HAPPY BIRTHDAY, ROBYN!!!

Glynis - I was delighted to come on here tonight and see you posting the wedding trip report! I guess the DDA PD Express works!! :)

It sure did! That and crawling back into bed after getting the kids off to school this morning. I've been feeling steadily better all day long! Hooray!!!

Lots of :wizard: :wizard: :wizard: :wizard:, and many prayers, too. Get well, guys!

I know that's got to be a weird feeling, Deb. I hope it passes soon! What med is it? Jonathan works in that area and might be able to recommend asking for something else that doesn't have those side effects.

The med is Citalopram. I only felt like I was in fast forward for the first few hours then that feeling went away. Hopefully I will get used to the med quickly and all will be ok.

I managed to find someone to work for me tomorrow night. I was feeling horrible by the end of the night tonight and I was only the hostess. I don't work again until Sunday so hopefully I'll be feeling much better by then.

Ok, first batch of pictures: the cake.

The cake itself was a square 3 layer cake. My sister put it on a stand that created a "floating" effect. It was a spice/nut cake with separate fillings in each layer. The bottom layer was filled with a chocolate ganache, the middle filling was a pecan praline, and the top was white chocolate ganache. The night before the wedding, she had filled all the layers, and still had tons of filling left over. So, while she was applying gold dust, we made graham cracker sandwiches with the leftover fillings. So yummy with a glass of cold milk!!!

Jamie's colors were cinnamon and chocolate and my sister created fondant lilies in a cinnamon color with chocolate leaves. Each was handpainted, and then brushed with "lustre dust" in gold. So beautiful!

On Saturday morning, the cakes were covered in fondant, and then patterns of edible pearls were put on top. The flowers were put in place, and small votive candle holders with battery powered candles were put on the cakes. The cake topper was a porcelain bride dragging a reluctant groom by the ankle. Very cute, and so like Josh and Jamie's humor! At the reception, the cake was placed in a wrought iron gazebo. My dad was looking at renting one, but the closest place he could rent one from was Las Vegas and it would cost him 350 dollars plus shipping and assembly costs. However, he was able to buy one for 400 dollars. He did that, and after the reception, gave it to Scott (the man who's backyard we invaded for this).

The cake and the girls are all beautiful. I really enjoyed reading about the wedding. I'm so sorry that the kids got sick and missed parts of the festivities. Hopefully it's run its course in your house. :wizard:

Heidi good luck with the move this weekend.:wizard:

Good luck with the move. How is your Mom feeling?

This is my formal notice: I'm leaving tomorrow afternoon to take the kids to see Alan, and see some plays at the Fall season. We'll be seeing the Tempest tomorrow, Art Saturday afternoon, and the Mousetrap on Saturday night. We're coming home Sunday morning. So, if y'all keep the posting down, I should be able to catch up quickly!

Happy Birthday Robyn!!!

Hope you got some rest today...and your family treated you like the princess you are!!

Glynis-what a great wedding...I am sorry it took two spews before Alan finally heard you...poor Jacob.

Heidi-have fun helping mom and sis move tomorrow!!

Deb- hope the meds kick in quick...I think a couple of days off is just what the doctor ordered.

Remember me telling Jacob not to eat or drink anything? Well, Alan let him pig out on cheese crackers and milk. Let's all say it together, DUH!!! I guess the barfing pyrotechnics were unbelievable!!! Luckily, Alan was there to clean it up! Think he'll listen to me now? Stay tuned!

Oh my gosh, I gagged a little bit at this! :scared: Even I know that you don't mix dairy with an upset stomach. Hope Alan will listen to you now!

The wedding looked so great, and full of happiness. I loved all the girls' dresses and hair-do's, and what a good sister you are to have done all that work for your brother. Here's some :wizard: :wizard: that the sickness has run its course. Be safe in your travels this weekend!

 I love you guys! I'm home. I got home about midnight last night and got to sleep in until 8:30. I worked from home all day. Chuck & I will be heading out around noon tomorrow to go camping up in Marquette. Katrina's 22nd birthday is Sunday. We'll also be going to Chuck's parents because his aunt & uncle will be there. Katrina really wants to go see them.

I will have to be in Lansing again next week.

Welcome home, Vicki. I hope you get some R&R in this weekend, and "happy birthday" to Katrina!

I'm enjoying myself so much ripping my cd's to play on my Zune. We have so many great CD's and I just can't spend enough time finding the songs that I want. This is so wonderful. I can sort by artist, song, album, and genre. It is so neat. If there is a song that I have running through my head that I want to hear, it will be so easy to be able to play it. I can see why Chuck was enjoying his so much. This is one of the coolest things that I've had in a long time. I think the last time was when we got our DVD player. :cool1: :yay: :dance3:

Welcome to the digital age! ;)

I was so excited - I found the pilot for "Back to You" on iTunes as a free download tonight! :thumbsup2

I just had to laugh, because as she tossed the bouquet, not one of the girls made a move to catch it! Not even a flinch. Just as it was about to hit the ground, my Katie reached out for it and caught it. We were all laughing so hard!!! I've never been to a wedding where the girls didn't at least make a token dive for the flowers!

That happened at my wedding. You would have thought that bouquet held the plague. :rotfl: My mom's college roommate (who caught my mom's bouquet, and has been divorced for many years) stepped up and caught it when we had to do the toss for the 2nd time!

Tomorrow is the closing and the big move. Don't know how much I will be on. pixiedust: and :grouphug: to all.

Good luck! I hope you guys have good weather, and that all goes smoothly at the closing! :wizard: :wizard:

Unless I am mistaken, we have missed something IMPORTANT!!!

I hope you had a wonderful, magical day!

So somehow our cat got out....we probably wouldn't have realized it until the morning if Cassidy hadn't been at a football game and needed to come home.

Jim and Cassidy got out of the car and asked who was the calico next to Henry (an outdoor Calico....I hate the fact he's out all the time...but that's another rant). Well it was Pearl visiting her boyfriend...:rotfl:

It's really sad when that is the most exciting thing to happen all day. :rotfl2:

26 days people!!!! 26 more days!!!!

:dance3: :dance3: :dance3: :yay: :dance3: :woohoo: :woohoo:
