We just made the 1st payment on the house. I did call to tell our landlord(well he's not anymore, but he is who we are buying from)about what happened & he is getting us another one! I did not ask, he just offered, so I was very happy.

We have Ins., but the deductible cost more the water heater would & as far as smoke damage it is contained to the basement(it is not much though), thank goodness!
Wonderful news!!

Ok, my friends, I need some preschool help. Leslie has been assigned the "sound box". She has been assigned the letter Y and has to fill the box with items that start with Y. My mind is having a brain warp, and the only things I can come up with are Yarn, Yo-yo, Yogurt, Yellow (I'll put a yellow crayon in the box). Can anyone else come up with any other Y items?

Thanks in advance.

Sooo what do ya all think
I like the first one.

Have you guys heard the rumor that in 2008 there will be no tips included on the DDP? Interesting. We already know that we come out ahead with the DDE card. The only reason we have DDP for August is because it was free. Would you still buy DDP if you had to tip out of pocket?:confused3
Hmmm..I don't think I like the sound of that.:confused3

Hello everyone I thought I would just pop in to say hi and let everyone know how we're doing. I miss being able to chat but things with Zack and school has been hectic. Throw a few ER visits in and what a spring. Effie was climbing in the kitchen and fell and cracked the back of his head so needed stitches. But we are doing well.
Zack is now on some medication and I feel like we're actually making progress.:thumbsup2 He has autism spectral disorder and PDD-NOS and is being evaluated by a occupational therapist for sensory integration disorder.
The kids have 1 month of school left and I have a ton of volunteer things to wrap up. I hope everyone is doing well and maybe I'll have some free time when school gets out to DIS.:) I still have to plan our family's GG for this Dec. :santa: ADR's have to be made in June and I'm nowhere near figuring out what restaurants every family can agree on.
Well I'm off to gather up things for teacher appreciation week. Thank you to everyone who prayed for Zack this year as things are starting to go somewhere and I feel prayer had something to do with it. Thanks and I hope everyone has a great May. :goodvibes
Christi
Hi Christi. It's good to hear from you. Poor Effie. I hope it healed nicely. I'm sure that was very scary for you.

I'm glad Zack is making medical progress and I will continue to pray for you all. Pop in when you can!

Glynis - Oooh! Yeast is a good one! DS actually has a pin that is this tent thing from Pocahontas and it is called a yehakins. Maybe you can Google for a picture of one?

We found out today that DS passed all of his TAKS tests! The teachers kept saying the Science test is really hard, and the kids only get one shot to pass it. If they fail the principal has to give them permission to go to the next grade level. Since our principal was fired in the aftermath of the lawsuit the lady we have now doesn't know DS from a hole in the ground, so I am VERY thankful that his future does not rest in her hands!
Yay for DS!!! I'm sure that is a huge relief off of your minds. Now he can relax and coast to the end of the year. ;)

Thanks everyone for your dress opinions..My favorite is dress 1 ( i think) and my family likes dress 2...

I dont know if they are too formal for graduation..my hips are huge so i was trying to hide that haah

I was surprised since I ate whatever I wanted at the communion but I was good the other 6 days. I am so happy..I thought I would just end up maintaining.

:grouphug: for everyone. I am heading to bed.

Boy, the DIS is really messed up! Look at the time stamps... they are over 30 minutes slow!

Anne Marie - the pictures are wonderful and you all are so beautiful. Daniel did well!

Robyn - hope Molly feels better and YAY for Emma!

Elizabeth - good going on the kitty.

Marci - did the boys get their games in?

Christi - wonderful to hear about your family. I hope things continue to improve.

Only if they dropped the price along with the tip!

The rumor says the price will stay the same. This is from a guy (I am assuming he is a CM) who posted on the DDP forum that he heard this from his union rep. I was reading about it the other day, too, but I can't remember where. Possibly on the "Rumors" forum.

I heard back from the foster mom, and we are tentatively set for me to get the kitty tomorrow morning. We will have to pay for all of her vet bills, but at least we will have her and know she is safe. I think the foster is very bitter about the way the group is handling things, so she is quite happy to tell all their secrets. Our vet's office was APPALLED that they were going to spay such a little kitty - they want the kitty to be at least 3 months old.

Good luck with the kitty..I like Anna Maria!:lmao:

Congrats to you DS!!!!!!!! Way to go!!!!!!!

Ok now I am really going to bed.

Elizabeth's post about her DS's Texas Standardized Testing reminded me that I had wanted to tell you what the Great Commonwealth of Virginia calls those for our students in public schools:

Standards Of Learning... :rolleyes1

I mentioned that I had forgotten to take Alyssa's Cinderella dress, so she had no princess dress to wear to the BBB, and I certainly wasn't upgrading to the Crown package, for $175. So after eating at AKL the previous night, my parents took the kids back to OKW and I made a quick dash over to MK to buy a dress for her. $60 later I was on my way back to OKW with an Ariel dress.

So on Monday we get up and Alyssa and I head straight to DTD. We had the first appt. at BBB at 9 AM. If any of you do this, beware that the buses do not start running to DTD as early as they do the parks, because nothing is open. The World of Disney doesn't open until 0930, but the BBB, which is in WOD opens at 0900. Anyway, we were at the bus stop at 0815 and the TL bus pulls up, and the driver gratiously offers to take us to DTD since no one was going to TL. Thank you, driver! We got there with plenty of time to spare and walk around checking out all the lego statues.

A few other little princesses to be start trickling in. About 8:50 they open the doors to WOD and we head to the back where the BBB is. At this time about 10 Fairy Godmother's in Training converge on us, which sort of overwhelms Alyssa. She clings to me and is rather shy around them, not wanting to get in her chair. After a little encouragement, she eventually sits and lets them start transforming her.

The first thing they do is hand her a brochure to pick out a hairstyle. She opts for the Diva Princess. FGM Maria starts working on her hair and another one lets Alyssa select what color eyeshadow she wants, nail color, hair clips, extensions, etc.

About 15 minutes later she is now a Birthday Princess.

Afterwards we are sent over to guest services where they have a photography session.

I was able to take my own pictures while the photopass photographer shot hers. I only got one, thanks to my free 5x7 coupon. Alyssa was on :cloud9: .

In the meantime, my mom, dad and Nicholas headed to MK, where Nicholas got his hair done at the barber shop.

By afternoon he was hating it, because it dried, got hard, and started itching. He still has a faint red spot on the back of his head where the dye hasn't completely faded away. We eventually meet up, do a few rides, and then have lunch at CRT, which, as usual, was delicious.

Around 2 we head out and back to our resort for a cool-down and a nap. When we there Alyssa's bday cake had been delivered, along with balloons and a card from Cinderella. Of course we had to have cake then, before our nap.

Around 5 we headed back to MK for some more rides, Spectromagic and Wishes. I liked how this picture turned out. Most of the other ones ended up blurry.

Love the pictures, Tammi! Especially the one of Nocholas and Alyssa with their new "dos." Looks like Alyssa had a really terrfic birthday and your Mom and Dad made it possible for Nicholas to feel like it was a special day for him too.

:rotfl2: Sounds about right!

Tammi - Alyssa looks so pretty!!princess: I am having such a good time reading about your trip! Thanks for telling me about Nicholas's hair. DS would HATE that since he is still kind of tactile defensive. He never wants any kind of tattoos or face paint or anything, and now I know not to do the hair thing.
