The DDA Trouble Free Zone Part 25

Well, since no one is around to talk to, I guess I'll finish getting ready for the day! Still have to curl my hair. I'll take the twins to preschool, do a bit of shopping (gotta get a few more surprises for the ride to DL), pick up the twins, take them to their cousins house for the afternoon, and then I work all afternoon at the book fair at school. This is my favorite book fair: buy one get one free! It's a fundraiser for the library. All proceeds go to help buy new books for the library. It's a great way for me to stock Katie and Jacob (and me, too) up on summer reads!

Talk to you all later.

Jen - I hope you have a magical time at Disney!!!

Yay, oh, yay! I have an interview tomorrow evening with the family I am really excited about!! That magical DDA pixie dust is definitely helping me out!

And my kitties are starting to play together! Arabella hides under the bed, and Aurora sits beside the bed. Then they whack each other back and forth from under the dust ruffle.:rotfl2: The hissing has diminished, and they are finally starting to show some interest in interacting without Aurora being mean.:thumbsup2

Let's hope things continue to go well!:yay:

Woo Hoo!! :dance3: Sounds like a great start to your day!!

Does anybody have a miracle cure for headaches??? how about not sleeping?? or sleeping but waking up exhausted still??

I am taking suggestions for any or all of the above.

I love having DSL at home.....no way, no how am I ever going back to dial up. I can actually see every body's pictures clearly.

Elizabeth-does your DS's school have a "graduation" for their 5th graders? Abi's does.....I am  because we have one week left of elementary school.

Cassidy could use some pixie dust....she is working her darnedest and still may fail math again because of the teacher's grading system. :headache: I probably should have taken her out of that class but it would have meant putting her in a class she could pass in her sleep. Finals start tomorrow..I can't believe how fast this year has gone.

Hi, Theresa!
I am loving DSL, too!:thumbsup2
DS has an awards ceremony next Wednesday. He said they are supposed to dress nice - no sneakers. He has sneakers, Crocs, and sport sandals. The teacher said he has plenty of time to go BUY some nice shoes. Hello? Buy nice shoes that he will wear ONCE? I think NOT. The teachers are at a conference in Canada (good timing, huh?) so I will have to ask her next week if she honestly expects me to go buy him shoes for a 90 minute ceremony.
Sister graduates from preschool on Monday. I am off Monday morning but she asked me to come to her graduation so I will go at 11 AM.
:wizard: For Cassidy. I hated math. That is pretty much the only reason I don't have my degree - I can't test high enough to enroll in college level math and I can't be bothered to take 3 semesters of remedial math.

Oh, and I am sorry that I don't have any suggestions for headaches and insomnia. Have you asked the Dr?

One other good thing that happened today is that I saw Arabella drinking plain water for the first time! We have been setting out a bowl of water and a bowl of diluted chicken broth for her, and she was munching her kitten kibble and drinking the plain water earlier. I really want to get away from canned food and broth, so we're going the right direction!:)

Wow! It goes so fast, doesn't it?

The twins have their preschool graduation next Thursday. I can't believe it, either! What are we going to do, Tammi? All our babies will be in school. Is Alyssa in full day kindergarten, or is it like here, only half day?
It's full day. Honestly, I am actually looking forward to her and Nicholas being on the same schedule for a few years. I'll try to get a few pictures uploaded. I'm really disappointed with this camera I got for Christmas.

:wizard: that the salary negoations go good.

:wizard: and prayers that Cassidy passes math and does not have to do summer school.

Theresa if you find the cure for Headaches let me know.
Mine got so bad last night that I called in to work. it finally decreased from migraine to just a dull headache around 8am today.
Also Olivia started feeling bad around 6pm refused to eat supper, she crawled up in my lap, I put my legs on one of the other chairs and she layed down on my lap and went to sleep. She woke up about 2hrs later I was going potty she calls out that she wants mommy. She comes into the bathroom and then proceeds to throw up.
She seems to be feeling fine today though.

So we are going to bar b q a pork roast for supper.

What is every one elses plans for supper?

Good news!

Bernadette,
I don't want your TR to end, I am having so much fun reading it. Great pictures!!!
Just the last night and a few hours at MK to go-wish I was there now!

We just got home alittle while ago from the girls dance rehearsal. (almost 4 hours! ) We go back again tom'w!

The girls did great. Sophie kepy smiling & Katie looked like a real ballerina. They both got their trophies. Katie got her 8 year whihc is huge! Sophie got her 3 year.

The sky opened up as we were leaving. I got them home, made grilled cheese sandwiches & pickles. They were starving & quickly devoured them. Showers for all & now they are in bed.
Whew....

My back is still hurting like crazy..its been about a month of this & now its unbearable. I have a Dr. appt on Friday to see what the heck it is.

I am pooped so I am going to bed. Good night friends.
:wizard: Hope things went well with the doctor!

So tonight at the Girl Scout meeting I had the girls write Thank you letters for my two co-leaders. I was afraid of what I might get, as some of them constantly fool around. Let's just say I think my co-leaders will be in tears because some of them are so thoughtful and well thought out. They blew me away and I was in tears as I glanced through them.:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

Now I just have to get my butt in gear and get the pictures printed out and the pages assembled. So that I did not waste the girls time. I think it would be more effective if I had it ready for the awards on 5/30, but I am aiming for June 10th to have it finished.

I realized today that my classes had started on Monday.  Since I was not prepared and since I have the option to Friday to drop out that is what I did. I did not have books or necessary materials and since the past two weeks flew by, I decided it would be best to not take classes this summer.

Friday night to Saturday is Relay for Life, I guess I should figure out how to get there.

Hope everyone had a great day.
I am really happy to read that the girls were so thoughtful and I'm really, really happy to read that you're taking a break from school though I'm sure you'll stay as busy as ever.

So I am looking at 4 jobs. 2 seriously, 1 still needs more info, and 1 I don't want at all and I shouldn't even count it.
The mom from this morning e-mailed me and let me know they definitely can't afford the salary I quoted. BUT that gave me a chance to e-mail her back and tell her that I am VERY interested in this job and I am willing to negotiate on salary for the sake of being in a job I love. I just haven't been thrilled with what I have been seeing in my salary range, so perhaps a bit of tweaking is in order. If anyone has some pixie dust to spare please toss it my way along with a wish that this family can meet my lower request. :)
:wizard: :wizard: :wizard:

Good night, Jen! I hope you dream of Disney! (In a good way. Not like the dream I had the other night where the hotel room had no walls.)
:lmao: Good thing you didn't get the room I first got last year with no furniture....you'd be having nightmares.;)

Just a quick pop in to say...

Have fun Jen!!

I'll try to check in later tonight after our appointment. Have a great day, everyone!!
Can't wait to hear about your 3D ultrasound!:wizard:

Good morning.

Today is Alyssa's graduation from preschool. After today my baby will be a kindergartener!!! :sad1:

I'll try to post some pictures later.
Congrats to Alyssa. :grouphug: For you.

Good morning, all! I am so sorry that I have been gone so long! I don't think that I will get a chance to catch up. I have to get in the shower now, and I'll be gone all day. Also, we are celebrating Miles' birthday today, since yesterday (his actual birthday) was crazy busy!

I may be able to stop in tomorrow for a little bit, but I haven't even started getting ready for our trip to Connecticut for the synchro regionals.

Please PM me if there is anything going on that I need to know about. I'll check my e-mail later and see the PM. If someone wants to PM me a quick summary of the last week or so, that would be great, too!

Nursery school ends after next week, so hopefully I'll have at least a little more time.

:wizard: and :grouphug: to all that need it!

Tia, HAPPY BIRTHDAY (two days late)!!! I stumbled upon your birthday thread this morning.

Beth
Happy Birthday Miles.

Today is the last day of Preschool for Colby and Logan. I have to run more errands while they are at school in preparation for our camping trip. I also need to clean, pack and cook today all that needs to be done before I go to work at 4:30. Why do I always seem to be in a pinch? No point in pouting I just need to get moving and get it done.

Have a great trip Jen

Deb
I'm sure you'll do it but here's a little :wizard: that it all goes smoothly for you today!

Sorry no miracles here. :grouphug:

It's full day. Honestly, I am actually looking forward to her and Nicholas being on the same schedule for a few years. I'll try to get a few pictures uploaded. I'm really disappointed with this camera I got for Christmas.

Lizzy did 1/2 day but then the next year they started offering a tuition based optional full day. Nearly 90% of the kids do full day. Joe is in full day and it has been really great for him. It was nice to have them on the same schedule this year.

Next year Lizzy goes to a new school so all 3 will have different schedules and we still haven't figured out how DH will be home to get Lizzy off the bus at 2:50 and pick up Emma on time at 3:00. Lizzy will get out of school at 2:10 so DH could go pick her up but then they'd have a long wait for Emma but not enough time to go home. I'd be looking for a solution now but he won't do that until after school starts.

Hope Olivia is feeling better :wizard:
