Yes it is! Riley is not sure who the judges are, hopefully a mixture of students & teachers. Each part of the debate is worth 50 points & goes towards his final grade in Social Studies. Riley is a talker, but I'm not sure how talkative he will be for this lol

Quick synopsis on spring in the Hardman household:

--3 trips to Kings Island
--2 trips to the zoo
--countless trips to the park
--first trip "home" (Old Key West) booked for December 1-8
--Matthew is crawling and creeping all over the place (he even attempted the stairs this morning )
--Alyssa is 95% potty-trained and loves public bathrooms
--Kevin is unopposed (again) in the fall election
--Party planning is underway for a big celebration on 07/07/07
--we're attending a family reunion in Canaan Valley, WV from 6/30-7/3
--I'm never, ever going to catch up on the laundry

That's all I can think of right now.

Welcome home, Jen!

I just went to buy gift cards for DS's teachers. Tomorrow is the last day of school and I realized I didn't have anything for them! They had their awards today. The video montage wasn't too long, but the photos weren't the best. DS wasn't even in it, except for in the class photo. I bought him a yearbook instead.

DS got a perfect score on the Science TAKS! We are so proud of him!! He also got commended performance in Math and Reading. His other awards were Outstanding Performance in Reading, Art, and Science, as well as a citizenship award that was voted on by his peers.

Congrats to him -- that is truly awesome! I hope dadboss steps in quickly and helps you out, and that they find some good candidates quickly as hopefully that would help.

I also forgot to mention rental car for day before and the day after the cruise is booked, also the hotel room for day before and after is booked as well. Just need to book trip insurance and pay off the trip. September cannot come soon enough.

I gotta decide on excursions, Palo, etc as they can be booked June 10th and 17th. I know, the shame I do not already have them decided on.

I'm so jealous of your back 2 backs! I hope you have a fabulous time!

I have to share this with you guys..
I have posted about Alyssa here before--Well, her favorite band was Maroon 5...Their new album came out yesterday and the entire thing is dedicated to Alyssa--i went to DTD to buy the cd and got goosebumps and almost started crying right there...Alyssa would have loved it--i had to share!

That is wonderful! Your pictues are great -- keep them coming. I can't wait for the TR.

Janet -- how is Riley feeling today?

Amy -- good to see you posting. I guess Kevin has scared off all of the competition! Post some pics when you can.

Andrew has his awards ceremony at 1:30 today, then both boys are out of school. We have more rain in the forecast, but so far this week, they've just been short showers/thunderstorms. Hopefully it will all hold off today until after the games tonight.

Wow! You should be pretty proud of DS. Tell him congrats from me. I'm sorry you are having such issues with Momboss. I hope she doesn't make problems with your new employer.

We are very proud of DS! I need to go get him some Disney $ today. I have been really slacking on the $ - I need to get caught up so he has some money for the trip. If I give him "normal" money he spends through it here at home.
I am hoping that by warning my new bosses that they may be approached about extending my start date that they feel comfortable saying "No", because MY answer was "No" and that's the end of it.

Cassidy said it went okay...she almost finished it...I went almost???? But I do know she tried her hardest.

I hope she passed!

We didnt get selected to be in it--just went to get a picture with him afterwards!

I think it was ust overcast--i never noticed any fire haze

It was high 80s everyday--warm, but not unbearably hot

I cannot believe how many of your kids are already out of school, or almost so! Our schools are in session through mid June here!

OMG! I just heard screeching tires & a loud crash. There is a beauty salon across the street from me & an older lady just drove her car into the side of the building Her car is sitting halfway inside! I here the sirens now.

The lady did get out of the car, so hopefully she is ok & everyone that was inside. I gotta go outside & see.
