Yep I think the moms are more upset than the kids.lol...I did that as a kid....no sooner had stitches come out of one eye than I cracked the other one open.
How are you and your family doing?Hi, Christie!
Glad to hear Effie is back to himself!![]()
Thanks I almost wish it had been more traumatic to him (like it was too me) than he might be more careful.

Wow my neice jumped off their couch and one time she landed wrong and hit her face on the coffee table. It looked like she was in a brawl for weeks. My sister had to keep explaining to people.DS11 has never had stitches (knock wood). Brother (the little boy I nanny) is 3 and not too much of a daredevil, but I am always telling him he will crack his head open. He tips chairs back on 2 legs, he jumps head first off the sofa, stuff like that. Hopefully Effie will get a sense of self-preservation soon and start to be more cautious, or at least save the dangerous stuff for when you aren't looking!![]()

DEAL!It was pretty simple to make! (If you show me yours, I'll show you mine)
Sounds like you had a long, rough day. I hope the police have good luck. This has been a long day! I took Garrett to his scrimage game & it started pouring, so it was canceled. I brought him home & went to work. I was ready to leave work around 3pm & the skys opened up & it rained so hard. The wind was blowing just right & we soon had a flood in our building. We had water everywhere. Between the wet vac & mopping, my back is not to happy right now. It was still raining when I left so I came home. Once it stopped I went to the grocery store. When I left the store I realized I forgot milkSo I stopped by work. There was a lady there that had left her wallet on the counter & it was nowhere to be found. So I went in the office & watched the video. The lady had left her wallet on the counter & the customer behind her scooped it up, just like it was hers. I called the police & had to wait for them. Finally after about an hour I was able to leave. I only needed a gallon of milk
The police took the tape so they could view it better & the lady had a good description of the person that took her wallet. I really hope they catch up with her!
Ok I feel better now & the Fuzzy Navel I am drinking tastes pretty good![]()
You are so organized! I'm jealous. We got a tremendous amount accomplished here today. It feels really good. You are all going to think I'm a big dork, but I've got most of our Disney Outfits packedI had bought new shorts (or bathing suits) on clearance at the end of last summer. The shirts that I designed go with the new shorts so I'm packing them that way everything will be nice and new for the trip. Chris decided that we should just wear plain white T-shirts with one set of shorts so that means one less design to do. I also ordered Mickey Hawaiian shirts from Disneyshopping and I'm waiting for one that I had to size exchange to arrive then those will be set too. So at days end I just need to make new tie dye shirts since the boys grew out of theirs. I think I'll do a blue tie dye for myself as I can't find a royal blue shirt to match the boys. At least I feel like I know where I'm at. We will each have 8 outfits which means I will need to do laundry, but a lot less luggage. I'm thinking we may be able to do 2 suitcases plus our carryons. That would mean we could rent a smaller car.
Tomorrow morning we are taking the boys to a fishing derby. Then I have to be at work at 3PM. I guess the day is already shotHopefully I will get a lot done on Monday too. The restaurant is closed so I have the whole day off.
You were busy too, Theresa. I'm glad you are settling in and making your house a home.We had a busy day.....
finished clearing out the huge storage unit. Jim and I are arguing....he didn't hear the 16 times I told him to take this hunking big piece we were given to Savers. When I accepted it I was going to use it as an entertainment stand...now it wouldn't even fit it in our front door. So we may never see our garage to use for Wheezy.
We got flowers and veggies for our little garden and peat moss.......decided to put the flowers in the pots we were left....I hope they take. Got the peat moss incorporated and will plant the veggies tomorrow.
We then went to Cassidy's boyfriend's grad party for a few minutes...he's a good kid. Than I went to a Homemade Gourmet show, yummy stuff.
We also went to PETCO to check out kitty cats....nobody seemed to have a reaction....but none of the kitties jumped out as ones that needed to come home tonight with us.
Than we went to Dairy Queen....I can't eat it but it's a nice treat.
Now I am tired.
Hi Christi. It's good to see you.Hello everyone. Hope everyone's having a nice Memorial Day weekend![]()
We're fine, thanks! DS finished school on Thursday. He is looking forward to a relaxing summer. He starts middle school (6th grade) in August.
I start a new nanny job at the end of June with one little 18 month old girl. I am very excited! Of course I will miss my current little ones very much, but I will still get to see them.
DH is working a ton right now, but he will have some days off starting in June.
So how are things with you? How are the other boys and your DH? Any big plans for summer?

At my last job one of the boys had a horrible week where he kept having accidents. He fell at the playground and banged his forehead so he had this HUGE bruise. A few days later he was running through the kitchen and banged his head on the little snack table, so he had a bruise across 3/4 of his head. That weekend he managed to fall outside and bruise the remaining piece of forehead so his entire head was black and blue. It was tricky to explain that he had 3 separate injuries that happened on 3 different days.
We still have 2 more weeks of school. But I'm looking forward to the summer I am burnt out. Being a stay at home mom I got convinced to take over the Appreciation teacher basket and I am not a solicitor. Only 5 out of 17 parents donated things so I just took it out of our budget to make the basket look nice. But I'm not one to know how to shop for other people so hopefully the teacher liked it. I have ended up taking over some projects I din't sign up for at the last minute this year. I told DH I just want to do the stuff I pick next year because that's the stuff I'm good at and I feel bad if I mess up something at the kids school.

Hello, How are your dear kids doing?DEAL!![]()

Hi Christi. It's good to see you.
Nope they didn't buy any gift. I even told them they could donate gift certificates or something to make it easy. I'm just not a pushy enough person to solicit. When I was in the Girl Scouts I only ended up selling 2 boxes of cookies most years. It is tough to be the one in charge when the other parents have low participation! Less than one third is pitiful! Do you think they bought gifts on their own or just didn't do anything? I would have definitely donated to a group gift if that would have been an option. I suppose I could have organized it myself, but too late now! I am sure the teacher liked the basket you put together because it showed her that you were thinking of her! I agree with sticking to the things you are comfortable with. Whenever I commit to something I am not excited about I tend to procrastinate and do a less-than-stellar job on it.
Hi I got your postcard Thank you it was very cute.Hi everyone :0
When will you get to see them? 18 months that's such a cute age.Hope DH gets some relaxation time soon.
No big plans I will be trying to get Zack caught up with reading and math before school next year.
Hi everyone :0
Hello, Jen! How was the party?
Their mom has made me promise that she will have priority for asking me to babysit. And I will probably call and ask to see them now and then on the weekends just because I will miss them. I think I will still be allowed to take them for ice cream or to a movie or something as long as we plan it in advance. They just don't need me full-time anymore, so it isn't like I am leaving on bad terms.
Does Zack enjoy academic stuff? It is like pulling teeth to get DS to read over the summer, but I make him read at least 20 minutes every day. There is a neat website www.mathfactcafe.com where you can design and print your own math worksheets. I used it a lot when DS was younger.
