Tell that to the mother that sat behind us today. The baby was fussing before the previews even started and I kept hearing them behind me say "this isn't going to work." Luckily someone did get up and take the baby out.

Just for the record - I feel asleep during Meet the Robinsons too.

I am glad they took the baby out! Brother's first movie was "Curious George" when he was about 3. I can't remember if it came out in the Spring or Summer. I know we went with a big group from the preschool. It was at the Studio Movie Grill where they have big leather chairs and you eat while you watch. He sat in my lap and was an angel the whole time! He sat in my lap for Robinsons, too, at the regular theater. I prefer the kids to be 2.5 - 3 years before we try to go to a movie.

I took Nicholas for the first time when he was about 2.5. We went to see Monsters, Inc. and I sat in the back row with him, in case I needed to make a quick exit. As long as he had popcorn to stuff into his mouth, he was fine.

"Tough" doesn't seem to quite cover it, but it is not going to be easy!

Pain killer is working doesn't help that I got a touch of sun either.

I am going through similar job completely up in the air and having no idea what is going on with my life. The company is opening a new store in Hershey in August or whenever construction is finished as ground has not yet even been broken for the building. My DM has pretty much said it is mine, if I want it. However my manager is leaving Tuesday to go down to Myrtle Beach to check out the area, to potentially move down there and manage the store there which they are opening in June. The only thing she says preventing her from doing that is if she can not find housing. So I may have two stores which could be mine. Our merchandising person has said that I will want the brand new location, I am not sure what I want.

Actually I know what I want and it is not with that company. I also found out that the Girl Scout council is hiring several people with the merge. I had been called before to come in for an interview for a similar position, however I was in Florida at the time. By the time I returned they had already hired someone. I was actually glad this individual got the position because I knew her well and she was definitely more qualified than me. She worked retail several years before she got this position and retail was not what she wanted to be doing. I would love to have a job working for the Girl Scout council. I will definitely be pursuing this avenue, submitting a resume, etc as this is more in line with what I want to be doing with my life.

Both of my girls were about 6 weeks......the only time we had trouble and had to take a kid out was for Mr. Magoo.....it was just a bad movie and Abi asked to leave in the only way she knew how...fidgeting. I am a big fan of taking kids early in their life...of course there are kids who won't ever be comfortable in theaters but my girls loved them. We also took them only to the cheap movies...than we weren't out any great amount of money if they fussed.

Becky - Although the weather was not totally cooperative, I am glad you got to volunteer at the GS outing.

I am starting to feel kind of queasy. Depending on the exact salary offer from the family today, the difference is 35-40% higher than the family from Friday. That is serious money. And the hours are shorter by 5 per week. No, everything is not about money, which we have already established. But it is a very useful thing to have.

What a situation... If it were me, and the jobs were just about equal, I would take the higher salary. Yes... I said it! Happiness in your job can be improved with more money, I am sure.

Tomorrow unofficially starts my summer vacation. No preschool, no ballet. So all I have to do is get Nicholas on the bus. No running around! I do, however, need to mow the grass and go to the grocery store. I also told Alyssa we might go to the school and have lunch with Nicholas, so she can see what she will be doing in a few months.
