good. The problem will be convincing DH and DS not to keep the traders I bought. I do know of at least one pin each that we'll be keeping, though. I hope your weekend goes well! The museum sounds like fun!

Jennifer - Want to come clean my house? I hear that induces labor.:rolleyes1
The Arboretum was good. It wasn't too hot until about 11:30, and we were leaving then anyway! Despite my protests Princess stuck her hand in a fountain and ended up getting rather wet. I didn't have a clean shirt for her so I guess it's good that it was hot! My crown fell off AGAIN at breakfast so when we left the gardens we went to the dentist. I will be glad when the permanent one comes in! Well, I'll be glad IF it stays on!

I told Jeff that I did this about 2 weeks before I had Olivia. I cleaned all the doors and base boards before Olivia came. The day before I went into labor with Olivia I trimmed the rose bush in the front yard. It was a climbing rose bush and it had grown haywire. So I trimmed it down to nothing.

Sorry but we don't want Virginia coming out before Oct. 13 as that is 36 weeks. Of course my mom keeps saying she is coming Oct. 20th. I would rather her come after the 27th of Oct. But she will come when she is ready.

Fair enough! I'll mark on my calendar that you want to clean my house October 12.;)

Princess, supreme champion of the Crummy Nap, has been sleeping for 2.5 hours. I promised Momboss that we would go to the grocery this afternoon, but that might be tricky if we don't leave soon! I guess we'll go when she wakes up and I will tell Momboss that Princess could use a bath tonight. She has sunscreen on and she did splash in that fountain.:scared: But at least if I get the shopping done they won't have to leave the house.

What Deb said!!

So I was looking at Jeff's honey do list before the baby comes and it is down to 1 page now. I went down his list and gave him dates to do some of the things by.Over the next 2 weeks as that is as far as we have his schedule.

Mine is I still have to pack
address Christmas cards
Make Olivia's big sister shirt trying to decide if it should be long sleeve or short. Its hard to make that decision here in Texas.
Finish finding places for some things.

Debbie you are in my thoughts. :wizard: for calmer weather

Deb take care of yourself, you have a very important trip coming up ;)

Jennifer I agree with others, you can use that cleaning energy at my house :thumbsup2

Tammi sounds like you have a fun weekend planned!

Glynis have a wonderful weekend!

Elizabeth you are addicted lol(but it is a good addiction :teeth:)

Chanon I love the picture you posted with "Your Bob" lol

Robyn glad you had a good birthday, sounds like it was very tiring for you though.

Sorry if I missed anyone :wizard: & to all

Thank you, Robyn. I'll let you know next time we head up there, or even to the Aquarium, which is on my to-do list. I'd love to get the kids together.

I'm so sorry about your cousin. I hope your aunt and uncle can find peace.

Tammi - you beat me to it! I'm still gonna post it anyways though! (BTW...guess what I sent in the mail today?? HUMM....)
